Antipodes Lime Caviar Collagen-Rich Firming Cream

One of my favourite products ever is the Antipodes is the Aura Manuka Honey Mask, which I have shared quite a few times. Today I am back with the latest launches from the brand Lime Caviar Collagen-Rich Firming Cream.
Antipodes Lime Caviar Collagen-Rich Firming Cream
Described as being an anti-ageing organic face moisturiser to firm and plump-up skin, this AHA moisturiser is certified organic and vegan, and is suitable for most skin types, especially dry and mature. I have combination-oily skin, but with that, I am prone to dry patches of skin too, usually on my cheeks and on my forehead, so over the years ive come to learn that hydration is key.
Antipodes Lime Caviar Collagen-Rich Firming Cream
This cream from Antipodes is wonderfully thick, luxuriously rich in fact but don't let that put you off. Designed to be used in the morning to freshly cleansed skin after you have applied your favourite serum, you need just a small amount because a little goes a very long way. Despite the thickness of this cream, it does absorb really quickly without being greasy or tacky and, if like me you are already a fan of the brand, you will know it is packed with amazing ingredients, in this case there is three that are worthy of a mention.

Key Ingredients

  • Peptide compound Sepilift™ DPHP - A high-tech peptide compound, derived from nature, that boosts collagen
  • Lime caviar extract - Rich in AHAs, to improve skin texture and foster a radiant skin tone
  • Avocado Oil - Lipid rich, it is packed with nutrients and fatty acids to nourish
Plus it also includes COSMOS-certified fragrance of floral lime which really comes noticeable as you masage the cream onto you skin and it is a scent I absolutely adore, immediately uplifting without being too over-powering, it leaves me skin looking radiant.

As the name suggests, this is a Collagen-rich firming cream which has been designed to target the three signs of ageing by
  • supporting skin’s collagen production,
  • smoothing wrinkle appearance, and
  • plumping skin for a healthy, youthful glow.
The first thing I noticed when trying it for the first time was how firming it was, and now after using this moisturiser for a few weeks, there’s been a difference in the elasticity of my skin, It feels tighter and smoother.

On my skin, I love how soft, hydrated and smooth my face feels after using this cream, despite the thick texture, there has been no irritation or break-outs but my skin does feel firmer after a few weeks of using it, so I can't wait to see the difference over the coming weeks and months as I continue on this journey.

Priced around £35, you can find the Antipodes Lime Caviar Collagen-Rich Firming Day Cream on most websites.  It is also certified vegan by the UK Vegetarian Society and it is also worth noting that Antipodes is committed to re-purposing, reusing and recycling, including using recyclable boxes made from 100% biodegradable cardboard, as well as glass bottles, aluminium tubes and printing with 100% eco ink from vegetables.

Herbae par L'OCCITANE Spartium Collection

The Almond Collection from L'Occitane will always be my favourite range, but I do love being introduced to new collections and the most recent has been the Herbae par L'OCCITANE Spartium Collection which is prefer for Summer.
The Herbae par L'OCCITANE Spartium Collection is made up of five products and what you get is a scent which is a mix of zesty, floral and herbaceous notes that are reminiscent of sunny days and it is just beautiful.

Starting with the Herbae par L’OCCITANE Spartium Eau de Toilette which is described as being an addictive, refreshing scent, it has top notes of rhubarb leaf accord, grapefruit essence and spices which give it that really punch when first spritzed, there is no doubting that Rhubarb is a dominant note but as the heart notes of holy grass absolute, genet absolute and jasmine absolute come to life, they settle the fragrance down and the floral notes grabbing hold of the fruity notes to create a refreshing scent to allow the base notes of ylang ylang essence, Sylkolide and blond woods to come into their own to add a slight muskiness which isn't overpowering.

Added to the fragrance section for the first time, L'Occitane has included the fragrance above but instead of being an EDT it is also available as a Perfume in Gel and it is perfect for carrying around in your bag because it is no bigger than a lip balm and it is the ideal format for touch-ups through the day.  It does keep that zesty, fresh floral fruity scent and is a great addition to the range.

There isn't a L'Occitane range without a good shower gel and the Herbae par L'OCCITANE Spartium Collection is no different.

