Roccabox 'Selfie Ready' Box

This month Roccabox is themed 'Selfie Ready' and it contains everything you need to up your selfie game with a mixture of skincare, haircare and makeup.
Roccabox 'Selfie Ready' Box
Inside the box, the team over at Roccabox HQ have picked products to cover all bases for upping that selfie game, all you need to do is pucker up and flutter those eyelashes!

Every month, Roccabox has a 'Hero Product' and this month, that product is from Eyeko with Black Magic Liquid Liner.
Roccabox 'Selfie Ready' Box
Said to have been inspired by traditional Japanese calligraphy, this eyeliner makes winged liner effortless (even I can manage it). The brush is really smooth and because the nib is so pointed, it glides like a dream.

The second product within the box comes from Avant, another brand I am coming to know through beauty boxes. This product is the Supreme Hyaluronic Acid Anti-oxidising Duo Moisturiser!
Roccabox 'Selfie Ready' Box
This cream is described as being formulated with the Signature Hyaluronique Acid aimed at restoring your skin's natural glow during the day and night as well as Avocado Oil which aims to intensely hydrate and soften your skin whilst helping retain moisture.

You can never have too many sheet masks as far as I am concerned and from BeautyPro comes the Rejuvenating Collagen Sheet Mask.
Roccabox 'Selfie Ready' Box
Using marine collagen, combined with key vitamins, herbs and botanicals, this sheet mask works to improve skin tone and complexion. It is also infused with Green Tea which is not only a powerful anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial ingredient that targets problematic skin, it also helps to balance and improve oily and dry conditions while reducing redness.

Next we have a hair care duo from Charles Worthington with the Diamon Shine Shampoo and Conditioner.
Roccabox 'Selfie Ready' Box
Described as being the duo to instantly revitalise dull looking hair to leave it with a selfie-worthy shine, they are also infused with a FragranceLock Technology which ensures your hair smells fresh all day long.

The final product in the box comes from Mayy with the Velvet Hydro Matte Lipstick. A brand I haven't really heard very much from, but this is the reason I love a Beauty Box.
Roccabox 'Selfie Ready' Box
I have the shade Tulip which is very much a nude-beige and it glides onto the lips really smoothly. Incredibly hydrating, the formula is infused with Vitamin E and even though it is a matte lipstick, it isn't drying on the lips.

The June Selfie Ready edition of Roccabox is another great box especially if you are looking to try some well-known brands and products you might not have tried or even come across. If you like the look of this box and want to give them a try, It is priced at just £10 per month if bought separately, Roccabox is a subscription service and there are further subscription offers available to choose from. However, before you run off, I have a discount code for you to use the code 'BEAUTY20' to grab yourself 20% off a monthly subscription plan. I'm From Rice Toner

If you read my blog regularly or even occasionally, it won't have escaped your notice that I am a bit of a K-beauty fan and have all the products and brands I have used on their own separate page to make them easier to find.  Today I am sharing another K-beauty product and it is one that caught my attention as soon as I saw it on my Instagram feed - I'm From Rice Toner.
I'm From Rice Toner
Designed to be used after cleansing, this toner is suitable for all skin types and is made using organic rice grown which is free from pesticides.  Its job is to moisturise and brighten the skin whilst at the same time gently removing impurities and excess sebum and what it does is to help rebalance and rejuvenate dry, dull and irritated skin.

I’m From products are inspired by the purest natural ingredients and they are all sources using only the highest quality ingredients which are exclusively from South Korea and this Rice Toner is one of the brands most popular products. Within this Rice Toner, there are two which stand out -

KEY INGREDIENTS

  • Organic rice to create radiant and moisturised skin
  • Gamma Oryzanol to brighten a dull complexion
Within this toner, there are also other notable ingredients to mention is Niacinamide which not only helps to regulate sebum production but also helps reduce redness and hyperpigmentation and as an ingredient, my skin absolutely loves it. Then we have Adenosine which has soothing properties. Amaranth seed extract is an emollient and therefore within this toner it helps with moisturising.
I'm From Rice Toner
As a bi-phase product, you need to give this toner a good shake before using to mix those ingredients together and this then forms a milky liquid. Designed to be used after cleaning, you need to soak a cotton wool pad with a few drops and then sweep over the face gently.  It quickly absorbs and what I like about the feel of this toner on my skin is how soothing it is without being greasy and it doesn't leave a residue on the skin either. If your skin is feeling really dehydrated, as mine has done of late, then you can add this toner using your hands and gently pat it onto the skin, the difference being is you do use slightly more product that doesn't get soaked up in your cotton wool pads.

After using, my skin always feels soothed and smooth, there is no irritation or stinging. It is a product which lasts and lasts, I have been using it for around 3 months and am not even halfway through the bottle, so definitely worth its money.  I purchased my Rice Toner from Tonic15 which is my go-to for K-Beauty brands and it was priced at £26.

Why use wax melts in your home

Using wax melts is a fun way of fragrance your home, a great way of avoiding the use of household chemicals. Wax melt is made from the same material as a candle.
Why use wax melts in your home
The method of using both is very different from each other. A scented candle is required to be burnt to release its aromas while a wax melt is heated. Most scented candles contain paraffin which can be harmful to your health. It can also cause discoloration to your walls and curtains. Using soy wax melts contains no paraffin and you will get cleaner fresher aromas.

Soy wax melts
Soy wax melts are made from soy-bean oils, they are fragrance with essential oils. Soy wax melts have a lower melting point than normal wax, be sure to store it in a cool dry place to preserve its fragrance and prevent it from melting. People that often react to paraffin within normal wax melts, using soy wax melts are a great alternative.

How to use wax melts
Wax melts are required to be heated, this can be achieved with an electric wax melt burner or an oil burner. Using an oil burner requires a tea light, the heat fro the tea light will melt the wax. Some people might be restricted using this method in the presence of children. An electric wax melt burner requires no open flame to melt the wax. A heated plate is heated, and you can melt your wax by a switch of a button.
Why use wax melts in your home
Once there are no more aromas coming from the melted wax you will need to dispose of the old wax and replace it with a new one. Or you can simply add essential oils to your old wax melts.

Be creative with wax melts
There are hundreds of different scented wax melts to choose from, you can mix different aromas to your choice to create your own unique aroma. It is also very easy to create your own. You melt some old candles until liquid in a pan, and add you're essential oils. Place the liquid wax melts into a muffin tray, wait 24 hours for the wax melts to cool down.

Which wax melts to choose from
Some cheap wax melts are scented with chemicals, be sure to go for the essential oils used as a fragrance. For the best quality aromas go for soy wax melts.

If you are looking to fragrance your home with natural aromas be sure to check The natural gift for their great products.
