Ecoya Guava & Lychee Sorbet Candle

I have probably mentioned it a lot but I do adore candles, whichever room I am sat in, I have one burning, I find them relaxing and of course I am intrigued by their scents and whether or not they live up to their claims.
Ecoya Guava & Lychee Sorbet Candle
Ecoya Guava & Lychee Sorbet Candle

Ecoya Guava & Lychee Sorbet Candle

Ecoya isn't a brand I am too familiar with, but if this Guava and Lychee Sorbet Candle is anything to go by, then I want and need to know more. Before the candle is removed from the box, the scent is already quite captivating and most definitely has a tropical note to it, summer time might almost be over, but this is a candle which will make you forget that Autumn is coming.

Founded back in 2004, Ecoya is described as being 'a leading eco-luxe fragrance and bodycare brand'. They are an Australian brand and use hand-poured natural waxes and lead-free cotton wicks to craft their signature paraffin-free scented candles. Ecoya focus on pure ingredients and meticulously blended scents has led to them becoming popular in more than 25 countries worldwide.

The candle arrives inside a beautifully peach/coral sorbet coloured box and inside is glass jar which houses the candle.  This particular one has a burn time of 55 hours and its fragrance is described as follows:
Layers of delicious guava nectar interwoven with the sparkling sweetness of lychee, underpinned by voluptuous tropical berries.

So full of fruity notes, the scent of Guava is really quite evident and even before the silver embossed lid is removed and once alight the scent becomes even more alive and literally travels to each room of the house leaving behind the most incredible tropical scent, very uplifting and a definite mood pleaser.

If this sounds like a candle for you, then John Lewis has both a mini version which is £17  and the larger size candle, which is the one I have for £39 at John Lewis. If candles are not for you, but you like the sound of the scent, there is also a reed diffuser option right for £45.

Aldi Candles - A Jo Malone Dupe?

I am a candle obsessive and for this I make no apology, I find them relaxing, I like to have one burning in whichever room I am sitting in.  When my timeline exploded with excitement over the Jo Malone candle dupes from Aldi, I naturally had to see what all the fuss was about.
Admittedly there has been chatter that these candles cannot be dupes because the wax used is not the same, the essential oils are not the same and obviously the design and packaging is not remotely similar, that said I gave them a try.

So the candles are priced at £3.99 and oddly I found them amongst the cleaning products rather than with all the special offers around the store, but I did manage to get all three that they had in store. The candles are packaged in large glass containers and have a double wick which is quite impressive and they have a 48 hour burn time.

So candle No.1 is Lime, Basil & Mandarin.
Aldi Candles - A Jo Malone Dupe?
Aldi Candles - A Jo Malone Dupe?
With this candle you can smell both the Lime and the Mandarin before it is lit and then as the candle burns the basil comes to life and I was quite surprised as to how lovely scented this candle was.

Candle No.2 is Blackberry Bay and this candle is much stronger smelling than No.1.
Aldi Candles - A Jo Malone Dupe?
Aldi Candles - A Jo Malone Dupe?
The Blackberry scent is not as strong and fruity as I had expected it to be, you have to get up quite close and personal to catch the actual scent, but I have bought candles far more expensive which have less of a scent.  For me, I think it is the weakest of three candles.

My favourite of all the candles is No.3 which is Pomegranate Noir.
Aldi Candles - A Jo Malone Dupe?
Aldi Candles - A Jo Malone Dupe?
This one for me has the strongest scent and the one which has the ability to ensure the fragrance spreads throughout the house and to me, it actually does smell as the name suggests.

Having mentioned the candles are from Aldi, cost £3.99 and most people are on the fence about their worthiness as a dupe, these two wick candles have surprised me for a few reasons.  Firstly they burn well and secondly there is no black residue or smoke once the candle is alight and I was actually expecting there to be some if not a lot of black smoke.

