Blogger Christmas Swap

This Christmas i took part in a beauty swap which was hosted by Clare from The Love of All Things Beauty and I'm really glad that I took part in it. I was paired with Natalie from Your Almost Alice and after a few emails back and forth we set a budget of £20 and gave each other a list of likes and dislikes and I have to say Natalie put together one amazing package, I was totally chuffed and this is what was inside - Santa said I could open it!

So In this box I have myself a really lovely litter pamper session waiting to happen! Lush Butterbear and I am so chuffed that I have finally got my hands on some Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish which I cannot wait to start using and it will also be my first time using Balmi lip balm too!  Plus the Collection Lip Butter shade is totally amazing and I cannot wait to use that as well!

Thank you Natalie for my amazing box, it was so much fun to put yours together and I absolutely love mine!

What do you think to my Christmas Swap?

#ZoellaBeauty

I love seeing Bloggers become successful and when I first noticed Zoella was to have her own Beauty range at a Superdrug event I went too, I was really happy. Why? Well I'd be lying if I didn't say that one day I dream of being offered the chance to have my own beauty range, who wouldn't... Sadly, I'm just not in the same league.

I have been lucky enough to get my hands on some of the products from the #ZoellaBeauty range and I have to say they are amazing! From the packaging to the scent, I love them all, so what did I get?

#ZoellaBeauty

Firstly the Candle 'Lets Glow'. I am a candle obsessive, you know it, I know it and it's an obsession i can't cure (I would also love to create my own candle range too). The candle itself is quite petite and really quite cute, inside this tin, is a pure white looking candle which carries the same scent as the rest of the range which is somewhere between the fruity scent and a very slight hint of Vanilla. Described as "Delicately scented candle to create your own relaxing space. This cute and calming candle will help you free your mind with its gentle blend of white wood accents, sweet vanilla and soft floral notes".

Next comes the body mist called 'Blissful Mistful'. Now I'm not usually one for body mists I have to say, but for the scent alone it is lovely and in saying that, it doesn't half make your room smell lovely after a few spritzes, so perhaps it can be a bit multifunctional? Again packaged inside this cute little bottle the scent is the same as the cane, only slight stronger but a scent I actual like. Described as being "A super light and feminine body spritz to scent your body with fresh and floral notes. Enriched with Vitamin E and fruit extracts - bliss in a bottle!" It is everything the description states it is.

Following on from that is the bath soak and shower cream called 'Soak Opera' and it is a beautiful peach colour with a slightly pearlesque look to it.. "A delicately fragranced 'beauty in a bottle' bath soak to calm the senses with soothing floral notes. Enriched with Vitamin E, Aloe and Shea Butter extracts to soften and condition the skin" I am told. Found inside this chunky bottle, the cream is similar in texture to any you can buy from Soap and Glory and every bit as lovely and again for me it is the scent that is the winner here.

The final item to find its way into my collection is the 'Fizz Bar', what a funky name! What is it? Well in short it is described as being "A super bar of 8 fizzy cubes to make your bath time fizz! Drop 1-2 cubes into warm running water for a fragrantly fizzy bath and some much needed "wash your cares away" me-time. As you can see, the bar is a pure white and divided into 8 cubes with the letter Z clearly noticeable.

I take my hat off to Zoe, she has done an amazing job and has managed to create a list of products that I think everyone will love and is most definitely worthy of the hype. The scent is stunning, the packaging is stunning and there is more to the range than I have got here - a body wash and two make up bags also feature and again they make you squee because they are so cute.

How much is everything? Well entire range contains..

Creamy Madly Dreamy Body Lotion - £5
Soak Opera Bath Soak and Shower Cream - £5
Blissful Mistful Fragranced Body Mist - £8
Let's Glow Fragranced Candle - £5
Fizz Bar Fragranced Bath Fizzer - £5
Guinea Pig & Eyes Makeup Bag/ Pencil Case - £8

Have you managed to get your hands on any of this range? Are you wanting to buy it?

A Camera for the Iphone

When the beautiful Louise mentioned she had bought a Macro Lense for her iPhone I was intrigued, you can read her post HERE, but so impressed that I was straight on Amazon to order my own version.  After looking around I settled on the XCSource 180 Degree set which cost me just £6.79 - an absolute bargain!

I have mentioned a few times on my blog that the one thing that gets to me is my useless photos, mainly all taken with my iPhone because I always have it within my grasp and it is simple and easy to use.  So one of my aims was to improve my photography and this is just the start.

It features a detachable and portable clip which you attach to your phone and then place one of the three lenses in, a pouch to store all of your lenses and two lense covers.  The three lenses are as follows:
  • Fish Eye Lense  - has a magnification of up to 180 degrees
  • Wide Angle Lense
  • Macro Lense
The photograph below shows two photographs, the first is taken using the Macro and Wide Angle lense together and the one below is taken just using my iPhone with no lense and the difference to me is quite amazing.

Once the clip is attached to the phone, all you need to do is twist the lenses into place and then you can twist them too and fro to get the right angle and ensure there is no blurring and then snap away.  The clip, which you can see below, is similar to a bulldog clip and once it is on your phone, it stays in place and doesn't move about, unless you move it.

As you can see from the photos above, the lenses fit really nicely into the clip and are easy to add and remove, which again is a bonus.

I have been using these lenses for a good month or so now, getting used to them, trying out new things and I think I have almost mastered the art, some of the photos that have appeared on my blog over the past few weeks have contained images taken using the camera, not sure whether any of you noticed or not - now there is a quiz to be had!

If you are looking for something like this, then it is compatible with the iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 5C and the Samsung Galaxy S2, S3 and S4 to name a few of them.  Everything else they are compatible with is listed on Amazon.

Now obviously this is a quick fix solution and not as good as having a proper camera, but for a novice like me it has been a brilliant addition to my iPhone and something which gives me just that little bit more confidence when taking photos.

Have you got anything like this?

Beautyqueenuk appears on the Packaging for Inhibitif!

I don't know if any of you have yet bought or tried Inhibitif, but you'll all know that I am a huge fan, basically because it does as it says it is going to do which is this:

"Inhibitif is a breakthrough hair inhibitor for women and men that minimizes the need for shaving, waxing and other forms of hair removal in under 8 weeks, reducing the look of unwanted hair, unsightly stubbles and ingrown hair".

So guess what... I am starring on their packaging, my legs are shown with before and after pictures which I showed in this post - HERE

And here is the packaging:
