Alpha-H Four Piece Heroes Collection

Alpha-H comes from humble beginnings, a story I have told many times.  From a family garage 25 years ago to becoming an award-winning global phenomenon with a product I am sure everyone will have tried, heard of or has on their wish list - Liquid Gold.  Available now in over 30 countries and available from a huge array of websites and stores, this Four Piece Heroes Collection is definitely one you need to have within your collection - whether you are an Alphaholic or have yet to try the brand!
Alpha-H Four Piece Heroes Collection
Partnering with QVC to offer a unique limited-edition collection for a special Today's Special Value (TSV) deal, you will find four of the brands most iconic and innovative formulas, one of which has been specially supersized to 200ml for this incredible deal and it is available right now!

The first product is actually one which you make the choice of when selecting and purchasing your TSV. You can either choose the  Balancing Cleanser or the Triple Action Cleanser.  So, I have the Triple Action Cleanser with Thyme and its job is to cleanse, tone and remove every single last trace of makeup from your skin, all without stripping it of that essential moisture - which of course it absolutely does.

The lightweight, gel-like formula, which I absolutely love, contains antibacterial thyme extract which helps to minimise excess oil and breakouts, it works alongside soothing aloe vera and cucumber which inject the skin with moisture while calming it down. The formula is free from foaming agents, detergents or sulphates and it works to restore the skin's natural pH balance without irritating!

The second product is that iconic Liquid Gold which has been supersized to 200ml for this deal. Liquid Gold is described as being a powerful night-time resurfacing treatment, which works to tighten and revitalise tired, ageing skin as well as helping to radically improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, open pores and acne-prone skin conditions.

Liquid Gold is packed full of amazing ingredients such as Liquorice which helps combat acne and hyper-pigmentation and of course Glycolic Acid, which is derived from sugar cane, to jump-start the skin's metabolism and refining its texture by dissolving the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, so they're sloughed away with your morning cleanse to reveal a more luminous, glowing complexion. This is one product I always turn too when my skin needs a jump start, when nothing I am using is helping my skin to look better, I bring this out and time and time again it hasn't let me down.

The third product within this Four Piece Collection is the Essential Hydration Cream. This cream has been one of my favourite creams for a long time.  Described as being the one to soothe, repair and revitalise lacklustre complexions, it is also suitable for even delicate skin types.  Like many people, I have been spending far more time than I would usually do in front of the computer screen with face to face meetings now being held online via Zoom, Teams or whatever other system it is that we decide to use, from doing this, I've noticed my skin has felt really dry, despite continuing with my skincare routine.

So the Essential Hydration Cream is not only lightweight in texture and non-greasy, it has a whole host of ingredients which my skin just needs.  This cream suspends sea minerals, fatty acids and youth-restoring peptides in the finest of essential oils and its key ingredients include the likes of Evening Primrose Oil and Linoleic Acid which nourish and improve the skin's elasticity, Rose Geranium Oil which helps to stimulate healing and balance sebum production and then antioxidant Vitamin E which hydrates and repairs cell damage from environmental aggressors.  Designed to be applied liberally every morning and evening after cleansing and for me, I love that it is it lightweight on the skin and it smells as heavenly as it feels when applied!

Finally, we have Hyaluronic 8, a serum which is said to act as a topical alternative to invasive dermal fillers and it includes eight multi-weighted hydrating ingredients including the next generation flash filling Hyaluronic Acid Primalhyal Ultrafiller™, which is just as impressive as it sounds.

The 'magic 8' instantaneously provide moisture to the surface of the skin while simultaneously penetrating deep into the lower layers of the dermis to build a sustainable moisture reservoir, giving us that much wanted hydrated and plump feeling to the skin. I wrote a full review of just how fabulous this serum is here and it is up there in my top 5 favourites from Alpha-H.

This collection can be found on QVC right here or you can use the QVC Item Number which is 245295 if you want the Triple Action Cleanser or item number 245295 for the Balancing Cleanser.  This collection is a brilliant introduction to Alpha-H for those who have yet to try a product and also a great way to top up on your favourite products if you are already a huge fan, the only issue is that they sell out incredibly quickly, so from July19th, grab them as quick as you can!

Kevin.Murphy Hydrate-Me. Masque

Having not seen the inside of a hair salon for a few days shy of 18 months now, my hair is the longest it has been for years and it very much needs a big trim because it is becoming slightly unmanageable and it is taking an absolute age to dry.  In the meantime, I am still doing my best to look after my locks and when my hair needs some TLC, I have been using some incredible hair masques from Kevin Murphy, including this one which is the Hydrate-Me Masque.
One of my absolute favourite products from the Kevin Murphy brand is the Scalp.Spa Scrub which I featured some time ago on my blog.  The brand takes its inspiration from skincare, designed to deliver performance, strength and longevity to your hair but weightlessly.  One thing I really don't like about some hair masks is how weighted they make your hair feel after use.

This masque is described as being an ultra moisturising and smoothing treatment mask which is formulated to re-hydrate and soften dry, frizzy and course hair types. As my hair hasn't neem treated in a salon for some time, it does feel quite dry, especially at the ends, so masques such as this one have been absolutely delightful to use.  It also comes packaged inside the most pretty of purple bottles which features a pump action dispenser and I've found that two pumps is more than enough for my mane.

It features an incredible fragrant blend of Rose Hip, Evening Primrose and Kakadu plum, a light yet fresh scent that isn't too strong and with those ingredients we also have the inclusion of seaweed Shea butter and Vitamin C too. The main purpose of this masque is to smooth and repair and to do that, the inclusion of both vitamin C and vitamin E., are a must. Vitamin C as we know is a very potent anti-oxidant and vitamin E works to provide moisture, what I love is that the vitamins within this mask have been included using what is referred to as being a new process of micro encapsulating. This process keeps each of the vitamins separate within the formula and only come into contact when you use the masque as the capsules explode on contact, to deliver that much needed hydration and moisture. The inclusion of Kakadu Plum is to smooth the surface of the hair to lock in that vital moisture, which in turns leaves the hair looking much smoother, hydrated and feeling less coarse to the touch. Then with the Seaweed, its role is help cleanse hair of excess oil whilst at the same time hydrating to bring out that natural shine.

As with most hair masques, this one is designed to be used after washing your hair. Whilst it is still wet, it is to be massaged into the lengths and ends before being left to work its magic for 5-10 minutes. For me, this is another ticked box with Kevin Murphy hair care because as amazing as the products are, they are not ones which need to take up too much of your time.

This masque is gluten free as well as being paraben, sulphate and also cruelty free. Available from Kevin Murphy and Cult Beauty* and it is priced at £30 for 200ml.
