Verso Star Serum Suite

There is often a brand that goes that extra mile with their products and it is fair to say Verso is one of those brands. Christmas has arrived with Verso in the shape of this Verso Star Serum Suite and if the midnight blue coloured sleeve doesn't make your eyes dance, then the products included most definitely will.

Verso is a skincare brand which was established in Stockholm in 2013. Verso's mission is to simplify your daily skincare routine by making it much more simple and straightforward and in doing so, every product has a number!
Verso Star Serum Suite
Verso Star Serum Suite serums
Hidden behind that midnight blue sleeve is the entire Verso Serum collection. For me, using a serum is an absolute must within my routine and I have got to know all of these serums incredibly well over the last year. Verso skincare takes the form of a routine and each routine has a number (there is a post coming on this), number 4 which is clearly visible on each of these bottles means it has a specific role to play, in this instance, it is 'Boost' and depending on what you feel you need from your serum, one of these three, each has its own place:
  • Verso Super Facial Serum - As serums go, this is one of the thickest textures that I have used but it melts onto the skin in double quick time. The perfect partner to both the Day and Night creams, it is incredibly nourishing. It features a higher dose of Retinol 8 than other Verso products and alongside peptides that increase skin cell quality and renewal, the serum works to improve the skin’s texture and ability to reduce wrinkles and discolouration.  Ideal for use both morning and evening, it can be used on its own or as part of your own skincare routine.
  • Verso Antioxidant - Tumeric is the hero ingredient within this Booster and it protects the skin against UV radiation and decreases inflammation. Then vitamin E works to block damaging free radicals from the skin’s surface, simultaneously improving the skin’s hydration capacity with help from tiny microalgae. Coming together, you have a serum which is incredibly hydrating, nourishing and protective.  This serum is ideal for being used in the morning and the evening and can be paired with both day and night creams.
  • Verso Hydration Serum - If it is hydration that your skin needs, then this is the serum for you. Niacinamide is the main ingredient and its job is to strengthen the skin barrier, reduces fine lines and improves the appearance of enlarged pores. Alongside this there is the use of ceramides, Vitamin E and skin-identical fatty acids which all have an efficient antioxidant effect, defending skin from harmful environmental factors.  This serum is ideal if you have dry skin, my own skin literally drinks all of this up. It can be used in the morning and the evening too.
Each of these serums represents the Verso hero ingredients which are Retinol 8, Niacinamide and Turmeric and all work together to look after, nourish, moisturise and protect the skin.

The entire Star Serum Suite from Verso is priced around £200 so it is most definitely in the luxury camp but you can also purchase each serum separately via MMCLPro here and Cult Beauty here.

The third product out of the box comes from Sensationail (£6) and I have the shade Stop Metalling in my business which is a gold glitter polish.
Sensationail Peel Off Polish
I have seen these polishes all over my social media feed of late and am really intrigued by the peel-off polish especially because it is a glitter polish. The polish is 5 free (free of Toluene, DBP, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor), not tested on animals and is non-flammable and non-toxic and it doesn't need a nail polish remover to remove it, because it just peels off!

The fourth item out of the box is the St Tropez Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Mousse (£7.75 Deluxe Mini) and it is described as being a lightweight and hydrating self-tan infused with an intoxicating tropical aroma.
St Tropez Self Tan Purity
Transforming from a water into a foam upon contact with skin, the formula applies effortlessly for a full coverage sun-kissed shimmer that doesn’t streak or transfer onto clothing. It is also enriched with 100% naturally derived and vegan tanning actives, the tanning mousse will help to create a healthy, natural-looking golden glow that lasts for days

No stranger to my blog is a brand called Beauty Bvld (RRP £12.50) and it is the fifth item out of the box. I first came across Beauty Blvd at a blogger event when I was introduced to Glitter Lips.
Beauty Bvld Glitter Lips
Beauty Bvld Glitter Lips - Ruby Slippers
In this box, we have some Glitter Lips in the shade Ruby Slippers which is a stunning shade of red and it is very glittery.  If you have never come across this product before then you need to look at them because they are a lot of fun, a little bit different and definitely make you stand out from the crowd. Smudge-proof, easy to apply and lasting for up to 8 hours.

