Aldi Lacura Microblade Effect Pen

The Aldi Lacura Microblade Effect Pen is oddly not the product I’ve seen people raving about, yet I have absolutely loved using it. I have already shared the Translucent Powder Dupe, some of Aldi’s newest fragrance launches and of course that version of the Bobbi Brown Primer.
Aldi Lacura Microblade Effect Pen
As you can see, the inspiration has very much come from the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Microfilling Brow Pen, though ALDI is not the only brand to have been inspired - think Ciate, Lottie London and of course Revolution too.

The packaging might look similar to Benefit Cosmetics, though it is a much lighter shade of pink for the box with grey rather than silver. The biggest difference, as always is the price. From Aldi, the price is just £2.99, from Benefit you will be spending £20 more!
Aldi Lacura Microblade Effect Pen
The Aldi Lacura Microblade Effect Pen is available in four shades and I have the shade medium brown which I can get to work with my own brows. Described as being waterproof and smudge proof, once applied it is said to give you the micro bladed effect which lasts for 24 hours - personally I never wear makeup for that long, so how true that claim is I don’t know.

With its clever micro tip, the pen is designed to help create ultra fine brows with ease lending the look of pro micro blading. The liquid brow-liner pen is made with a slanted, three-pronged tip which helps to mimic hair-like strokes and redefine the shape of your arches, or if you have gaps, the fill them in to create that fuller brow. As with other brands, you can also flip the pen on to its side to elongate the tail of your brow!

It did take me a good few goes to get to grips with using this pen, the first attempt I might have well have just used a sharpie pen, come the third and fourth attempt, much better!
Aldi Lacura Microblade Effect Pen
Aldi Lacura Microblade Effect Pen
As you can see from the swatches, the lines are really fine when drawn and the harder your press, the deeper the brown colouring gets and once I have finished with my spoolie you comb through, my brows look less-over-tweezed-as-a-teen to something a little more respectable.

For me, this is one to look out this coming week in your local Aldi Store and that glorious middle eye - especially because it is just £2.99!

Aldi Lacura Flawless Veil Translucent Powder - Laura Mercier Dupe?

You might have noticed that Aldi Lacura has released an impressive amount of products in recent weeks - the Flawless Coverage CC Cream and Vitabase Moisturising Primer to name two of them. Today I am back with another product and that is the Aldi Lacura Flawless Veil Translucent Powder.
Aldi Lacura Flawless Veil Translucent Powder
Aldi Lacura Flawless Veil Translucent Powder
As you might have guessed, the Aldi Lacura Flawless Veil Translucent Powder has been inspired by the much loved Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, which everyone, including myself, raves about.  The difference between Aldi and Laura Mercier is £4.99 v £34 which is quite the saving, but is the Aldi Flawless Veil Translucent Powder any good?

Well as always, the packaging is always a highly contentious debate and I don't think they are too similar this time, with the Aldi jar being matte white but with a shiny bronze, slightly domed lid.  Then with the powder, Laura Mercier prides herself on having a lightweight, exceptionally milled powder and it really is both of those, Aldi whilst being talc free, is slightly heavier, though still light enough that when applied you can barely notice it - that is once you have got the hang of applying it.

Right now in the heat, I am sure many of us are 'no makeup' and whilst I still wear tinted moisturiser, I tend to use a setting powder for those shiny face parts and with this powder, whilst there is no accompany powder puff, I instead use a small flat powder brush to dab it on to the areas I need to use it on.
Aldi Lacura Flawless Veil Translucent Powder
What this powder doesn't do is make your skin look as though you have just placed it in a bowl of talcum powder (thankfully), it also doesn't have a scent to it either.  What it does do is mop up all that excess oil, keep the shine at bay and does a pretty good job at setting makeup.

When it comes to how long it lasts, Laura Mercier claim their version sets makeup for up to 16 hours, how true that is I don't know because I don't ever wear makeup for that long and if I am going out in the evening, chances are I will re-apply my makeup anyway.  The Aldi Lacura version definitely lasts 4-5 hours, even in this heat before you need to re-apply and it also does a good job at blurring pores and imperfections, just as the Laura Mercier one does.

At £4.99 this is a really good back-up if you are very much a Laura Mercier fan, definitely worth trying.  You can find it in stores from 28th July!

Aldi Lacura Newest fragrance Launches

One of my favourite discoveries from Aldi Lacura is their fragrance range, not just the candles, wax melts and Reed diffusers but they also have an incredible range of perfume and aftershaves that are not to be sniffed at. Having already shared a few of those fragrances in recent weeks, today I am back with three more!
Aldi Lacura Newest fragrance Launches
Meet Guardian, Luxe and Floral Love, three fragrances from the Aldi range and you might have guess that they are inspired by Thierry Mugler Alien, Viktor Rolf's FlowerBomb and of course Marc Jacobs Decadence.

Anyone who knows me or reads my blog will know just how much I detest Alien by Thierry Mugler, there is something about the notes that I just cannot stomach, but I was willing to give Guardian a try.

Each one of these fragrances retails for just £5.99 and whilst the bottles are not that similar to their high-end inspiration, they are all really well made and quite distinguishable in any perfume collection, but how do they rate?
Aldi Lacura Newest fragrance Launches
Starting with Guardian which has been formulated with sweet scents of pineapple, coconut and mandarin orange which work alongside the sharper aromas of red berries, orchid and jasmine. Then finally the base notes of vanilla, amber, caramel and tonka bean. Unsurprisingly, Thierry Mugler Angel has very similar fragrance notes which are the sweet red fruits, soft caramel, honey and praline, combined with the captivating power of patchouli and vanilla.

The two fragrances do smell very similar as soon as they are spritzed but Guardian is less heavy with the vanilla and it makes it, for me, much easier to wear. When it comes to longevity, I haven’t worn Angel long enough to compare the two but Guardian gives a good 3-4 hours wear time before it would need to be re-applied. Priced at just £5.99 whereas bottles of Angel can retail over £100, so it’s quite the saving.

The second fragrance, Luxe is packaged in an emerald green bottle and it is quite striking, though clearly not a patch on the Marc Jacobs Decadence fragrance which is made to look like a snakeskin handbag.

Again with this fragrance, the notes of Luxe are described as being notes of saffron and iris that complement undertones of papyrus and heady vetiver. Added to that is the description of a fragrance which is deeply woody and sensual with creamy notes of jasmine and strong aroma of Bulgarian Rose. Contrasting that to Decadence we have top notes of Plum, Saffron and iris; heart notes of Orris, Jasmine Sambac and Bulgarian Rose before finally it’s base notes are Vetiver, Papyrus and Liquidambar. So once again, very similar notes in the same order but the slight difference between the two for me is the top notes, they’re much stronger in Decadence than they are in Luxe but as they dry down they become remarkably similar but I prefer Luxe once it has dried down because it doesn’t quite have that sharpness I find with Decadence.

The final fragrance is my favourite of the three and it is Floral Love, which is described as being a dupe of Flowerbomb from Victor & Rolf.   The bottles, which are both glass are very different in design though both are quite weighty in the hand. Again, it costs just £5.99 for 100ml and that is a massive saving of over £100 for the same sized bottle!

Floral Love is described as a ‘celebration of all things floral’ with notes of rose, freesia, and African orange flower. Then with Flowerbomb we have top notes of Tea, Bergamot and Osmanthus; heart notes of Orchid, Jasmine, Rose, Freesia and African Orange flower and then the base notes are Patchouli, Musk and Vanilla.   Both of these fragrances smell exactly the same to me, they open with that wonder zesty scent and settles with the jasmine and rose before the musk comes through to keep the vanilla from being too heady.  On the skin, Floral Love lasts a really good amount of time, for me it’s 6-7 hours, so a full day at work and people can still catch it as I walk by.

I have one more Aldi fragrance still to share on my blog and this time it is one for him! But for now you can enjoy these three beauties which are the same but different!

Aldi Lacura Flawless Coverage CC Cream

Another new launch from Aldi and it is their Aldi Lacura Flawless Coverage CC Cream, said to be inspired by It Cosmetics CC Cream.
Aldi Lacura Flawless Coverage CC Cream
Aldi Lacura Flawless Coverage CC Cream
The It Cosmetics CC cream is one of my absolute must-have products and even at £36.50, I don’t even hesitate to repurchase as soon as a I run out, it’s become almost like a comfort blanket when my skin just needs perking up, blemishes covering and that natural look being the end goal, so what if Aldi can recreate that product at a fraction of a cost? Well let’s see if it does!