As always with a glass jar candle you need to be careful about touching it, despite the thickness of the glass, these jars do get very hot, so you will need a mat underneath each one, or use the lid like I do and they need to be cool before touching. At £3.99 I think these are well and truly worth trying, they are not a match for a Jo Malone Candle when it comes to luxury, an amazing scent and that incredible packaging though.

Stephanie's Organics

I absolutely adore candles and I am sure if you read my blog regularly enough you will have noticed that.  For me they present an opportunity to kick back, relax and as the scents and aromas come to life, watching the flame of a lit wick flicker is quite mesmerising.
Stephanie's Organics
Stephanies Organics is a little independent business who I am glad to be able to bring to the blog. Stephanie kindly sent me 4 of her own hand poured candles to test and try.  When they arrived, well packaged in a brown box, I was taken aback by how strong the scent was, a mixture of all four together creating this heavenly, almost spa-like scent.  Opening the box, that scent intensified and I just wanted to light them there and then.

Stephanie herself describes her range as follows: "Each fragrance has been developed with serenity in mind; escape to an oasis of calm, with the opulent, warmth & richness of Stephanie’s Organics. Stephanie’s Organics incorporates sophistication with indulgence and sustainability: a stylish addition to any home, or present for that special someone".

The collection which contains no paraffin is made from the finest quality essential oils, sustainably sourced soy wax, cotton wicks, and premium and recycled packaging come in four fragrances: Lemon, Bergamot & Lime, Mimosa, White Jasmine & Rose, Rose & Red Berry and Highland Pine. Each scent, as you can see, has a different banding on the box so you can identify which one is which.

I have found it really hard to pick a favourite candle. Each one is totally different and has a scent just as you imagined it to be.

Lemon, Bergamot and Lime is a really sharp fresh scent, naturally citrusy and was iInspired by the wonders of Italy when creating this beautifully clean, citrus-fresh Lemon, Bergamot and Lime fragrance.
Stephanie's Organics
The description as follows "Zesty, vibrant top notes of Lemon, Lime and orange are wrapped with the heart notes of crisp fresh basil and the base notes of cedar, patchouli and Vetivert add a warmth to give an uplifting, contemporary fragrance.

Highland Pine was a scent I wasn't sure what to expect. Described as being a Clean and invigorating Scottish Pine, Eucalyptus and Galbanum to instantly soothe and calm, evoking the essence of fresh air in the breathtakingly beautiful Scottish countryside.
Stephanie's Organics
So with this candle, Stephanie has utilised upon the essence of unique Scottish ingredients. With top notes of Scottish Pine, Eucalyptus as mentioned, the heart notes of Cypress and Lavandin which add a slightly earthy tone but the deeper woody base notes of Cedarwood, Amyris and Olibanum are just incredible.

Rose and Red Berry is a scent which can only be described as elegant and if you love a fruity floral then this is definitely for you.
Stephanie's Organics
With top notes of fresh, citrus Sicilian lemons and Buchu Leaf, which has a beautiful blackcurrant type scent if you have never come across it before, you get a candle which opens quite fruity with a citrus twist.  The heart notes of Geranium and Galbanum add a light floral twist as the base notes of Cedarwood and Vetiver enhance the intensity of the scent and what you get is an absolutely incredible scent which I just adore

The final candle if Mimosa, White Jasmine and Rose and quite a romantic sounding candle with those three.
Stephanie's Organics
I am a huge fan of anything Jasmine, it is such an amazing scent and for me, this candle is truly stunning.  Starting with top notes of both Rose and Jasmine, the floral notes compliment one another as crushed violet, Lemon and Bergamot, as the middle notes create a clean scent with a bit of twist because in coming next are Cedar and Beeswax as base notes to add depth and a slight sweetness to what has so far been a beautiful fresh scent.

What I love about these candles is that they are not only incredibly scented on their own, but you can mix two, three or even all of them together at once to create this amazingly fresh, vibrant scent and you only need to burn them for a few hours and that scent drifts right around the home filling each room.  Each of these candles has a burn time of approximately 15 hours which is also really impressive.

