Pixi Beauty Rose Essence Collection

The Pixi Beauty Rose Essence Collection is quite possibly one of the prettiest things I’ve ever received, from the cute little rose gold padlock to the contents inside, the entire box is so beautifully thought out and packaged.

After unlocking the padlock the box opens up and on left hand side there are some Skin Treats and the right hand side there are some Lip Treats. The My Rose Collection unlocks the beautifying benefits of Rose Hip and Rose Flower Oils, Rose Extract and Rose Water.  It is said that for centuries the essence of rose has been celebrated as a powerful elixir that unlocks beauty from within, so this entire packager works to unlock that beauty.

The Skin Treats promises products for glowing skin and the two full-sized products are a  Rose Caviar Essence and a Rose Flash Balm, neither of which I had used or come across until now.  The Rose Caviar Essence is for all skin types and is designed to brighten, nourish and hydrate.  To be used after cleansing and toning, you only need a small coin sized amount to gently press onto the skin of your face, neck and decolletage.  I am a huge fan of essences and have used two others for well over a year now and they do make quite the difference, this one happens to smell just like roses and it is simply divine.  Rose Caviar from Pixi uses flower oils which are encapsulated in the weightless essence serum which melt onto the skin. As it melts fresh botanicals are delivered to the skin which hydrate and restore skin’s brightness for optimum radiance. The formula also contains antioxidant rich natural oils that soften, tone and refine the skin.  Priced at £26.

The Rose Flash Balm is described as being a 3-in-1 formula which works to prime, moisturise or it can be used as a hydrating mask.  I am happy to use anything which promises to brighten my complexion, particularly in the colder months when my skin ca be dull and dry.  It has an oil-free formula which absorbs instantly and adds instant moisture and brightens the skin.  To use as a treatment primer you simply apply a thin layer to face and neck after cleansing and leave it to absorb or if you use it as a mask, which is my favourite thing to do, you simply apply a thick layer onto your skin and leave it for up to 5 minutes before rinsing off with water water. It leaves my skin feeling so hydrated, smooth and soft to the touch and again it smells just incredible. Priced at £26 for a full sized tube or there is an option to buy a miniature version for just £6.

Opposite the skincare treats are the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lipsticks and there are five in total which, if you like neutral shades, these are definitely worth looking at because they are all stunning. Infused with rosehip oil and Vitamin E, the lipsticks apply evenly and glide onto the lips thanks to the shape and design of the Pixi Petal applicator and once they have been applied, they dry and set incredibly quickly with a Matte Veil finish but they are not uncomfortable or drying, they are incredibly hydrating and easy to wear. Again, nothing budges these lipsticks. I wore Pastel Petal on Christmas Day and it was still there late evening as I was going to bed.

The five lipstick shades are from right to left:
  • Au Naturelle which is a rose toned nude
  • Matte Beige which is a beige toned nude
  • Pastel Petal which is a pinky beige nude
  • Really Rose which is a rose brown
  • Evening Rose which is a mauve brown
All of the shades are incredibly easy to wear and I have worn Au Naturelle the most of all the shades during the daytime and during an evening I have topped up with Evening Rose, both of which I just adore as shades.  Each Liquid Lipstick retails for £16.

Again Pixi have managed to wow me with an abundance of products and I have absolutely loved and will continue to love using the,  Are you a Pixi fan?

Moschino Gold Fresh Couture Eau De Parfum

Moschino, pronounced mos-keen-o have come up with not one, or two but now three incredible fragrances which are unlike anything else I have ever owned, tried or worn. Why? Well the bottle is always a good place to start.
Moschino Gold Fresh Couture Eau De Parfum
Moschino Gold Fresh Couture Eau De Parfum
Moschino Gold Fresh Couture Eau De Parfum
Moschino Gold Fresh Couture is the third fragrance within the collection and once again taking inspiration from from the iconic cleaning spray bottle, which most of us quite possibly have within our kitchens. Taking on that bottle and making it incredible more than once is quite an achievement and this time it is a whole new level of incredible because it is blingtastic, it is gold and perhaps most importantly of all, the fragrance is simply amazing.
In the spirit of its wearer, the Moschino Gold Fresh Couture Eau de Parfum was made to grab your attention. Just as she sparkles and shines in her own way, the intoxicating sensuality of the sublime gold bottle paired with its sensual aroma of feminity will become an indispensable part of your daily routine.