Packaged in purple, it’s notable that the packaging is not the same in any way shape or form, nor is the applicator similar, however both tubes have the holographic strip, similar writing on the tube and both have the SPF50 claims.
Aldi Lacura Flawless Coverage CC Cream
It Cosmetics offer a total of 14 different shades and Aldi Lacura offers 6 - all of which I have seen in store and I have Shade 1 which is fair.  So the downside to Aldi Lacura is that the shade range is limited.

Despite having a similar ingredients base, think hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed collagen, niacinamide and peptides, the textures are completely different. Anyone who is familiar with It Cosmetics will recognise and possibly adore that slightly thick texture which glides onto the skin effortlessly (shown here), blending like an absolute dream. From Aldi Lacura, the formula is much lighter though it also applies like a dram and doesn’t an incredible job at covering blemishes, leaving the skin with that Demi-matte appearance.
Aldi Lacura Flawless Coverage CC Cream
Aldi Lacura Flawless Coverage CC Cream
Longevity, It Cosmetics is much longer lasting, in so much as once I’ve applied it to my skin, I’m happy to not have to top up or re-apply in an evening, though with the Aldi Lacura version, there was patches I would definitely need to top up and re-apply - though personally I don’t find that much of an issue.

Priced at £4.99 it is worth looking out for in your local Aldi store if you are a fan of It Cosmetics or have been wanting to give it a try.

Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer - Bobbi Brown Dupe?

Fans of Bobbi Brown’s popular Face Base primer might have to look twice with a new release from the Aldi Lacura range! Meet Vitabase Moisturising Primer which, at a first glance you can see exactly where its inspiration has come from and why it has been quite the TikTok phenomenon!
Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer - Bobbi Brown Dupe?
Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer - Bobbi Brown Dupe?
The Vitabase Moisturising Primer from Aldi Lacura retails at just £5.99 but the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base will cost around £46.50, so already that is quite the saving, if indeed Aldi does prove to be a dupe! Let's see.

Firstly is the packaging, both have an outer white box which describes the product inside and then both have a glass pot, again detailing what the product is.  At a first glance, they are similar but not identical, personally I think the Aldi Lacura bottle is far sturdier of the two.

For products that are described as dupes, texture and ingredients for me are what makes a product. Starting with the texture, from Lacura we have a texture which feels very much like a moisturising cream and it is slightly thicker than Bobbi Brown's version, but only just and admittedly, I am a fan of both textures. On the skin, from Aldi Lacura, Vitabase glides onto the skin effortlessly and isn't greasy or tacky and it has that fresh light zesty scent to it.  So we still tick those boxes for being similar but not identical.
Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer - Bobbi Brown Dupe?
When it comes to ingredients from Aldi you have Vitamins B, C and E alongside Shea Butter, Sodium Hyaluronate and Geranium Oil and from Bobbi Brown you won't be too surprised to find the ingredients are the same as those I have listed from Aldi Lacura, only Bobbi Browns trumps the grapefruit scent as being energising and within Vitabase it is pink grapefruit.  This has been one of the closest dupes I have come across and yes, I am using that D word that I don't use too often.  Used in exactly the same way as Bobbi Brown, it is faultless for me.

If being on a budget is where you find yourself, then the Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer is one to find and buy in bulk.  There is absolutely nothing I dislike about the product, it performs just as well as my Bobbi Brown version and at a saving of £40, worth every single penny!

The Aldi Lacura range of beauty and makeup products is not one to ignore, from their Pro Collagen range to the fragrance range it is always worth keeping an eye on what is coming next.  On my blog, I have quite a few newly launched products to share over the coming weeks.

Aldi’s Caviar Collagen Pro Skincare Range

Back in 2015, when Aldi first debuted their Caviar range and it was the first time I had heard people rave about the Lacura brand, especially given the price point of £6.99 instead of £100 upwards. In recent weeks, Aldi has once again created a line of products which sent my social media feed into a bit of a frenzy and having taken the time to try the products out over the last few months, I can see why. Introducing the brand new Caviar Collagen Pro range from Lacura.
Aldi’s Caviar Collagen Pro Skincare Range
As you might expect from Aldi, this range of products features premium skincare ingredients which includes Caviar Extract, Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Earth Marine Water and Algae Complex, this unique formulation has been specifically designed for the beauty brand and helps to reduce signs of ageing whilst plumping and protecting skin, the outcome being that the complexion if left feeling hydrated and looking all glowy.

So why those ingredients?