A 220g Candle with a burn time of 45-hour burn is priced at just £28. If you love candles and likes the sound of these candles, then please go and visit Stephanie right here on her Facebook page to learn more about the brand.

Mother's Day with Charles Farris and Rathbornes

With Mothers Day on the horizon and gifts still to be bought, today I am bringing to you, two amazing candle brands which would make an amazing gift.  I am a huge candle fan and think the gift of a candle can be just as special and thoughtful as a bouquet of flowers.

Charles Farris is a brand which is steeped in a heritage that dates back to 1845, Charles Farris scented candles still use the same traditional methods from the Victorian era to make the best candles for modern day – slow-burning, long lasting and of the highest quality. The story goes back to 1845, when Charles Farris created a brand that supplied pillar candles to some of Britain’s most important buildings including Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral.

Mother's Day with Charles Farris and Rathbornes
Mother's Day with Charles Farris and Rathbornes

Using 170 years of experience, Charles Farris has now created a range of seven premium scented candles and reed diffusers, specifically for use at home. Working with master blenders to create unique and beautiful scents, the candles have been crafted using traditional techniques, the highest quality ingredients and are encased in artesian hand-finished glass.  The seven unique fragrance blends, inspired by London’s rich history, include ingredients such as British honey, hedgerow blackberries and oak wood fused with more exotic notes such as tobacco, ylang and mint.

I have two candles which are both very different in scent, but both equally divine.
  • I. Grand Cascade: This scent evokes the sophistication of a gentlemen’s club: A deep, smoky aroma of cedar aged leather and birch which is offset by fresh moss and amber.  As soon as the box is open, the woody scent is immediatly noticeable and it is just a wonderful scent.  RRP £30
  • II. Sweet Elixir: A bouquet of heady florals that have been infused with sweet honey and blended with fruity notes of cherry and citrus, which give this scent a warm and enveloping feel. Again, this is a strong scent candle and one for those who love citrus scents. RRP £30
Then we have Rathbornes, who are officially the oldest candle brand in the world. Did you know that Rathbornes have been producing candles since 1488? This is before Columbus discovered America! With over 500 years experience, Rathbornes, which was founded in Dublin, hand pour wax candles which are infused with the highest quality natural essential oils, tested to ensure optimum scent distribution and the highest quality burn time. Rathbornes candles are woven into the social fabric of Ireland and have been providing steadfast light for the homes, streets and lighthouses of the world.

With three different sized candles within their range, there is something for everyone to try, whether it is a travel sized candle or a luxury size.  Within the range there is a choice of six different scents - Dublin Tea Rose, Oud & Patchouli, Wild Mint, Watercress & Thyme, Rosemary, Fougere & Camphor, Bitter Orange, Birch Tar & Balsam, Cedar, Cloves & Ambergris and White Pepper, Honeysuckle & Vetiver.  The two I have been enjoying are:

  • Wild Mint, Watercress & Thyme - Wake up the senses with this purifying and invigorating blend. Inspired by aromatic herb gardens, mint, lemon, eucalyptus, camphor, rosemary, thyme and ginger are all fused together. This candle is, quite literally, a breath of fresh air and if you have ever walked through a fresh herb garden, then this is what the scent reminds me of and it is just perfect for everyday use. RRP £30
  • Bitter Orange, Birch Tar & Balsam - Envisage a bowl of oranges close by a crackling fire and you will imagine the scent of this warm and earthy citrus candle. Rich and inviting, it infuses citrus top notes with an amber heart and smoky base of birch, fir balsam and oak wood. As a scent it is wonderfully relaxing and perfect for a Sunday afternoon of curling up with a good book and forgetting it is Monday tomorrow. RRP £30
If you have never come across either of these brands, then they are more than worth checking out and with so many beautiful scents to choose from, you are well and truly spoilt for choice.

Have you bought your Mothers Day gift yet?