Idea for all skin types, this Shower Gel also contains a natural extract of Spartium and it is a lightweight gel which works to gently cleanse the skin and as it does so, it leaves behind a delicate radiant and floral fragrance that combines zesty freshness with sunny floral notes and an herbaceous musky trail.

Once showered, then comes the Herbae par L'OCCITANE Spartium Body Lotion which has been designed to help moisturise your skin to leave it feeling beautifully soft and delicately scented.

Again, this Body Lotion is enriched with shea butter and a natural extract of Spartium and those same zesty fresh and sunny floral notes, which are delightful and if ever there was a good way to layer your products to really bring out that scent.

Then finally, the last product is one L'Occitane are most known for and it is their handcreams, and within this collection we have the Herbae Par L'Occitane Spartium Hand Cream.

With its moisturising formula which works to soften your hands you get that wonderfully freshy zesty scent alongside those floral notes which are just delightful though not as strong as the body lotion. Lightly textured and enriched with shea butter, this is a hand cream which is not greasy or tacky and just absorbs into the skin really quickly.

This is such a wonderfully scented collection from L'Occitane which really helps to lift the mood as those fresh scents envelop the skin and it is one to get your hands on before it disappears.

Paul Mitchell Clean Beauty Scalp Hair Care Collection

Hair Care and Scalp Care are two things I really make the effort with, especially since having Covid when I noticed my hair was falling out more than usual. If I am feeling under the weather, my scalp itches, it is one of the signs I am stressed, unwell and in some cases, used a product that just isn't right for me.
Paul Mitchell Clean Beauty Scalp
For the last few months, I switched from using my trusted Ginger Shampoo, to the Paul Mitchell Clean Beauty Scalp Range. This Clean Beauty Scalp range is made up of a 3-part system infused with gentle botanicals that are said to help calm and re-balance all scalp types, especially dry, oily or sensitive conditions, with instant relief while at the same time, strengthening and nourishing hair.

The first product within this trio is the Paul Mitchell Clean Beauty Scalp Therapy Shampoo and it is described as being a nutrient-rich, vegan shampoo formulated to clarify your hair and scalp.Paul Mitchell Clean Beauty Scalp
Formulated for dry, oily or sensitive scalps, the vegan formula work to remove both impurities and build-up, while at the same time nourishing with a blend of nutrient-rich ingredients.

I really like the lightweight formula of this shampoo, you need just a small amount to create a really good lather and it smells really fresh and clean too.  The formula is infused with grapevine sap and soothing chamomile extract to cleanse and clarify, while zinc helps to remove excess oil. Suitable for colour-treated hair, the shampoo leaves your hair and scalp feeling refreshed and replenished.

As with the shampoo, this is a nutrient-rich conditioner formulated to clarify and nourish your scalp and hair as it delivers a nutrient-rich blend to nourish your hair and scalp.

Again, this conditioner has a really lightweight formula which doesn't feel heavy when applied to the hair and, as with the shampoo, it is enriched with grapevine sap and soothing chamomile extract which work to gently clarify and condition, while at the same time, zinc, which helps to remove excess oil and visibly strengthen hair.

Then finally we have the Clean Beauty Scalp Therapy Drops and these are my favourite product from the three so far.

Using the pipette, the advice with these drops is to section your hair and then apply 3ml to a clean scalp and massage in circular motions to help evenly distribute, and this is a non-rinse out product too.

Using Scalp-soothing formulas which features nourishing grapevine sap to provide a balanced blend of minerals, amino acids and other essential nutrients to help improve the appearance of the scalp and hair, as well as antioxidant-rich chamomile extract which is packed with antioxidants and polyphenols to help soothe the scalp and nourish hair.  These drops also come with a really soft scent that has hints of citrus, delicate florals and a powdery finish, not too overpowering and hasn't irritated my scalp.

What I enjoy about the Scalp Drops is that they don't leave my hair looking greasy when applied, they're easy to use and actually soothe and calm an irritated scalp.

If you find your hair and scalp has become a little sensitive of late, then this is a great collection of products to try, especially the drops because you can just apply them when you need to or daily, which is the advice.