  • Caviar Extract - works to deliver nutritive elements to the skin as it is rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals, plus it helps to reduce the signs of ageing.
  • Collagen - known for its plumping and smoothing properties, it also helps to firm the skin.
  • Hyaluronic Acid - helps to improve the skins water binding ability and helps the retention of moisture which results in well hydrated and supple skin.
  • Earth Marine Water + Algae Complex - this is a special combination of ingredients which promotes the natural glow of the skin and helps to even out the skin tone.

Within this Caviar Collagen Pro range is four products and they retail in price from £4.99 up to £7.99 and here is what you can find.

The first product you need to hunt down and get your hands on is the Lacura Caviar Collagen Pro Day Cream with SPF 15 (£7.99, 50ml). Described as being the one to tick all the boxes, this cream helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as prevent the development of pigmentation marks. With promises to tighten and firm, this formulation has added SPF 15 to help protect against premature ageing.
Aldi’s Caviar Collagen Pro Skincare Range
What I absolutely love about this Day Cream is its texture, it sits somewhere between being lightweight and thick enough to melt onto and into the skin without any effort. It has no notable fragrance to it and whilst I don't have enough of the fine lines and wrinkles to confirm it ticks the box, what I can tell you is that it is hydrating, it moisturises, it doesn't sit on the skin, it isn't slimy or sticky and the tightening and firming, I would say not quite there, but definitely a glowy after-use.

My favourite product from the range comes next and it is described as being a more concentrated treatment, and it is the Lacura Caviar Collagen Day Serum (£5.99, 50ml). Again, it is described as being the one to take skincare routines to the next level, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improving elasticity, meaning your skin will appear firmer, tighter and plumped for a youthful looking complexion.
Aldi’s Caviar Collagen Pro Skincare Range
I like a serum to be a serum and one of my biggest bug bears are those which apply delightfully to the skin but are then sticky and tacky to the touch, a common issue with many serums.  This one comes out of the tube like a rich cream, but disappears within miliseconds on the skin and it leaves behind, soft, smooth skin. It really is delightful.

Not forgetting the eyes, the Lacura Caviar Collagen Pro Eye Cream (£4.99, 15ml) has been designed to hydrate and give that rested-eye look. For me, an eye cream shouldn't be thick, it should be lightweight to apply and absorb into the skin quickly and this does tick both of those boxes. You need just the smallest amount, I apply mine using either my ring finger or by using my metal eye cream applicator, which is dreamy.
Aldi’s Caviar Collagen Pro Skincare Range
Leaving the under-eye area feeling nourished and not causing any irritation, it is the perfect addition to both your morning and evening routines.

The final product within this quartet is the Lacura Collagen Pro Night Cream (£7.99, 50ml) and it is the one which is said to boast a natural repair system to help revitalise skin overnight.
Aldi’s Caviar Collagen Pro Skincare Range
Like most night creams, this one has a slightly richer texture to it and without being greasy or slimy, it glides onto the skin, leaving behind a soft, smooth surface to the skin.   What I have enjoyed about using this cream is how moisturising it is, especially when my skin is a little drier than usual right now.

For anyone who is looking to start a skincare routine that doesn't yet have one, or for anyone who is wanting to swap out products for something new, then this is a line of products I cannot recommend enough, especially at the price points given.

Aldi Fragrances - dupes?

I absolutely love my fragrances and when it comes to Aldi, they do have an entire fragrance catalogue, which you might or might not have come across.  I make no secret of my love for the Aldi Lacura range, if you have never tried it, there are some absolute delights to find, the latest being the Warming Eye Masks.  However, today I am sharing some of the latest fragrances to launch and they might just surprise you.
Aldi Fragrances - dupes?
The latest two fragrances to launch within the Aldi range is Lacura Lady Pour Femme EDP and Lacura Atom EDPP both 100ml and both priced at just £5.99.  At this stage you might be wondering where Aldi got their inspiration from for these fragrances! Well keep on reading to find out!

Lacura Lady Pour Femme Eau de Parfum is described as being a sensual scent which boasts dark notes of sandalwood and tonka bean to compliment the notes of orange blossom and Bularian rose.  So have you guessed what it might be a dupe for? The answer is Carolina Herrera Good Girl.
Aldi Fragrances - dupes?
So where do the similarities start and end?  For anyone who is a fan of Good Girl, of which I am as you can see here, the bottle is perhaps one of the most iconic of its kind. That stiletto heel is attention grabbing, it looks stunning and is like nothing else I have ever owned. Aldi have not copied that design, instead their bottle happens to be a deep blue with a gold lid, so you could say the colour design compliments the stiletto but that's all.

