Kevin Murphy Scalp.Spa Regimen

Scalp care isn't something I tend to see people talking about, it rarely gets a mention on my social feeds and I can count on one hand the number of blogs I've read who mention it.  For me, it is as important as skincare, at some times, more so.  For years I was just told having greasy roots and dry ends was just part of my genetic make up, that my dry scalp is caused by a build up of products - both of which are true, but it is also I something I can take care of and work on.
Kevin Murphy Scalp Spa
I do suffer with a dry scalp, partly because I do have greasy roots but it usually flares up when I am stressed and lockdown hasn't been the easiest of times for anyone has it! The tell tale signs are when I start to itch just behind my ear.  So the lovely people over at Kevin Murphy have come up with the Scalp.Spa Regimen which features two products - Scalp.Spa Scrub and the Scalp.Spa Wash.
"A clean and healthy scalp is important to ensuring the health and growth of your future hair. These products are packed with a range of skin loving ingredients that nurture the scalp back to health, thus giving your hair the radiant results it deserves"

About the Kevin Murphy SCALP.SPA range

Usually Kevin Murphy WASHES are enough on their own to maintain a healthy scalp. However over the years people have developed irritations and irritants on their scalp, such as product build up, excess oil, and sensitivity, which can be caused by a range of factors, including environmental aggressors, like humidity. Kevin Murphy developed the SCALP.SPA range to tackle these issues, to help maintain a healthy scalp, so that your hair, and future hair is healthy, nourished and protected. Packed with a range of skin loving ingredients, the SCALP.SPA products promote overall hair health, from scalp, to root, to the tips!

The Products

The first part of this regimen starts with the Scalp.Spa Scrub (£30 here). Massaging the scrub into damp hair, this scrub, which is ideal for all hair types, gently exfoliates the scalp. Infused with micellar water, which gently attracts and dissolves impurities such as excess oil, then we have celery seed extract, because it is known to detox the scalp, reduce irritation and regulate sebum production. As this is an exfoliation scrub, it uses Perlite, which is a small spherical shaped derivative from volcanic rock which not only gently exfoliates, but does so without scratching the scalp.

What I have loved about using this scrub is how my scalp feels after using it, that clean feeling, the not itching and not leaving my scalp feeling dry or stripped.

Having used the Scalp.Scrub, the second product is the Scalp.Spa Wash (£24 here). As with the scrub, it is also infused with micellar water and celery seed extract, but within the Wash is also rose water which is a calming conditioning property to soothe and protect the scalp. You will also find coconut oil which adds a moisture boost and protects the hair and scalp from dryness.
Kevin Murphy Scalp.Spa Regimen
I absolutely love this scalp shampoo, not only does it cleanse the hair without stripping it, leaving it feeling like straw, instead, I have soft, smooth hair which feels as though i've used a hair mask and left it on for a few days. Texture wise, as the formula is quite thick, you only need a real small amount to create a lather and despite not really having a scent, the only way I can describe it, is clean.

I have been lucky enough to try a lot of Kevin Murphy products during 2020 and without question the Scalp.Spa range has become my favourite and the one I have used a lot of since it arrived. Despite being quite the duo, the Scalp.Spa Wash works just as well on its own as part of my hair care routine as it does as part of a duo to look after my scalp.

Alpha-H Rose Gold Hydrate & Glow Collection - A QVC TSV

We all need a little Alpha-H magic in our lives and there is no better way to start 2021, when you have got Tommy on your screen presenting the newest Alpha-H QVC TSV! It goes live from 7th-10th January and it is amazing! Find it here for just £42.92 which is a saving of almost £70!
Alpha-H Rose Gold Hydrate & Glow Collection - A QVC TSV
Entering their 21st year, Alpha-H have decided to celebrate the birthday of the much loved and iconic Australian products, Alpha-H has partnered with QVC UK to offer a unique limited-edition collection which features three amazing products. I am, as you might have guessed, a huge fan of Alpha-H and have featured them more times than I can count and this collection is an absolute must for anyone who has been wanting to try the brand for some time or of course for those Alphaholics!

The first product is the Liquid Gold Rose - No collection from Alpha-H would be complete without this product. I have been using this product for years, it is literally the best antidote to use when your skin just feels absolutely horrendous! Originally launched back in 2017, this Limited-Edition Liquid Gold Rose has been supersized to a 200ml bottle!
Alpha-H Rose Gold Hydrate & Glow Collection - A QVC TSV
If you have never tried or come across Liquid Gold before, not only is it where the Alpha-H story began, but it is THE product everyone that I know of, has come across. It is described as being a powerful nighttime resurfacing treatment, and it works to tighten and revitalise tired, ageing skin as well as helping to radically improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, open pores and acne-prone skin conditions. Formulated with some amazing ingredients, you will find the likes of Liquorice which helps combat acne and hyperpigmentation and Glycolic Acid (derived from sugar cane) which works to jump-start the skin's metabolism - refining its texture by dissolving the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, so they're sloughed away. You will also find Rose, Lotus Petal, Orchid and Hyaluronic Acid.

