Roccabox - Lights, Camera, Relax - November Edition 2020

Roccabox have had some amazing boxes this year and its all the more special when you know just how much time and effort Tia, the fabulous lady behind the brand, puts into making it a success.  This year, Roccabox had their first Advent Calendar which is still on sale.  The November Beauty Box, is aptly named Lights, Camera, Relax and  it is described as being the box to rev you up and wind you down. Choosing products you get you looking flawless and ready to take on the world, but more importantly, unwind at the end of it.
Roccabox - Lights, Camera, Relax - November Edition 2020
This months box is made up of five products and they are a mixture of skincare and makeup and all from brands everyone has hopefully heard of.

The Herp Product of this months box comes from Nip+Fab with the Salicylic Fix Concentrate Extreme 2%. The blurb with this product tells us that during lockdown, sales of Salicylic Acid have doubled, not that it comes as too much of a surprise because if there is one ingredient that is going to work wonders for congested skin it is this.
Roccabox - Lights, Camera, Relax - November Edition 2020
The NIP+FAB Salicylic Acid Salicylic Fix Concentrate Extreme contains 2% Salicylic Acid which works to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, Niacinamide to improve the appearance of an uneven skin tone and Lotus Flower Extract which supports the control of oil production.

The second item out of the box is the SportFX Sport Stamina Mascara which as the name suggests is meant to give your lashes stamina!
Roccabox - Lights, Camera, Relax - November Edition 2020
Roccabox - Lights, Camera, Relax - November Edition 2020
The Mascara comes packaged in a bendy squeezable tube and the formula which contains mango butter, sweet almond oil and an added vitamin complex which help to nourish the lashes and give long-lasting volume and definition. On the lashes, the curved brush is designed to coat each lash and all without clumping, smudging and flaking.

The third item out of the box comes from Smashbox and it is the Photo Finish Foundation Primer, a product which is often described as being the real-life Instagram filter.
Roccabox - Lights, Camera, Relax - November Edition 2020
Described as being a transparent, oil-free gel that enhances makeup application and wear, it also works to blur visible pores, fine lines and any imperfections to give that much wanted picture-perfect canvas. This primer also helps to defend against pollutants, stress and environmental aggressors with an antioxidant blend of peptides and vitamins A and E.

From Kandi Cosmetics we have the Pre-Glow Up Mist, which is said to be an industry best-seller.
Roccabox - Lights, Camera, Relax - November Edition 2020
Designed to be spritzed onto your skin after moisturising but before foundation, this mist gives your skin a dewy glow.  With the rose gold tinted formula, on the skin it transforms into lots of little glowy particles which really give that lit-from-within glow and what I really like about this is that it doesn't dry sticky or tacky.

Finally within this box we have the Creamy Deluxe Shae Butter Body Wash from Soaper Duper, a brand you might have come across in your local Boots stores.
Roccabox - Lights, Camera, Relax - November Edition 2020
Switching off at the end of everyday, even if it has been working from home, is important, something I have definitely learnt and won't be taking for granted again.  Nothing is as amazing as that hot shower in an evening before bed to close the day off.  This Body Wash is essentially a hug in a bottle, it is creamy, it smells lovely and thankfully not too much of Vanilla, it is hydrating and best of all, it leaves my skin silky soft.

I really enjoyed this months Roccabox, I really like the theme and it is always nice to be reacquainted with products you have long since forgotten about as well as the opportunity to try something new.

Roccabox is a subscription service and there are further subscription offers available to choose from with boxes starting at just £10 per month plus P&P.

Beauty Advent Calendars STILL on sale

I have been asked quite a lot this week about Beauty Advent Calendars, which one is the best value for money, which one isn't so good, which one would I purchase and which ones are still available to buy.  I have got an entire post dedicated to all of those I have shared on my blog, here, but naturally some have been so fabulous that they sold out incredibly quickly, crashed websites and are never to be heard of again. So here is what is still on sale, where you can find them and of course how much they cost!
Beauty Advent Calendars STILL on sale
Jo Malone (£320) - This is an advent calendar which went out of stock and then came back into stock and is another calendar I am not expecting to hang around for too long.  It is filled with 24 treats, one of which includes a gift voucher for you to redeem against a fragrance of your choice!  Grab it whilst you can here*.

