Pia Jewellery

I love my jewellery, you might have guessed if you have seen my Pinterest feed or some posts ive done over the last few months, so when asked if I would like to review something from Pia, I immediately accepted. Pia Jewellery sell a wide range of jewellery, bags, purses and gifts, infact you will find pretty much something you like in every category.

To look at, Pia Jewellery is simply stunning, you only have to look at the website for a few seconds before you begin adding things to your basket. Each item is beautifully made and presented online, so when it arrives to you beautifully gift-wrapped it is still very much impressive.  All of Pai's jewellery conforms to European safety standards, including the control of nickel and all earrings are hypoallergenic - this pleases me because I have an issue with products containing high amounts of nickel, I turn green!

I was kindly sent two pairs of silver earrings**, one which made me cackle as it hosts a saying that I use quite a lot and another which are quite exquisite.

These sterling silver ovals are engraved with the message ‘in one ear’ and ‘out the other’ which I say alot to Steve when he isn't listening to what I am telling him. In the ear they have a slight dangle on them which is around 24mm from the hole downwards.  I like these earrings because they are quirky, they are a nice shape and size and cost just £20.

The second pair are Sterling silver rose studs with pink pearl centres and just look at them truly divine and the kind of earrings that you can wear during the day or should you have an evening event, they can add that little touch of class to your outfit.

Retailing at just £20, again I think these are an absolute bargain and I wear them quite a lot right now as they suit every outfit I have worn and as someone who has small ears, they are not too big that they look even smaller.
I have my eye on a few other items on the Pia website currently the Sterling silver star pendant with a tiny star plated in rose-gold and the star charm bracelet which are just amazing and retail for £25 and £28 respectively - total bargains and definitely on my wishlist.

Have you ever owned any jewellery from Pia? Is there anything that really takes your fancy?

Look Fantastic November Beauty Box

Today see's the LookFantastic November Beauty Box on my blog and I have to say it is pretty fantastic yet again. For £15 you are sent a great selection of handpicked, must have beauty fixes wrapped in a beautifully presented box and delivered straight to your door. The beauty box will always include a minimum of six products and will offer a selection of skin, hair, cosmetic and body products, catering to every kind of beauty lover. I have had both the September and October boxes and I was really excited about getting my hands on the November box and I wasn't disappointed.

The first item in the box which I was chuffed with is the HAND CHEMISTRY Intense Youth Complex Hand Cream, 30 mls. (Full size 100ml for £18.99) As far as I am concerned this is the best hand cream I have ever used and having just run out, I am glad I already have another one to use, not that I am ever short of hand cream, but you can never have too many.

Next is some make-up and this time it is the New CID i - crayon. Full Size £14.00 and I have shade Strawberry Souffle which is not perhaps a shade I would ever buy but I am still looking for my perfect red and I am going to give this a go. The crayon is a multi-use one being both a lip and cheek tint.

Then we have the Monu Recovery Balm. 30 ml (Full size 50ml. £22.50). I have tried quite a few Monu products over time and have always been impressed with them, this is one I havent tried so I am looking forward to giving it a go. Said to be a soothing balm for sensitised and stress skin. What I love is that you can apply it at night before going to bed and wake up with super smooth skin in the morning. So this I am really looking forward to trying.

Nuxe are next with their NUXE Nuxellence Jeunesse (Youth and Radiance Revealing Fluid. 15ml (Full size 50 ml, £47.50) when I first looked at it, I have to admit, I wasn't too sure what it was, so I Googled it to find that it is an anti-ageing fluid that claims to improve the skins feel and texture and give it a big boost of radiance.  I have only used a few Nuxe products, so I am looking forward to trying it.

The next product is the Eve Lom Cleanser. 30ml (Full size 100ml. £55.00). I have had a really small trial pot of this before which didn't have much in it, so I am chuffed I have a decent sized tub to try. Said to be a multi-tasking marvel which removed every last trace of make-up, even waterproof mascara, it also decongests, tones and gently exfoliates the skin!

