L’Occitane Classic Beauty Advent Calendar 2019 Contents Reveal!

L'Occitane is one of my favourite brands, so much so I go through refill pouches of the Almond Shower Oil and I always look forward to the Christmas offerings. When it comes to Advent Calendars, L'Occitane once again has two offerings depending on your budget and today I am sharing the Classic Beauty Advent Calendar which retails at just £49.

L’Occitane Classic Beauty Advent Calendar 2019 Contents Reveal!
For the past few years, I have been lucky enough to feature the L’Occitane advent calendar here on my blog (here is the 2018 version) and they are such a brilliant way to stock up on your favourites, discover new products and never worry about having to buy products for your travel case again.  Whenever I go away for a few days, L'Occitane is very much the brand that features most heavily within my stash.
L’OCCITANE’s much-loved Classic Beauty Advent Calendar is back for 2019. This Christmas, our Classic Beauty Advent Calendar takes the form of a book, telling one of our true stories about the almond tree. Did you know? In the 1950’s, almond trees completely disappeared from the Provence landscape.

The Classic Beauty Advent Calendar from L'Occitane has contents worth £79 and it really does give you the chance to try what L'Occitane has to offer. Again the cute design opens out like a book and it features 24 doors to open.

Positive Reasons For Listening To Music While Working Out

We all know that getting regular exercise is good for us. However, many of us lack motivation and don’t enjoy it. The key is to not only find something that you know you’re going to enjoy but also find ways of making it less of a chore, that way you are more likely to stick at it and be well on your way to a healthy lifestyle. One of the ways you can do this is to include music into your work out routine.

Listening to music while exercising not only helps to distract us from the effort we are putting in it also helps to keep us focused, putting the right amount of effort and motivates us to push harder so ultimately getting better results, get healthier and stick to it for longer.

Below are some of the positive reasons you should be listening to music while working out:

Helps To Set A Pace
Setting a pace and sticking to it can be difficult when you’re exercising. Whether you’re just beginning or a person who exercises regularly it still important to remember to not only set a pace that is realistic but also going to achieve the goals that you're aiming for. Using music as your main tool for keeping and setting your pace is a positive way to keep you driven and focused and not be worrying about falling behind or and not keeping to the pace that you need to. Whether you're training for a marathon or are exercising to get fitter, often your pace is the factor that gets you where you need to be. It’s a good idea to learn how to use iCloud music library and get set up with all your favorite music.

Helps To Lift Your Mood
Sometimes, though no fault of our own, we get disheartened and stop finding exercise enjoyable. It can be really difficult to lift your mood when it comes to doing something that we think we’re not going to enjoy. Music is a brilliant way of lifting your mood when you’re completing your routine. You could even listen to music on the way to the gym or whilst you’re getting changed, that way you may find that your mood has lifted before you even start.

Helps To Distract You
Listening to music while you workout is a proven way to distract you. It’s not meant to distract you from what you are doing but more work as a distraction to the level of exertion that you’re feeling. Often people who listen to music when they exercise are able to exercise for longer and put more effort in naturally. This is because they’re working to the beat and rhythm of the music and concentrate on this rather than how tired they may be feeling. It’s important to not overdo it though, make sure you get a good mix. It’s not meant to distract you to the point overexertion.

Hopefully, these three reasons for using music positively with exercise will help you with your next workout, do you have any other ways of helping your exercise routine? Please share them in the comments section below.

Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C Review and Swatches

When it comes to taking extra vitamin tablets to support my immune system, I suck, I remember to take something for about 10 days maximum and then it is as though those tablets never even existed, even medication if I am honest. So when it comes to ensuring my skin gets enough Vitamin C, I am thankful that we have brands such as Omorovicza who create amazing products that oddly, I don't forget to use such as the Queen of Hungary Mist which I absolutely adore.! The latest addition to the brand's arsenal of products is the Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C (£87) and it provides essential daily protection against environmental aggressors while stimulating the production of collagen.
Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C
Vitamin C has been an ingredient that I have seen promoted all over my social media channels for most of the latter part of 2018 and into 2019.  Gone are the days when we all used to over-do it to ward off a cold, now it is up there with the likes of retinol, ceramides, and resveratrol when it comes to anti-ageing, but it doesn't stop there.  If your skin is looking a little fatigued and dull, vitamin C plays a role that will help recover your skin's long-lost radiance

I adore Omorovicza as a brand and only a few days ago featured their brand new scalp mask, which is an absolute treat to use.  The Vitamin C product is best described as being a milky serum and I really like how it feels on the skin.  Described by Omorovicza to:
Brighten and protect with a daily dose of vitamin C. Capturing the power of a highly stable and potent form of this antioxidant-rich vitamin, this milky serum provides essential daily protection against environmental aggressors, whilst stimulating the production of collagen for a more youthful-looking complexion. Dull, lifeless skin is revived, and skin appears even and luminous.
So what it does is give you a daily dose of the antioxidant-rich Vitamin in two forms - Kiwiberry and Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate and they work alongside a whole host of other ingredients which come together to protect and revive the skin, those ingredients being:
  • Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, a highly stable form of Vitamin C, dramatically fights signs of ageing and prevents the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating the production of collagen and protecting against environmental damage. It also helps promote an even skin tone and reduces the appearance of dark spots.
  • An innovative complex of Watercress Extract, Zinc and Niacinamide work to inhibit the production of melanin, reducing pigmentation and correcting skin tone for a brighter, more even complexion.
  • Antioxidant-rich Kiwberry, a naturally potent source of Vitamin C, further protects skin cells from oxidative stress and skin photo-ageing. By stimulating cells’ natural energy, this extract also helps prolong the healthy life of skin and protect its DNA.
  • Hyaluronic Acid delivers moisture and increases moisture retention for skin that is left feeling soft to touch.
  • Omorovicza’s patented Healing Concentrate™ leaves skin firmer, more supple and younger-looking.
The serum should be used on a cleansed and toned face and you really only need a small amount to really make an impact, the old adage less is more is a perfect description. I love that it comes with a dropper system to make that application a much easier and less messy process.

As you can see, the serum has a milky look to it having used a few Vitamin C products over the past year, I was expecting to find this one to have a sticky after-feel to it, but it doesn't at all, it acts like any other serum I have used in so much that it absorbs into the skin without leaving any residue but it does so really quickly and effortlessly.  You literally need 2-3 drops for your face, neck and if you so wish your decolletage.   There is a really light fresh scent with this serum which I actually really like, it isn't too overpowering and it doesn't linger on the skin.

I think this is a product you need to be using long term to reap all the benefits, it definitely isn't and nor does it promise to be a quick fix. It definitely helps with retaining moisture and brightening and I am looking forward to seeing what it does with reducing pigmentation.