The Melt Crowd

I am a huge fan of candles and melts, there is always something burning when I am at home and I love discovering new scents.  The Melt Crowd subscription box is one of those products everyone needs to try, especially, if like me you love candles and melts.

At just £10 per box, for which you will get 8 melts and an oil burner in your first box to get you on your way, this is an amazing opportunity to try something new.   These melts are hand poured and have a burn time for up to 30 hours, which in itself is quite impressive.  To compare their size, they are the same size as my lens cap for my Canon DLSR.
The Melt Crowd
The Melt Crowd

The January box arrived through my door a few days ago and I just love each scent that was included within the box and upon opening it, the combination of those 8 scents was just amazing and this is what I found.

Coconut - I absolutely love anything coconut.  Food, drinks and the scent.  This melt fuels that love with its fresh scent and if you love coconut bites, then you'll love this.

Crystal Mountain Water - This is such a light scent that it takes a few seconds to get used to and then once you do, it is a lovely fresh scent that is perfect for a cold dark gloomy day.

Orange and Lemongrass - This is one of those scents that comes with a punch and smells every bit as the name would suggest, the scent of lemongrass being slightly more dominant it is one amazing smell.
The Melt Crowd
Cinnamon and Mandarin - This is Christmas in a melt.  The Mandarin manages to calm down the scent of cinnamon which I often find too over-baring, but this is just lovely and again, perfect for winding down.

Strawberry Jam - This is perhaps my least favourite of the 8 melts, whilst it does smell of strawberries, I am not too sure it gives the same fresh scent the other melts have but it does remind me of Strawberry Laces which I rather like eating.

Pink Denim - Powdery fresh with a hint of florals this is the perfect spring scent and one which I adore.

Baby Powder - If you love the scent of Johnson's Talcum powder, then you will love this scent because to me it is identical.  I love scents like this which are clean and it more than reminds me of my childhood.

Whisky - I dont think ive ever seen a scent like this nor smelt one like it.  It smells exactly as I thought it would and reminds me of a coffee my grandma used to make which had a hint of whisky in it. It isn't over-powering but the scent of whisky is most definitely present.

I am thoroughly enjoying my first Melt Crowd Box, it is a joy to discover some new scents and I think the idea is just brilliant.  Now only is it a nice treat for yourself, but it would make a great gift for a friend, relative and even just because you want to gift someone.  Each box has an RRP£18.95 and the cost to you is just £10 which is an absolute bargain and I love that your first box includes an oil burner, which means, if you don't have one, the box isn't wasted.

Have you tried The Melt Crowd?

PartyLite Candles

If you read this blog regularly you will know that I am a massive fan of candles and now Summer has been and gone and Autumn is drawing ever closer, I will burn a lot of candles.  I usually get home from work, close the curtains to close out the outside world, park myself on the sofa after lighting some candles to relax.  For me this is what candles are all about.  So when I was given the chance to try some from PartyLite, a brand I knew nothing about, I jumped at the chance.

PartyLite are an online store which specialises in home fragrance and decor and they have a really large selection of home fragrance options for you to choose from such as candles, diffusers and wax melts. So I have spent the last few weeks burning these candles to see if they can compare to those well known brands when it comes to burn time and fragrance.

The first candle I tried was the Vanilla Citron Escential Jar by PartyLite which I expected to hate because I am not a Vanilla scent enthusiast, infact it usually gives me a headache.  To look at the candle isn't overly decorative and as soon as the box is open, there is an immediate scent of both vanilla and citrus, neither overpowering the other but both very much present and as soon as it is alight, that scent intensifies quite quickly and fills every room.

PartyLite Candles

Then came the Discovery Trio, which again as soon as the box is opened, not only are you greeted with three lovely bright coloured candles, but the scent is really noticeable.