The Liberty Advent Calendar (£215) - This one made a shock return online in the past week and by the time this post goes live, I am fully expecting it to have sold out again, but at the time of writing, it was still on sale.  It is worth almost £800 and you can find it right here*.

Diptyque (£320) - If you are a fan of Diptyque Candles or candle in general, then this is just a fabulous purchase. Inside is a mixture of candles, perfume and body care.  It is still on sale here*, but is Limited Edition, so grab it quick.

Harrods (£250) - This is a Beauty Hall in an Advent Calendar and it is just amazing. Filled with products from brands such as Chantecallie, 111skin, Dr Barbara Sturm, Augustinus Bader and Natasha Denona, it is worth over £700 and is on sale right here,

Giorgio Armani (£249) - If you have ever wanted to know more about Giorgio Armani for makeup, skincare and of course fragrance, then this Advent Calendar is a great way to do that that.  It is on sale right here*.

Selfridges (£210) - This advent calendar is just like a Selfridges Beauty Hall wrapped up in a box with the golden yellow seal.  It features 25 products from the likes of Byredo, Ren, Huda, NARS and Charlotte Tilbury to name a few.  Stocks for this one are low, so grab it whilst you can right here*.

Molton Brown (£175) - Now this is a stunning Advent Calendar and one I have toyed with purchasing a few times as there are still some fragrances I am yet to try from the brand. This Calendar is a 24 door advent which showcases some of the best Molton Brown has to offer.  Grab this Advent Calendar right here*.

ByTerry (£150) - This is an absolute must-have Advent Calendar for a fan of the brand or someone who wants to get to know the brand. It features a whole host of makeup and skincare, including the much loved Baume de Rose Lip Care!  It is still on sale right here*.

John Lewis (£150) - When it comes to getting value for money, this John Lewis Advent Calendar certainly ticks boxes. Worth almost £380 it is a beautiful bright fuchsia pink colour with 25 drawers of beauty products.  You can find it on sale right here*.

Glossybox x Grazia (£125) - The first Glossybox Advent Calendar sold out really quickly, but this one, a collaboration with Grazia is absolutely brilliant value for money. Featuring 12 days of Christmas, it is worth over £530 and inside you can find brands such as REN, Tarte and Elemis.  Grab this calendar right here*.

Lancôme (£105) - If there was an award for a pretty Advent Calendar, Lancôme would be up there as one of the winners because this is just stunning.  It opens out to create a replica of the skyline of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower and inside it features a whole host of fragrances, skincare and makeup products.  You can find it right here*.

Beauty Expert (£100) - This Advent Calendar is an absolute bargain and one I showcased here on my blog just last week right here.  Worth almost £500, inside you can find brands such as Avant, Medik8 and Prai.  You can find it on sale right here*.

Essie (£99) - This is one for the nail polish fans out there.  Inside this fabulous 3D Advent Calendar you will find 24 nail products which includes polishes, oils, a base coat and a few surprises.  You can find the Essie Advent Calendar right here*.

Latest In Beauty (£70) - Described as being Award Winners, this Advent Calendar is more of a big beauty box but it is worth over £300 and is still on sale.  Inside you will find brands such as Aromatherapy Associates, Marc Jacobs, Ciate, Murad, Aurelia and MAC to name just a few. You can grab it right here* and if you use the code LIBAC10 it will give you an extra £10 off.

Benefit (£58.50) - I am a huge fan of Benefit for Hoola and their brow products, which have been my go-to for a very long time.  This calendar is made up of a whole host of Benefit Goodness, all mini sizes and therefore handbag handy!  On sale still right here*.

