It’s February already and this title of this Months Lookfantastic Beauty Box, which was kindly gifted to me, is the Treasure edition. I mentioned last month, that much of the boxes from Lookfantastic will be around the theme of “self-love” and this edit is a continuation of that theme. The primary focus, as you might have guessed from the products is to learn to love yourself and it’s a lesson in itself and one we should all heed. With that in mind, inside the box are six products!
First out of the box from Eyeko is a Galactic Lid Gloss. Other than mascara and eyeliner, Eyeko is a brand I know nothing else about, so this intrigued me.
Described as being a liquid eyeshadow, there is two different shade options in the box, so you will either get Stardust which is a shimmering silver or the shade I have which is Zodiac, a warm rosy copper. Ideal to apply with your finger or a brush, it is as the shade describes and I can’t wait to use for something other than a Zoom meeting!
The second product comes from Illamasqua with the much loved Beyond Veil and it is packaged in the cutest little pot.
Beyond Veil is a coming together of two of the brands hero products - Beyond Powder and Hydra Veil Primer, the latter I am more familiar with. Described as being the hydrating and illuminating all in one face primer, this is ideal for use under makeup and it gives a natural glow.
A brand I am always happy to see is Balance Me and within the box we have the AHA Glow Mask and I am excited to give it a try.
This mask is described as being one which offers triple-action chemical exfoliation. It is packed with a bio-active blend of fruit acids so you can expect to see the inclusion of glycolic, lactic and malic acids as well as a blend of Kaolin Clay. Together these ingredient works to draw out impurities as well as TK brighten, deeply purify, plump, and reveal a natural, more youthful, luminous glow all in less than 15 minutes.
The fourth product comes from Magnitone with their Wipeout microfibre cleansing Swipes of which there is two within the box.
These swipes, which look similar to a cotton wool pad, only thicker and a whole lot softer. The Joy of these Swipe pads is that you don’t need to use a product to remove your makeup, just warm water in fact. Not only are these Swipes gentle enough for the most sensitive skin, they can be reused up to 1000 times and they are machine washable too!
From bubbleT which is the fifth item out of the box, is the Strawberry Macaron Handy and Body Butter.
I have gone through tube after tube of hand cream in the last 12 months and I am always glad to see something new to try. Described as being a thick, hydrating moisturiser, this cream has a very sickly sweet scent of strawberries though there is something more to it, almost a burnt sugar scent.
Finally out of the box is a product from Elemis with their Papaya Enzyme Peel, there is another option from Madara with the SOS Hydration cream.
Utilising the natural exfoliating fruit enzyme action of both Papaya and Pineapple to smooth, brighten and clarify your complexion. This exfoliating cream has 7 active ingredients which work to repair and protect your skin. Said to be perfect for sensitive or mature complexions, this really smooth cream peel gently exfoliates the skin without being abrasive and because there is a further inclusion of seaweed actives and vitamin E, not only is your skin left feeling smooth, and moisturised, it is done so without irritation.
This is quite the mixed box this month. Plenty of skincare to ensure you look your best for FaceTime or Zoom meetings and plenty of opportunity and excuses to take that much deserved time out to relax, unwind and partake in some self-care!