  • Japanese Yuzu is bright orange and has blue fans nicely decorating the glass jar.  The scent is really citrusy, a cross between being an orange and a mandarin and it is an absolute delight on its own or as part of the trio.
  • Costa Rican Fruta Dorada which is bright yellow and decorated with sunshine shapes.  As a scent it is much more fruity than the Japanese Yuzu and more like a fresh peach.
  • The final candle is Hawaiian Hibiscus which is probably my favourite of the trio. A bright pink candle with a glass decorated with green leaves and flowers. I had expected the scent to be quite floral there is something quite tropical about the scent.
PartyLite Candles
PartyLite Candles

Together as a trio they smell absolutely divine as you might expect, there is a lovely fresh floral and fruity fragrance which quickly fills whichever room you happen to have them in and even after you have distinguished them, the scent lingers for a good few hours afterwards.

Overall, I really like these candles and they're definitely comparable to some of the higher end brands I've tried.

Kiss Air Candles - The Ice Cream Parlour collection

When someone says candles and Ice Cream, the two probably shouldn't go together right? Wrong!  They very much do. Today Kiss-Air Candles have launched their new Ice Cream Parlour Summer collection and within the range, there are going to be five new candles, all of which have been inspired by popular ice cream flavours and all sound good enough to eat.

Kiss Air Candles - The Ice Cream Parlour collection
Kiss Air Candles - The Ice Cream Parlour collection

The Ice Cream Parlour collection will include scents such as Mint Choc Chip, Salted Caramel, Mango Sorbet, Rum and Raisin and Black Cherry scented candles.  I was kindly sent Mint Choc Chip and Mango Sorbet and all I can say is that I wanted to eat them not burn them as soon as I lifted the lid to see how good they smelt and whether or not they did remind me of ice-cream - they did!

Mint Choc Chip** is the first one I lit and it smells very much like a Mint Choc Feast Ice-cream to me, the kind I always want on a hot summer day because it cures my craving for chocolate whilst being cooling at the same time.

This candle is spot on with an equal mix of being peppermint and bitter chocolate, both scents you can detect separately and together and it smells so good, seriously amazing and it is neither over the top sickly sweet or pungently minty, for me the mix is just perfect. Combining notes of peppermint with a twist of bitter chocolate chips, this is a massive thumbs up from me.

Kiss Air Candles - The Ice Cream Parlour collection

Mango Sorbet** is made up of a refreshing blend of exotic ripe mango, lemon and raspberries all rolled into one to create what can only be described as heavenly.  The kind of scent you want to burn on a hot spring/summer day and one that reminds me of a Calippo ice-lolly that I love to eat to keep refreshed and hydrated during the summer. One alight, the scent, which is not at all overly sweet or sickly, quickly fills the room and lingers really nicely.

For me Mango Sorbet is a scent that everyone can love, male or female and when it is alight, it smells exactly as you expect it to.

Kiss Air Candles - The Ice Cream Parlour collection

The candles I have pictured above are the large tins which have an RRP £8.50 and have a burn for up to 30 hours. As always, candles do come with warnings, one of them being ensure you don't leave them burning unattended and take extra care when handling the metal tins because they get really hot. I would also advise placing all candles on a heat proof mat when burning the candle.

If you like the look and sound of Kiss-Air's Ice Cream Parlour Collection, look out for them as they launched today and prices of the products differ depending on their size.

What do you think to this collection?  Do any of the scents catch your attention?

La Montana - Scented Candles Inspired by Spain

I am yet to meet someone who isn't a fan of candles, I personally am a huge fan and can never have too many. Whenever I am at home, there is always one burning in whichever room I tend to be in.

I was recently introduced to La Montana fragranced candles**, a brand that has been inspired by life in a Spain Village. Founders Cass and Jonathan Hall decided to leave London life behind back in 2011 and move to move to a Valencian mountainside where they became inspired enough to create their own home fragrance range that captured the beautiful surroundings and the new smells of the area.
La Montana - Scented Candles Inspired by Spain
I was very kindly sent two candles from the range and I was blown away by the delicious scents which hit me as soon as I opened the box.  I also really love the candles packaging, all of which have a vintage 1930s travel poster design printed on both the labels on the candle and then onto packaging.

