Feral Cosmetics Ultra Satin Lipsticks

Hailing from Los Angeles is Feral Cosmetics, a cruelty-free and vegan beauty brand which can be found on Beauty Chamber here in the UK and their range consists of two different lip products.  The first is the Liquid Matte Lipsticks which I reviewed here and today I am sharing my thoughts on the Ultra Satin Lipsticks.

Described as being bold and highly pigmented these lipsticks are packaged inside a silver aluminium casing which has a magnetic closure which is I really like. The case itself is quite weighty with the brand name Feral clearly visible. There are five shades in total and they are fully opaque which I wasn't expecting at all. On the lips, they literally glide without dragging and they are really smooth and creamy not to mention long-lasting.  I love the difference between each of the five shades and they include:

  • Rapture is the perfect Autumn berry shade and I absolutely love it. There is a slight plum undertone to it and it is just divine.
  • Envy is the perfect blue toned red which makes your teeth look white.  I am still not confident enough to wear a red lipstick, but this one is just stunning.
  • Fetish is a beautiful pinky coral shade and it has Summer written all over it. Applies like a dream and is just a beautiful shade.
  • Rose By Goar is a slightly different name but it was exclusively designed and developed in collaboration with the World Famous Goar Avetisyan. Goar developed this colour for herself and for her to use on brides. It is a beautiful blush pink which would flatter most skin tones.
  • Euphoric is for me a bit of a lavender shade, not quite pink but not quite lilac either, it is somewhere in the middle. It dries quite matte, so if you have dry lips, it settles in the lines.

As you can see there is quite the array of shades and Rapture and Rose by Goar are the two I have been wearing the most.

I absolutely love Euphoric and wish it was the shade I could pull off and look cook, but sadly I don't.

Each one of these lipsticks retails for just £12.95 which is an absolute bargain and you can find out more information on brand right here.

Lime Crime Launches on Feelunique

Described as being a 'bold makeup brand for anyone who wants to express themselves unapologetically' Lime Crime has launched at Feelunique and there are so really intriguing products to get your hands on. Whether you like your bold, bright colours or something for neutral and natural, Lime Crime has something for everyone. With products for the lips, eyes, face, hair and brushes that make you ooh and ah, I was kindly sent a few products from the range and trust me, you won't be disappointed.

The first item is the much coveted Lime Crime Venus III Eyeshadow Palette, something I have seen all over my media feed. Housed inside a beautiful lavender and rose gold box featuring a depiction of Venus, it is made of quite a sturdy cardboard with magnetic closing and also features a mirror which takes up the entire lid, it is almost Kitschy in looks and very instagrammable. Featuring eight shades which are either matte, shimmering matte, glowing and metallic shades the tagline 'grunge gets pretty' couldn't describe this better any more perfectly.

The shades:
  • Dreamy – Mauve matte.
  • Beam – Lit lilac with pink shift (iridescent shimmer).
  • Heavenly – Rich rose gold with iridescent shimmer.
  • Rapture – Soft blush with a blue shimmer shift.
  • Ecstasy – Dried fig matte.
  • Paradise – Bright fuchsia with blue glow.
  • Bliss – Rosewood matte.
  • Beloved – Minky lavender brown metallic.
I tend to gravitate naturally towards heavenly, Rapture and Beloved because they are within my comfort zone but there is no denying that all of these shades are just stunning.

Priced at £34, I think this is a bit of a bargain.

Next comes Lime Crime Unicorn Lipstick in shade Glittercity which is exclusive to Feelunique. Described as being a 'glitter-packed lipstick which is infused and dipped in glitter, when used it is a stunning iridescent pink-violet sheen which looks so pretty, especially when the sun catches it.

Glittercity is made with sunflower and rosemary extracts, it glides on smooth and stays kiss-proof for hours and for me, this is the kind of lipstick which can be worn alone, it is pigmented enough but it is also a lipstick that I wear over the top of others to create that glittery shine. Presented inside a holographic Unicorn-decorated tube which is just as stunning as the outer box and it costs just £15.