The final item in the box is the rather fabulous GLAMGLOW Youth Mud Face Mask. 15g. (Full size 50g. £49.99). I am a huge fan of this mask having had a sample and raved about it HERE and because I loved it so much, I am chuffed to be able to have more.

The Selfie Brush: Genius or Ridiculous?

Whether you like it or not, everywhere you turn people are taking selfies, celebs, your mates and even your mum and dad.  Living in London I see endless people taking selfies outside famous stores, with celebrities and even on the tube (weird).   I however struggle to get a decent selfie! I am always gurning like my Gran after chewing on some tough meat with her dentures or I am looking anywhere but the camera, so anything that can help me perfect the technique and get something half decent is more than worth a go right?

Well, let me introduce you to the selfie-brush, yes you did read that correctly. This brush has been designed to give you picture perfect hair in every shot and as you can see it is one of those neat little multi-tasking tools in that it also doubles up as a case for your phone, has a mirror and can be used to brush your hair! It might surprise you that this Selfie brush is:

  • The perfect social media tool. Look good on Facebook Instagram & Twitter
  • The handle extends your reach to get the best possible angle for Selfies
  • Paddle brush gives professional results
  • Easy to find in pocket book
  • Offers superior phone protection
  • Ability to text or make a phone call with phone in brush

As you can see, it is very much the normal hairbrush with the inclusion of a mirror and somewhere for you phone.  The brush itself works really well on my hair and ive used it more in that respect than I have for taking selfies.

Whether I would buy one for myself or not is another matter, I like that it is quirky, does what it says it will do and is easy to use, im just not the selfie obsessed person who could get the most out of it, my god daughter however has already hinted that she loves it and could possibly need it asap - so it might just find itself a loving owner!  The brush costs £16.99 and is suitable for the iPhone 5 and 5s.

Is the selfie-brush something you would use? Is it genius or ridiculous?

You Beauty Discovery Box - November

If you are an avid reader of my blog, you will know how amazing I think the You Beauty Discovery Box is and you can see what I got in the  February, March, April, May, June, July, August September and October boxes.

My November box arrived a few days ago and this month I was decided what I was going to want as soon as I got the list of options through in an email. The one thing I love about this box is that for £6.95 you get such a good range of products to choose from and this month is no exception.

Starting with the free treats this month we have the follow items

There has been a lot of chatter around the skincare brand Merumaya lately, ive been seeing it everywhere and in my box I have two sachets to try - a Melting Cleansing Balm and some Iconic Youth Serum, the two together apparently forming a dream team for skincare.

Then we have Aduna Baobab Superfruit Powder which is a rich source of vitamin C. It can be blended into smoothies or sprinkled onto cereal, porridge or yoghurt.

The rest of the box is formed from a theme of gift-worthy goodies and they were as follows:

  • Skin & Tonic cleansing balm
  • Roques O'Neil Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts
  • Rituals Hammam Delight Shower Foam
  • Magnifibres Brush-on False Lashes
  • Invisibobble
  • Green People Forest Brown organic eyeliner pencil
  • Bourjois Cream blush
  • Argan Organics anti-wrinkle range
So for me there was definitely a fantastic choice of products to choose from and I opted for the following:

The first item was the Roques O'Neil Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts which I raved about HERE and as far as I am concerned you can never have too many of these sachets in your bathroom because they are an amazing product. If you have never tried them before and I urge to do so.

"A blissful cocktail of therapeutic Himalayan mineral salts to fortify the spirit. Like a natural Valium, these bath salts calm stress-based palpitations, balance energy flow and help combat insomnia. Add to this blood purifying and anti-inflammatory properties, and discover that heaven is just a bath soak away".

This is a 100g sachet which has an RRP £9.99.

The second item is one I have had my eye on for a while because I am a mascara fiend but have never got round to ordering and that is the Magnifibres Brush-on False Lashes which are said to give an instant false lash effect without the fuss. As a full sized product there is a RRP of £16.99.

So for a £6.95 subscription, my box has a value of around £27 which is almost 4 times the value for money - amazing.

What do you think to do this? Do you subscribe to these boxes? What would you have chosen? If you subscribe, link your post below so I can see what you got.