Next we have the Perfect And Plump, a subtly tinted balm which uses natural fruit enzymes, to increases cellular renewal which in turn helps rejuvenate and minimise the appearance of fine lines. It also features a new generation plumping ingredient called Plump Oleoactif which provides both immediate and long-term increase to lip volume, whilst a natural peptide stimulates collagen production and Hyaluronic Acid delivers hydration deep into the dermis.
Alpha-H Rose Gold Hydrate & Glow Collection - A QVC TSV
I am really picky with balms for the lips, I really am not a fan of that Vaseline texture, the one which leaves your lips feeling as though you have rubbed them across a block of lard, this one is neither greasy or tacky on the lips, it glides on smoothly and it does produce a slight tingle, as you get when you use a product with Peppermint as an ingredient for your lips. I like how my lips feel when this has been applied.

Finally to complete this collection we have the Essential Hydration Cream. This has been one of my favourite creams of late and it is described as being one which soothes, repairs and revitalises lacklustre complexions and it is suitable for even delicate skin types.  Having spent a lot of time in front of the computer screen, more than I would usually do if I was in the office, with face to face meetings now being online Zoom, Teams or whatever other system it is that we use, I've noticed my skin has felt really dry, despite continuing with my skincare routine.
Alpha-H Rose Gold Hydrate & Glow Collection - A QVC TSV
Lightweight in texture, this cream suspends sea minerals, fatty acids and youth-restoring peptides in the finest essential oils and its key ingredients include things like Evening Primrose Oil and Linoleic Acid which nourish and improve the skin's elasticity, Rose Geranium Oil which helps to stimulate healing and balance sebum production and then antioxidant Vitamin E which hydrates and repairs cell damage from environmental aggressors.  Designed to be applied liberally every morning and evening after cleansing and for me, I love that it is it lightweight on the skin and it smells as heavenly as it feels when applied!

This collection can be found on QVC right here or you can use the QVC Item Number which is 243280 and without question, these collections are always a bargain and well worth getting if you are a fan wanting to stock up, or wanting to try these iconic products.

Roccabox Go Girl Edition

It’s 2021 and Roccabox have decided that the theme “Go Girl” is perfect for taking you into a New Year being the very best version of yourself. I think we can all agree that 2020 was not a year any of us ever envisaged and it was especially hard, more so than anyone could or would have anticipated.
Roccabox Go Girl Edition
Featuring five products, of which four of them are full size, this edit is packed full of brands and their offerings which will invigorate your body, repair your skin, elevate your routine and nourish your soul.

The Hero Product in this box comes from Doctors Formula with the Probiotic Overnight Repairing Serum (£89). Described as being a hydrating formula that works alongside the skin’s natural night-time processes.
Roccabox Go Girl Edition
With Probiotics and Cactus extract providing gentle exfoliation which removes impurities and dead skin cells which in turn smooth and brighten skin. It also works to deliver intense hydration too and the treatment reveals a renewed, revitalised and glowing complexion.

The second product comes from Shea Bliss, a brand which I’ve never come across until now. The product is the Cherry Bomb Body Butter.
Roccabox Go Girl Edition
This body butter is hand made using 100% unrefined Shea Butter and with additional Essential oil and Vitamin E which work to give your skin that moisturised feeling all day long. This Body Butter smells exactly as you expect it too, if you are familiar with Bassetts Cherry Drop sweets - that is the scent.

The third product comes from Mudmasky with the Hair Mask, Scalp Treatment and Miracle Shampoo, a product I’ve used many times and really like.
Roccabox Go Girl Edition
This 3-in-1 products is formulated with Moroccan argan oil, Moroccan mud and flowers which come together to repair, hydrate and strengthen your hair in three ways - Firstly it moisturises the skin on your scalp, helping to control dandruff and relieve any itchiness. It also repairs and strengthens your hair, mending any already-existing damage and shielding your tresses from future harm and finally, it also cleans your hair, washing away excess oils, dirt and impurities.

The fourth product from this box is the Skimono Total Conditioning + Foot Mask and it is quite the product.
Roccabox Go Girl Edition
Described as being an intensive treatment specifically designed for the feet, this sock-like foot mask is made from naturally-derived bio-cellulose, with a three-dimensional matrix structure that has been saturated in a unique serum to maximise absorption capacity. Having now used my foot mask, it is really hydrating on the skin and it uses Shea Butter and Olive Oil which together, not only moisturise but also help to soften hard skin and smooth away cracks. There is also the inclusion of both Tea Tree and Chamomile which are said to deliver an anti-bacterial action with an instant cooling sensation to refresh and revive aching soles.

The final item comes from Oh K! With the SOS Soothing Face Lotion. Described as being the ideal companion for skin that’s uneven or prone to blemishes, the Oh K! SOS Soothing Facial Balm works to keep your complexion looking smoother for longer.
Roccabox Go Girl Edition
With its silky, light texture, the cream glides over skin, repairing your moisture barrier for long-lasting hydration that never feels greasy. Zinc, White Tea and Tea Tree tone down shine and soothe skin for all-over comfort and a flawless look.

I have once again, really enjoyed this months Roccabox, I really like the theme and it is always nice to try some new products that you are not at all familiar with, in this case, everything within the box.

Roccabox is a subscription service and there are further subscription offers available to choose from with boxes starting at just £10 per month plus P&P.
