Disciple Downtime Overnight Mask

An overnight facemask is always going to be the product at the top of my list when my skin is in need of some TLC and when one is described as being a sleep mask designed to work hard to revitalise and hydrate skin — all while you catch up on those much-needed 'zzzs', is the one I am wanting. Enter the Disciple Downtime Overnight Mask.

Disciple Downtime Overnight Mask
Having already shared my love for the Disciple Clean & Serene and the Skincare Discovery Kit, I had high hopes that this mask would be just as amazing.
Ever wish you could get more out of those precious hours you spend snoozing at night? What if we told you there was a gentle-yet-effective mask that could leave you waking up smooth, glowy and plump skin? Enter: DISCIPLE Skincare's Overnight Retinyl & Hyaluronic Mask.
This mask is housed in a glass jar and is designed to be applied as the very last step in to your night time routine. So for me this is a double cleanse and then depending on whether my skin needs it, an oil, eye cream and always a lip balm, but if I am using this mask, I tend to keep my products to the absolute minimum to let it work its magic. You should only use this mask 1-2 times a week and having it layered on into a thick layer, simply leave it to do its thing whilst you sleep.
Disciple Downtime Overnight Mask
There is a reason that this Downtime Over Night Mask is so delightful and that is partly the lovely thick but it absorbs really quickly rather than sitting on your skin, then there is also those magic ingredients:
  • Retinyl - which helps to soothe away signs of stress and smooths fine lines as well as to help stimulate collagen production;
  • Hyaluronic acid - We all know this helps to absorb moisture and hold it within the skin, for a plumped up, hydrated complexion;
  • Cucumber, green tea and chamomile which work to soothe any potential irritation and help re-balance.
What I have found with this mask is that when my skin is really dry, something that now flares up during my menstrual cycle, I find that using this mask calms my skin down. Where the dryness appears across my forehead and around my nose, it is often red with my nose looking as though I have had a bad cold. Using this mask helps to dull that redness and leave my skin feeling nourished and moisturised and it is perfect for just giving your skin some TLC.

Priced around £21, the Disciple Downtime Overnight Mask is a great addition to any even routine.

Grazia Parfum Eau de Toilette Review

Grazia Parfum is the brands first entry into the world of fragrance, a section of the beauty world which is saturated with everything from the most expensive, the iconic, the dupe and of course new releases.
Grazia Parfum Eau de Toilette Review
I am picky with fragrances and never ever purchase from a quick sniff of something on a card in a store, be it a stand alone or department. I like to get a feel for that fragrance in familiar surroundings, the current downside for me is that Covid has pretty much killed off my sense of smell, so I more often than not have to rely on others to confirm a scent.
"Grazia means grace in Italian, so I tried to create something that was joyful, happy and feminine. The perefume itself is filled with flowers but very light breezy flowers and we have created something very fresh - which you'll want to keep spraying again and again. It makes you smile, it's joy and it's Grazia"
As described by  Karine Dubreuil-Sereni, chief perfume Takasago.  Karine is responsible for having created over one hundred perfumes including the likes of Guzzi, Mugler and Guerlain.

So Grazia is described as being a new Sartorial Fragrance, Grazia Parfum is said to be a warm floral with sparkling citrus notes. A soft floral which gives the fragrance that subtle twist to what is referred to as being 'Classic feminine florals'. So the notes are fresh and floral and you will find the following:
  • Top Notes - Grapefruit, Lemon and Blackcurrant
  • Heart Notes - Peony, Peach and Reseda
  • Base Notes - Sandalwood, White Musk and White Cedarwood
So as you can imagine, it opens with a burst of citrus with the lemon and grapefruit taking centre stage as the blackcurrant, which is much sweeter prevents that first whiff from being too tart, then as it settles in comes Peony which strong but again, for me the inclusion of Reseda, known for its green floral notes and then peach for its fruitiness helps to calm before the base notes add a slight heaviness without allowing the White Musk to take over.  Bringing everything together, you have that more sophisticated Fruity Floral which anyone could wear at any time of day, month or year.

However, you can't swoon over a fragrance without mentioning a bottle as pretty as this one. Decorated with sartorial sketches by Milenese designer Daniela Gerini, it denotes a collection of perfume bottles which, when they capture the sun, make them look as though they sit inside the bottle. To finish off the design of that bottle we have a classic, faceted diamond cap.

The Grazia Parfum is cruelty-free, Eco-friendly and 100ml will cost you £48 here.
