Kevin.Murphy Hydrate-Me. Masque

Having not seen the inside of a hair salon for a few days shy of 18 months now, my hair is the longest it has been for years and it very much needs a big trim because it is becoming slightly unmanageable and it is taking an absolute age to dry.  In the meantime, I am still doing my best to look after my locks and when my hair needs some TLC, I have been using some incredible hair masques from Kevin Murphy, including this one which is the Hydrate-Me Masque.
One of my absolute favourite products from the Kevin Murphy brand is the Scalp.Spa Scrub which I featured some time ago on my blog.  The brand takes its inspiration from skincare, designed to deliver performance, strength and longevity to your hair but weightlessly.  One thing I really don't like about some hair masks is how weighted they make your hair feel after use.

This masque is described as being an ultra moisturising and smoothing treatment mask which is formulated to re-hydrate and soften dry, frizzy and course hair types. As my hair hasn't neem treated in a salon for some time, it does feel quite dry, especially at the ends, so masques such as this one have been absolutely delightful to use.  It also comes packaged inside the most pretty of purple bottles which features a pump action dispenser and I've found that two pumps is more than enough for my mane.

It features an incredible fragrant blend of Rose Hip, Evening Primrose and Kakadu plum, a light yet fresh scent that isn't too strong and with those ingredients we also have the inclusion of seaweed Shea butter and Vitamin C too. The main purpose of this masque is to smooth and repair and to do that, the inclusion of both vitamin C and vitamin E., are a must. Vitamin C as we know is a very potent anti-oxidant and vitamin E works to provide moisture, what I love is that the vitamins within this mask have been included using what is referred to as being a new process of micro encapsulating. This process keeps each of the vitamins separate within the formula and only come into contact when you use the masque as the capsules explode on contact, to deliver that much needed hydration and moisture. The inclusion of Kakadu Plum is to smooth the surface of the hair to lock in that vital moisture, which in turns leaves the hair looking much smoother, hydrated and feeling less coarse to the touch. Then with the Seaweed, its role is help cleanse hair of excess oil whilst at the same time hydrating to bring out that natural shine.

As with most hair masques, this one is designed to be used after washing your hair. Whilst it is still wet, it is to be massaged into the lengths and ends before being left to work its magic for 5-10 minutes. For me, this is another ticked box with Kevin Murphy hair care because as amazing as the products are, they are not ones which need to take up too much of your time.

This masque is gluten free as well as being paraben, sulphate and also cruelty free. Available from Kevin Murphy and Cult Beauty* and it is priced at £30 for 200ml.