L'Occitane Classic Advent Calendar (£53) - For any fan of L'Occitane, there is a choice of three advent calendars still to choose from and it includes this Classic option. Inside it is filled with pretty much all my favourite products the brand has to offer.  You can grab this calendar right here*.

NYX Diamonds & Ice 24 Day Advent (£50) - Worth £89, this Advent Calendar features an incredible mixture of products including lipsticks, lip oils, eyeshadows and a lot more.  It is still on sale right here*.

Boots No7 (£45) - This Advent sold double quick and seeing it back in store, though again possibly for not very long, was quite a surprise.  An absolute bargain at this price because it is worth over £170 and it is filled with the very best that No7 has to offer as a brand.  Grab it here quickly*.

Soap & Glory (£33.60) - This Calendar is currently on offer but anyone who loves the brand would love this. Called 24 Days to Roam The Foam, it features 24 products and includes a mixture of body care, skincare and makeup.  Grab it whilst stock last here*.

Those are just some of the Advent Calendars that are still on sale, so plenty to be had before December 1st comes round and you find yourself wishing you had treated yourself to an Advent Calendar!

Scentschool in a box with Floral Street

Have you ever dreamed of being a perfume connoisseur - and let's face it, who hasn't - then I have just the event for you.  Launching today Floral Street have announced their scentschool™ in a box and it is quite a unique experience to be offered.
Scentschool in a box with Floral Street
FLORAL STREET Scentschool™ in a box, is described as being a modern fragrance concept created around a visual and interactive voyage of perfume discovery. Senses are immersed in colours, smells and relatable words which guide you to realising your favourite scents. I have done something very similar with Floral Street when they launched Electric Rhubarb and it is honestly the most fascinating experience when you are taught to think about the notes within each fragrance. So, this really is a one-of-a-kind experience which will be packed with insider information and educates in the art of fragrance and the provenance of ingredients from around the world.
We are so excited to now host a live complimentary experience that is entirely online, for you at home. At our scentschool™, everyone is welcome. Perfect for gifting or discovering your favourites.
What Scentschool™ aims to offer is an engaging 'at home' immersion with an opportunity to book a virtual experience with their expert Floralistas. Trained by renowned fragrance house, Robertet, a world leader in sustainable, natural raw materials, their knowledge amplifies their personal passion for fragrance. They will take you on a journey to discover vegan and cruelty free scents to match your every mood and reveal 'who will you be today'?

Inside the exclusively designed floral box, shown above, and you are met with a vibrant signature pink envelope that contains a collection of colourful scent cards featuring mood descriptive words. On the flip side, a rub across each of the 3 hero ingredient images releases individual scents that build to reveal a tease of our award-winning fragrances. Tucked underneath is the amazing Discovery Set, much like the one I shared here, plus some blotters ready for you to spritz and sniff the cult scents in their entirety. Each one of these fragrances has been created by one of the best 'noses' in the world, Jérôme Epinette, who has masterly emphasised the beauty of flowers within contemporary, high quality fragrances.

So how does the experience work?

There is a choice of four boxes each with a unique code that enables you to book your Scentschool™ experience online. Three of these also include a voucher that can be redeemed against your favourite 10ml, 50ml or 100ml eau de parfum. The Scentschool™ in a box launched today on floralstreet.com and the Scentschool™ in a box is priced at £24.00 but if you add in a voucher to redeem against your favourite fragrance the prices are as follows
  • + 10ml fragrance voucher £38.00
  • + with 50ml fragrance voucher £74.00
  • + with 100ml fragrance voucher £98.00
So, if you are fascinated by fragrances or know someone who is and you are yet to decide what to buy them for Christmas or other festivities, this is quite the gift, especially when given the chance to purchase their favourite fragrance. Once you have chosen your box, all you have to do is wait for it to arrived and inside will be your code to book a live scentschool™ experience on eventbrite and then you are all set.