Next comes Dr Dennis Gross Skincare (RRP £18.44 Deluxe Mini) and it is a brand I am slowly getting to know through beauty boxes.  Within this box, we have the C+ Collagen Bright + Firm Vitamin C Serum.
Dr Dennis Gross Skincare
Described as being supercharged with potent ingredients such as CoQ10, superoxide dismutase, carnitine, and niacinamide, they come together to fuel cells, increase collagen production, accelerate repair and improve imperfections like dullness, dark spots, uneven texture and finally expression lines.

A brand I know next to nothing about comes next and that is Nude by Nature (RRP £11.00 Deluxe Mini)and we have the Perfecting Primer. Described as being a Mineral Primer that smooths skin and creates an even, luminous base for make-up application.
Nude By Nature Perfecting Primer
The untinted formula, which is silicone free, blends seamlessly into the skin, restoring freshness and helping fight visible signs of ageing. With a mantra that says "Makeup which is good for you"
this primer is composed of active natural ingredients, including the native Australian Kakadu Plum, known for its abundant Vitamin C content, rich antioxidants Vitamins A and E, and Green Tea.

The next product needs no introduction as I am sure everyone will have used it or come across it and that is Morocconoil Treatment (RRP £13.45 Deluxe Mini). Infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil and shine-boosting vitamins, this Moroccanoil Treatment can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool.
Morocconoil Hair Treatment
Suitable for all hair types, even mine with greasy roots, you can choose whether to apply one to two drops to towel-dried hair, dry hair or even to your hair mask to get the best out of it.

One brand I have been wanting to try forever, but I just haven't got to the stand in Selfridges or found a Boots store which has it on sale (yet) is iT Cosmetics (RRP £6.33 Deluxe Mini)  Within this Glossybox is the Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil.
it Cosmetics Bow Power
Developed with plastic surgeons, Brow Power is designed to give you your most beautiful, natural-looking brows that last states the description. The pencil features an oval tip that works whether you have thin or thick brows to enhance the look of hair and helpfully there is a built-in spooley brush at the opposite end to give that polished finish.

The final two inclusions within this box comes from Kat Von D and they are Deluxe samples of the Saint and Sinner Perfume.
Kat Von D Fragrances
The first sample out of the box is the Saint perfume which comes packaged inside a white box. Described as being a soft alluring fragrance Saint has notes of mandarin, caramel and mirabelle plum.  The second sample is Sinner, which is found inside the black box and it is described as being a dark, sultry and empowering fragrance which has notes of vanilla, mandarin and mirabelle plums.  These fragrances are both Vegan and can be worn alone or you can layer them.

The second Kat Von D product is actually a voucher worth £35.  To use you need to visit a Kat Von D Beauty counter in Debenhams and enjoy a complimentary makeup service worth £35.
Kat Von D Voucher
It expires 31/01/19 and is valid for one person use only.  Please ensure you book in advance of your visit.

Now I personally think this is an incredible box and amazing value and it will sell out really quickly as all special Glossyboxes do, so if you want to get your hands on it, whether or not you are a subscriber then the link you need is HERE, it goes on sale on Monday 26th November at 8am for Subscribers at 8am and will be priced at £25 and then for non-subscribers it will go on sale at noon and will cost £30.

I would love to know what you think to this box?

Christmas with Buckley London

Giving Jewellery as a gift is quite special, especially at Christmas and I do love to gift some statement pieces if I see something I really like.  Buckley London is a Costume Jewellery Brand which was established back in 1989. Every Buckley London piece is designed in the UK by an in-house team of designers, creating unique twists on the latest fashion trends, whilst remaining true to the brand’s British heritage and trademark quality. Buckley London has an ever-growing global presence and currently supplies over 600 retail outlets worldwide including 300 high street stores, 140 airlines, 100 airports and over 80 cruise ships.
Christmas with Buckley London
This Christmas, Buckley London have quite an extensive range of gifts which are described as being fun and affordable and I would be more than happy to see these gifts hanging from my Christmas Tree.