Sitting within the Fruity Floral family but with woody facets and for me, it is that which makes it an incredible scent. Gold Fresh Couture has top notes of Yellow Mandarine Orpur®, Pear and Rhubarb Granita, White Vine Peach which it give it an incredible fruity blast as the middle notes of Jasmine, Mahonial, Golden Chain Orchid (Scenttrek®) brings about the floral notes which come together with the fruity notes to give this fragrance one amazing scent before the base notes of Precious Sandalwood, Musk, Vanilla, Akigalawood give a dark and warm woody subtleness which, for me, makes this scent and one that I couldn't fail to not love instantly.

On the skin, what I love about this fragrance is that it comes into its own as it starts to dry down.  The immediate burst of fruit when combined with the rest of the notes are just delightful and for me, it is a scent which lasts all day and is not one I need to re-apply mid-afternoon which is quite some staying power and it is also a scent I can still catch a sniff of the following day on my clothes.  Without a doubt, this is my favourite fragrance within the Moschino collection and it is available in 30ml (£42), 50ml (£60) and 100ml (£80) and you can find it in places such as House of Fraser, Feelunique, Escentual and all other know fragrance stores nationwide.

Have you tried any of the Moschino fragrances?

e.l.f Skin Care Collection

I am sure many of us did a little dance when e.l.f came back to the UK, launching in Superdrug with some amazing products, which I reviewed right here, but did you know they have also launched an entire skin collection too?  Available from Superdrug, e.l.f describe their collection as 'skintertainment' and all of the products are free from Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates and are Vegan and Cruelty Free.
e.l.f Skin Care Collection
The entire collection comprises of sixteen products which are not only described as being luxurious and accessible but in listening to their consumers, the products within the collection are designed to give you a spa like experience at home, without annoying your bank manager and what drew me in the most? They K-Beauty inspired!  Over the last few months, I have been using three of the sixteen products and here they are:

Exfoliating Scrub - This exfoliating scrub is really gentle on the skin and uses Walnut Shell to help polish away dead skin cells.
e.l.f Skin Care Collection
It is infused with purified water and vitamin E and what I was surprised to find is that rather than stripping the skin after using and making your face feel as though you need to add anything and everything moisture wise, it is instead incredibly hydrated and it leaves skin feeling soft and smooth to the touch. Priced at £5.99.

Illuminating Eye Cream - I always have an eye cream on my bedside table in the hope that I can ward off any lines and wrinkles for as long as I possibly can.  Described as being a nourishing cream which helps hydrate and minimise the appearance of dark circles and puffiness.
elf_illuminating_Eye_Cream
Again it is infused with Purified Water and skin nourishing Jojoba, Vitamin E, and Cucumber which comes together to help soothe and protect the delicate skin area around the eye. This cream is also rich in antioxidants Shea Butter and Green Tea and when used, it is incredibly lightweight and absorbs on contact with the skin Priced at £11.49.

Daily Hydration Moisturiser - Again this cream is infused with Purfied Water and skin-nourishing Jojoba, Aloe, Vitamin E and Cucumber making it lightweight on the skin, hydrating and nourishing.  Then there is the inclusion of Shea Butter, Grape and Orange Peel which are rich in antioxidants.
e.l.f Skin Care Collection
This cream is lightly scented and with a scent that I can best describe as slightly fruity, on the skin it is lightweight, absorbs really quickly and I love how it makes my skin feels. Priced at £8.99.

Alongside these three products you will also find a Hydrating Bubble Mask, Pore Refining Brush and Mask Tool, Hydrating Serum, Gentle Peeling Exfoliant, Moisturising Sleep Mask, Hydrating Water Essence, Cleansing Cloths and much more.

Have you tried anything from e.l.f? Is there anything from the skincare range which tempts you?