When it comes to the fragrance, they are incredibly similar, from Caroline Herrera, you have a scent which is fresh, rich, it is bold and incredibly beautiful with the citrusy floral aroma and in contrast, you get pretty much that very same scent with Lady Pour Femme from Lacura, only the sillage isn't as good and the opening notes are not as fresh.  However, at £5.99 for 100ml versus £98 for 80ml, it is worth looking out for in store.

The second fragrance is Atom and it is described as being carefully formulated with Iso E Super to create a warm fragrance that is designed to adapt to each person who wears it. So have you guessed what it might be a dupe for? The answer is Escentric Molecules - Molecule 01, which happens to also be one of my all time favourite fragrances.
Aldi Fragrances - dupes?
It isn't easy to describe Escentric Molecules 01 as a fragrance to anyone but it is best described as being a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for women and men. Created by the incredible Geza Schoen to take the fragrance industry and give it a shake to create something completely different. Molecules 01 is designed to blend with the wearer’s natural pheromones and create a scent which is unique to each person that applies it, so much so, you might not be able to smell it on yourself. Whenever I wear this fragrance, I am always asked multiple times what I am wearing, much more so than any other fragrance I own.

From Aldi with Atom, there are no similarities when it comes to the bottle design, firstly it is much more rounded whereas as Escentric Molecules is square and whilst both are 100ml, you pay £5.99 with Aldi and £72 with ES.  However, there is for me a difference in the fragrances, they are similar on the first spritz (I am using the example of spraying them on the hubby) but when drying down, Atom carried the woody amber scent much stronger and again the silage isn't as good.  However, if you have always wondered about Escentric Molecules 01 and wanted to know what all the fuss is about, Atom isn't one to turn your nose up at, but it definitely doesn't beat the original.

Both of these fragrances can be found within the Aldi Health and Beauty range and as with many Aldi Lacura products, they come in and out of stock all the time, so worth keeping an eye out for.

Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar

It is no secret that I happen to think Aldi has some pretty amazing beauty offers, having recently upped their K-Beauty collection, they have now just released another incredible product that you are going to want to try and it is the Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar.  It will be back on sale online and in store this week!!
Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar
Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar
Now looking at this Bath Nectar, you might notice that it is very much inspired by the Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Honey Bath, which retails at £45 for 300g, so as a product, it is very much on the luxurious side of things. The Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar is priced at just £5.99 for the same 300g, which is a saving of almost £40!

Relax and unwind in complete luxury with Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar (£5.99), the latest launch from Aldi’s Health and Beauty brand. With calming scents of vanilla and honey, the indulgent nectar comes complete with a wooden honey dipper to leave skin soft and smooth and in complete serenity. What’s more, shoppers can save up to 82% compared to Laura Mercier.

To look at, the packaging is completely different to Laura Mercier in that Aldi's version has a much more rounded plastic jar with a silver lid and Laura Mercier is less Jam Jar and very sleek, though both have silver lids. For fans of Laura Mercier it is all about the honey dipper and that scent. Well the Aldi Bath Nectar also comes with the wooden honey dipper and surprisingly it is really well made and slightly more rounded.
Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar
Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar
Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar
The Aldi Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar does have the most wonderful golden colour to it and when removing the lid there is an immediate vanilla and honey scent that wafts past, like the very first opening of a jar of fresh honey, that wonderfully sweet scent that is just so moreish, very much like a freshly opened bar of honey!

The directions for using this Bath Nectar is swirl the wooden honey dipper into the jar and then place it under the running tap to create lovely honey vanilla scented bubbles.  The honey dipper itself works really well with the bath nectar and does a great job at helping you to use the product without getting it everywhere.
Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar
If you love the sound of this and want to try the Aldi Lacura Vanilla Honey Golden Bath Nectar, then get ready to get your hands on it.  The Aldi Lacura Vanilla Golders Bath Nectar will be available to pre-order online from the 23rd January, and you can find in stores from the 27th January.