First Light which is La Montanas signature fragrance and is described as being
"A unique, intoxicating blend of wild, aromatic mountain herbs: fennel, bergamot, rosemary, mountain pepper, and rockrose" Now for me, this literally brings about the sense of sunshine and mountains and what it would be like to breathe in the morning air.
Once alight, that scent becomes more intense as it filters through the house and the entire time the candle is burning, that scent remains strong.
La Montana - Scented Candles Inspired by Spain
The second candle is called Alfredo's Café and it is the latest scent from La Montana and it is described as being
"An unusual, rich, comforting blend of the best aromas of our village square – coffee, brandy, and black tobacco, laced with leather and incense from the church"
The scent to me, is the kind of scent you get whilst sitting outside a cafe on holiday as all the scents mix together. It is quite a warm and comforting scent and one which is ideal for both men and women.

Again once it is alight, the fragrance really comes to life and for me the scent of coffee is the most dominant and it is such a wonderful fresh scent.
La Montana - Scented Candles Inspired by Spain
La Montana candles have approximately 40+ hours burn time and retail at just £35 each.  You can find the full La Montana range via their website.

Shabby Chic from the flower Garden

Life for me at the minute is pretty chaotic and between work life, home life and blogging, it is sometimes really hard to find the right balance.  This month is super busy and we are only just into February and I am already exhausted.

Coming home in an evening on the off chance I have no plans what-so-ever, I like to ensure I get time to sit back, relax, have a hot bath, read some blogs or my Kindle and generally wind down and leave my day behind.  So once dinner is out of the way, the bath is run and the bubbles are flowing, I like to ensure I have some mood music and some candles lit around the bath, perhaps a nice glass of chilled wine, a facemask and away we go.  Failing that, a nice lay down on the bed with my iPad to watch an episode of Brothers and Sisters in total peace and quiet is also good.

Whichever way I choose to relax, a candle or two are always part of that process because I find them deeply relaxing and they help create a nice atmosphere.  Candles are one of my favourite items to be gifted, given or things to buy.  I was sent this Shabby Chic From the Flower Garden Gift set and it's such a lovely gift.

The set contains two votive candles nestled in these beautifully designed glass holders and a 50ml diffuser with fragrance notes of Cassis, Red Fruit, Jasmine, Lily, Rose and Musk.  The diffuser is really lovely, to use it you put the decorative flower head and reeds into the oil to absorb and diffuse the fragrance throughout your room, it is said to last up to 4 months and the scent really is just lovely, it isn't too overpowering but it is strong enough that you notice it.

The candles have a burn time of 10 hours which is really good and the scent that they give is again not too overpowering, but strong enough to be noticed.

I think this is a really lovely little set and it is still available from House of Fraser it would make a really lovely gift.

Isle of Light Candles

It isn't everyday you come across an 18 year old girl who has set up her own business, but I have and i have to tell you, Keeleigh is one very inspirational young woman, whom I am slightly Jealous of because she has managed to set up her own candle making company called Isle of Light Candle Company and I sense big things for this young lady!

Every Isle of Light candle is handmade from start to finish, and using the candles are made using Soya wax which isn't only great for the environment but unlike paraffin wax, can be good for you too! Paraffin wax is known to produce different toxic chemicals when burnt whereas Soy wax is 100% renewable and natural.  Soya Wax candles also burn at a slightly lower temperature which means the fragrances don't burn off as quickly.

Isle of Light Candle

Isle of Light Lily Spring Candle

Isle of Light Natural Candles

When I was asked if I would like to try one of the candles, I said yes, hello my name is Rachel and I am a candle addict!  The problem I had was choosing just one because there are so many amazing scents too choose from, whether you like oriental, woody, citrus, floral, fresh or seasonal fragrances, I can guarantee there is something for everyone.  In the end I opted for Lily Spring, which Keeleigh toldme had been created in memory of her Grandmother - what a tribute!.