The first item is this beautifully themed Ladies Christmas Cracker which is made from white sturdy cardboard which features a Reindeer and Christmas Tree theme in gold detail. Fastened either end with a black ribbon and gift tag.
Buckley London Cracker Bracelet
Inside the cracker is a silver-toned mesh bracelet featuring a delicate heart charm set with over 20 shimmering crystals. I have a few of these bracelets and I love that they are stretchy so they would fit any size wrist.  It comes wrapped in a silver organza bag as a nice little extra.

The second product is the Christmas Bauble Sparkle Pendant and I absolutely love this for a gift idea. Arriving in a box so you could wrap it up as a gift, or you could remove it from the box and hang it on the tree, which I really like the idea of doing.
Buckley London Bauble Bracelet

Inside the Bauble is a really beautiful pendant and it features a brilliant-cut Cubic Zirconia stone which is suspended from silver tone chain. I really love the simplicity of this necklace and it is one which will suit absolutely anyone of any age as it is an absolute classic. It also comes wrapped inside a silver organza bag.

Priced at just £12 these gifts are incredible value for money and you can find these and the rest of the collection right here on the Buckley London website - HERE as well as instore at House of Fraser and World Duty Free. Baubles can also be purchased from Argos and gift crackers can be purchased from QVC.

The Organic Skincare Co. Lipsticks

Whenever I write about a beauty product there are always two questions usually asked - is it Organic and is it Cruelty-free, concerns which are becoming more and more apparent for people when purchasing their next moisturiser, lip balm or shower gel.
The Organic Skincare Co. Lipsticks
The Organic Skin Co. was born and happily resides in New Zealand and is the brainchild of Megan Douglas, one-time model, one-time fashion designer, one-time wanderer, now naturopath, entrepreneur, and – alongside her sister-in-law and brand CEO, Lisette Douglas. They believe in their makeup; makeup that’s natural, chock-full of organics, and that actually works. Makeup that looks equally good whether you’re chilling at home, at work, or waltzing down the red carpet. Makeup, ultimately, that celebrates natural beauty in all its forms and that looks after you, thanks to the inclusion of revolutionary, oh-so-good-for-you supercritical extracts.

I was kindly sent two lipsticks from the range and at this point, it is well worth pointing out that as well as makeup of which you can find Primer, Foundation, Pressed Powder, Cream Concealer, Luminizer, Blushes, Cream Eyeshadow, Liquid Liner, Mascara and the chance to create your own eyeshadow palettes.  The lipsticks come presented quite differently to how I am used too as it is inspired bamboo and I just love the wooden lid, it really does make the lipstick casing stand out.
The Organic Skincare Co. Lipsticks
The Organic Skincare Co. Lipsticks

I have shades Flame and Galaxy and both are just absolutely stunning.

  • Flame is a beautiful warm deep red shade and it is infused with Organic Calendula and Rosemary and on the application, it glides across the lips with little effort imparting an incredible pigment.
  • Galaxy screams Autumn and Winter and it is a beautiful deep plum shade which again is enriched with Organic Calendula and Rosemary.
Both of these lipsticks are manufactured free of parabens, nanos, bismuth oxychloride, gluten and talc. Both lipsticks also benefit from the addition of carnauba wax (known as ‘the queen of waxes’) offers the skin protection against external elements and helps make the lipsticks less vulnerable to changes in temperature.

The Organic Skincare Co. Lipsticks
I have swatched these lipsticks in daylight, as gloomy as it is right now and have uploaded without any editing at all.  The top shade is Flame and the bottom shade is Galaxy and as you can see, with just one swipe of the bullet onto my wrist, there is a lot of pigment and what I really love about these lipsticks is how long they last.  Once applied, I get a good 5-6 hours wear out of them before needing to re-apply and they are incredibly moisturising.

If you are moving towards the more organic side of things with makeup and cosmetics, then The Organic Skincare Co. is more than worth the look.