Lacura Self-Heating Eye Masks

One of my favourite discoveries has been heated eye masks, I use them if I am unable to drop off to sleep or if I have a headache and I’m delighted to share that Aldi has launched their very own Lacura Self-Heating Eye Masks
Aldi Self-Heating Eye Masks
Heated eye masks have been around for a good few years now and a lot of brands have come up with their own version, some even charge with a USB. From Aldi, there is two options and those are the ones I am sharing with you today.
Add some much-need tranquility and calmness to your wellness routine and at a minimal cost with Aldi’s first ever self-heating eye masks.
Launching as part of the award-winning beauty brand Lacura, which those of you who read my blog regularly enough, will know that I am a huge fan of the Lacura range and have shared a lot of products here, one of my favourites being the Max Volume Mascara.

The Lacura self-heating Eye Masks feature astrological prints and come in two different fragrances, Chamomile or Jasmine. Simple and easy to use, these masks heat up automatically from your own body heat. They are created from a non-woven lining for optimum comfort on the delicate eye area, and boast comfortable ear loops to make sure they stay in place without being too tight. Better still, once these masks have cooled off, you can continue to wear them as an eye mask to block out any light.
Lacura Self-Heating Eye Masks

Lacura Self-Heating Eye Masks
I have tried quite a few different branded Self-Heated Eye Masks and most have been a delight to use, so I was really excited to try Aldi’s very own inspired offering. What I loved is how comfortable they are to wear and for me, I found these particular ear loops much better than other brands, the joy of having small ears means the loops are often too big and the eye masks slip off your face, these ones stayed put.   Scented with Jasmine and Chamomile, both fragrances are found within those relaxing categories and the scent is delightful, not too overpowering but present enough that you notice it.

These Lacura Self-Hearing Eye Masks are designed to suit all face shapes and come in packs of five, priced at just £4.99. At this price, if you find them in your local Aldi grab them!

Aldi Lacura Spa Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Gift Set

With Mother’s Day on the horizon, the Aldi Lacura range have a whole host of gifts within their beauty section that are not to be missed. One of those is the Aldi Lacura Spa Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Gift Set.
Aldi Lacura Spa Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Gift Set
Aldi Lacura Spa Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Gift Set
It is absolutely no secret that I am a pretty big fan of the Aldi middle aisle but even more so of their beauty range.

Inspired by Rituals with their Renewing Treat Gift Set, Aldi has dedicated this gift set for that at home “spa experience” or for a little pampering time and at just £8.99 it is an absolute bargain to get your hands on.

Packaged inside an impressive box which is accompanied with a bright pink ribbon, so it does look nicely presented to hand straight over to that special person in your life, or even for yourself as a treat.
Aldi Lacura Spa Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Gift Set
As you can see, the gift set features four products which includes:
  • Foaming Shower Gel
  • Nourishing Hand Lotion
  • Relaxing Body Oil
  • Softening Rice Body Scrub
I have been using all four of these products since they arrived (sorry Mam, it isn't coming your way) and I absolutely love the scent.

The Foaming Shower Gel does an incredible job at foaming, similar to other products and brands who create these types of products, you only need one press of the dispenser to get more than enough to use.  The scent is immediately obvious as soon as the foam leaves the bottle and it isn't too sweet or sickly, it is really fresh scented.

Following on from the foam, the softening Rice Body Scrub, is just delightful, it isn't overly abrasive but it is most definitely noticeable on the skin and it is one I tend to use on my shins where I have scaly skin from months of wearing chunky knit tights or leggings.

The Relaxing Body Oil was a bit of a surprise because I wasn't expecting the texture to be as it is.  In its spray bottle, which I think is an amazing idea, the oil, which is non-greasy, dries onto and into the skin quite quickly and it leaves behind the most wonderful cherry blossom scent too!

Then finally with the Nourishing Hand Cream, it is again a lovely rich texture which I really liked. Once on the skin, it massages in really quickly and is again, non-greasy or sticky when applied. Wonderfully scented of those cherry blossoms.

For £8.99 this is a wonderful selection of products and I love how they come packaged ready for gifting. For me, the star of the show is The Relaxing Body Oil because it comes with a really good pump dispenser, smells incredible and applies like a dream.

On sale from 20th March, look out for it in your local Aldi Store.

Aldi Lacura K-Beauty New Launches

Today I am sharing some new launches from Aldi's Lacura best-selling range which has been inspired by Korean Beauty.  K-Beauty is a huge area within the beauty industry that has really taken off and over the past few years, I have tried a lot of products, so I am delighted once again, to see Aldi throwing their hat into the ring with this lot.
Aldi Lacura K-Beauty New Launches
The Aldi Lacura K-Beauty inspired range of K-Beauty products features 10 different products, of which 4 are brand new to the line up and impressively, they are all priced between £1.49 up to £4.99, which could see shoppers save over £199 compared to some other brands!