"A great burst of floral scent with top notes of Bergamot, coriander and Peonies. Heart Notes of Lily, Jasmine, Rose and a full bodied base of Musk, patchouli, vanilla"

Is the description given and as soon as the box it arrived in was opened, the amazing floral scent was immediately noticeable and I couldn't wait to remove the wrapping and get it alight.  As you can see it comes inside this 3.5oz glass jar and it gives approximately 25 hours of burn time, which is really impressive.

Once alight, I cannot begin to tell you how fantastic the scent is, nothing about it is manufactured or fake, it smells as though I have a room full of fresh flowers and as the scent lingers throughout the house, it is every bit as wonderful within each room.

Priced at just £8 a candle, it gives exceptional value for money and i've currently got my eye on two more candles that I am itching to try.  To find out more about Isle of Light Candles, you can do so by going to the website.

To Keeleigh, I have to say thank you for sending me one of your candles, it was a delight and an honour and I am wishing you all the very best with your business.

Fenttiman Luxury Candles

The best description of a candle I have ever read is "Flickering, aromatic candles are truly something to savour. They wreathe a room with wonderful scents and decorate it with dancing light. Suffusing the air with mood-lifting fragrances. Whether you want to create an aura that's calm and contemplative or welcoming and sociable, these candles are a touch of luxury for every day". I couldn't put it better myself and that is exactly why I am totally obsessed with having candles lit and why I go through so many of them.

The Fenttiman range Candles are something that is new to me and when I was given the opportunity to try and test one to review, I jumped at the chance. Not a brand I had heard of before, I eagerly went off to read about them only to be really impressed with their website. Without a doubt, a very prestigious and luxurious brand, Fenttimans candles are handcrafted here in Britain and they have a beautiful array of fragrances and scents for both sexes and quite possibly most settings and events you can think of.

When this candle arrived, my reaction was "Wow" it was so beautifully packaged I actually didn't want to remove it from its packaging and here you can see why:

Fenttiman Luxury Candles

Each Fenttiman candle is said to sent in this signature purple box which is adorned with a white ribbon and you can see quite clearly the companys Coat of Arms clearly emblazoned on the box. The inside contents of the box is equally exquisite.

Fenttiman Luxury Candles

Fenttiman Luxury Candles

Set inside the box is this beautiful handcrafted candle in this glass holder. The scent I have is Orange and Lavender which I can only describe as being wonderfully relaxing. The actual description is as follows:

"The zesty and floral qualities of this candle make it perfect to rejuvenate and liven any home. A great candle for all year round"

This is one of those scents which does and will smell wonderful all year round, whether it is for those dark winter nights when you want to come home, close the curtains and forget the outside world, or whether you are home in the middle of the summer and want to relax from the sun outside.  Each candle has a burn time of around 45 hours and once they have been lit, it takes around 20-30 minutes for the full scent to become really noticeable and once the candle has been extinguished, the scent lingers for a good few hours.

I would happily purchase any one of the candles from the range and there is so much to choose from such as Lemongrass and Mint, Magnolia and Bay, Lime, Basil and Mandarin to name but a few.  There are also candles for the man in your life and again they have some amazing scents such as Nutmeg and Geranium which sounds equally wonderful.

You can find more about this range by clicking HERE.

Introducing Coal Harbour!

I first noticed Coal Harbour via a giveaway they were hosting on Instagram and from there I found them on Facebook and then on Twitter.  Described as follows:

"Coal Harbour is the home of luxury bathing products. We ensure that all our products will leave you feeling pampered, renewed and more than a little special"

Their website is full of mouthwatering products which look good enough to eat, when actually what you do is enjoy them in the bath and what I like about them is their four main founding principles which are:
  • ALL products must be handmade in Britain.
  • Must NEVER be tested on animals.
  • Should be kind to your skin.
  • Luxury does not mean expensive.