Aldi’s Lacura K-Beauty Skincare full range:

  • Banana Souffle Face Cream
  • Plum Hyaluronic Acid Serum
  • Deep Cleaning Bubble Mask
  • H20 Overnight Face Sleeping Mask
  • Watermelon Gel Moisturiser
  • Pineapple Face Serum
  • Avocado Overnight Retinol Sleeping Eye Mask
  • Dewy Lip Balm
First out of my box of tricks is the Lacura Deep Cleansing Bubble Mask (£1.49) and some might say it has been inspired by the GlamGlow Bubble Sheet Mask (£8).
Aldi Lacura K-Beauty New Launches
New for 2022, this Deep Cleansing Bubble Mask is infused with charcoal which helps to purify and cleanse the skin and it only needs 5 minutes of your time.  On the skin, the mask, which fit pretty well, begins to bubble almost instantly.  What I love about these masks is they don't exactly make for pretty photos but they are a lot of fun.  As it bubbles, I didn't find there was any tingling sensation at all, but when I removed the mask, there was a little excess product that I massaged into my skin.

The next product within the K-Beauty range is the Papaya Enzyme Face Scrub (£4.99).
Aldi Lacura K-Beauty New Launches
Aldi Lacura K-Beauty New Launches
This scrub, which is inspired by a Glow Recipe product is designed to remove impurities and help improve the appearance and texture of the skin due to its dual exfoliation properties, physical Cellulose and added papaya enzymes.   On this skin, I had expected this scrub to be overly abrasive, but surprisingly it isn't, but if you apply a little pressure you can feel it working against the skin.

If you skin is in need of some hydration, then the new Lacura Plum Hyaluronic Acid Serum (£4.99) might be just the product you need.
Aldi Lacura K-Beauty New Launches
This serum is formulated with three antioxidant-rich plum extracts and is enriched with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin B5. On the skin it is incredibly lightweight and absorbs incredibly quickly on contact with the skin. Texture wise, I really like how this feels, it is a watery-gel substance that is thick enough to not be runny, but not too thick it just lingers on the skin.  You might also notice that it is inspired by Glow Recipe and their Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum (£37)

The next product is one I really like and it is the Banana Souffle Face Cream (£4.99) and again, if your skin needs a little extra TLC, then this cream is the one to try. Again, it has been inspired by Glow Recipe Banana SoufflĂ© Moisture Cream (£36).

Designed to help with hydration, thanks to the inclusion of Squalene, this lightweight cream works to protect your skin’s moisture barrier and when needed, it helps with the healing of dry skin. Other ingredients include  turmeric and Centella Asiatica which host antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties.  There is, as you might expect a very light scent of banana with this cream which I really like.

The next product is one I have shared previously on my blog.  The H2Overnight Face Sleeping Mask (£4.99), which you could say has been inspired by Laneige and their Water Sleeping Mask (£26).

This Sleeping Mask is a lightweight gel mask formulated with Aloe Barbadensis Lead Juice, Rose Centifolia Flower Extract and Sodium Hyaluronate to improve the appearance of tired looking skin overnight.

The final product within my little collection is an eye cream. For me, an eye cream is an essential item and I use mine both morning and evening as part of my routine. From the Aldi Lacura range we have the Avocado Bright eyes Overnight Retinol Sleeping Mask (£4.49).  Again, this product is inspired by Glow Recipe and their Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask (£41)

This Eye Sleep Mask is described as being a special something to target dark, tired and puffy eyes, well that is me every single morning because my sleep pattern is confused and a tad disturbed and has been for some time. This product is infused with coffee seed extract, avocado oil, and as the name suggests retinol, these ingredients come together to work to banish dark circles, tighten the skin under the eye, to leave you looking bright eyed and bushy tailed. As I am just finishing an eye cream, this is one I am yet to try, so I will update this post in a few months time with how it has gone.

As you can see, there is a huge difference in price between the offerings from the Aldi Lacura K-Beauty range and other brands.  As soon as these products come into stock, they sell out really quickly, so if you see them and want to try them, get them whist you can.  In my local store, all 10 products are on sale but in very limited numbers.