Finally, I was sent a Lime Crime 'Try Me Kit' of Unicorn Hair Semi-Permanent Hair Colour which is perfect for anyone wanting to channel their inner unicorn.

With 27 shades listed, there are seven available from Feelunique to choose from and they could include:
  • Valentine - Crimson Red,
  • Leeloo - Traffic-stopping orange,
  • Bubblegum Rose - Warm Rose Pink,
  • Pony - Electric Violet Purple,
  • Anime - Candy Blue
Described as being semi-permanent vegan hair colour, it is also ultra-conditioning. it washes out gradually and is said to fade gracefully.  At times like this, I wish I could dye my hair of these amazing colours, but sadly I cannot.  Priced at £13 for 200ml.

For me, this has been such a great introduction to a brand I knew very little about and to find it is so affordable and available is a huge plus!

L'Occitane Aqua Réotier Collection

New from L'Occitane is a range which I loved the sound of as soon as it hit my inbox and I haven't been disappointed by the products I have been sent. The Aqua Réotier Collection is all based on the water of the Réotier spring in Provence, water which is enriched with minerals and has an especially high concentration of calcium, 10x richer in fact than other French thermal springs. L'Occitane explains that this high level of calcium is key for the skin to maintain its natural barrier function and to retain moisture and hydration.
L'Occitane Aqua Réotier Collection
Coming together, this collection is made up of 5 products and they are ideal to use together to make up what is referred to as being a Thirst-Quenching Routine - For a 24h Hydration. L'Occitance have cleverly put these ingredients into a routine for trying and it works likes this:
  • Cleanse with the Water Gel Cleanser
  • Prepare with the Moisture Prep Essence
  • Intensely hydrate with the Ultra-Thirst Quenching Gel or Cream
  • Refresh with the Fresh Moisturising Mist

I was kindly sent two products from the range, the first being the Aqua Réotier Moisture Prep Essence and the second is the Aqua Réotier Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream.

Aqua Réotier Moisture Prep Essence (£22) is described as being a pre-moisturiser with calcium-rich Réotier water to give skin a first layer of moisture and reinforce the hydrating properties of your skincare routine. Like a sponge, skin retains water better when it is already moist.

An essential step of the hydrating ritual, this Essence is a light gel-texture which turns to water on contact with the skin. L'Occitane state this is the product which acts as a pre-moisturiser to prepare the skin with the first layer of moisture and reinforce the hydrating properties of the Aqua Réotier Ultra Thirst –Quenching Gel and Aqua Réotier Thirst –Quenching Cream which follows on within the routine listed above.

If you have tried an Essence before, then you will know that you need just a small amount to pat onto your freshly cleansed skin. For me, using an Essence is something I have done for quite some time, using different brand options. From L'Occitane we have an Essence which is enriched with hydrating hyaluronic acid and calcium-rich Réotier water known for its properties to help skin maintain its hydration barrier and retain moisture. After using, it leaves the skin feeling hydrated and smooth to the touch.

Then we have the Aqua Réotier Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream (£28) which is described as being a fresh and comforting face cream that instantly recharges skin with water leaving it replenished, radiant and plumped.
L'Occitane Aqua Réotier Collection
As with the Essence, this cream is also enriched with hydrating hyaluronic acid and calcium-rich Réotier water to ensure the hydration of the skin is retained.

What I really love about this cream is how lightweight it is. Velvety to the touch, it has a non-greasy formula which has all the benefits of a gel. The formula acts like a magnet to hold in moisture and drench the skin all day long. I have combination skin, so dryness is often an issue and this cream is just an absolute pleasure to use. Once applied, my skin feels soft and smooth throughout the entire day and knowing my skin is hydrated, my makeup applies much better, my skin looks and feels so much better and have used this cream for a good few months now, I have had people ask why my skin looks so radiant!

As always with L'Occitane, the products are just incredible. Having been using just these two from the range and seeing how much of a difference they have made to my skin, makes me wonder what it would be like to use the entire Thirst-Quenching Routine!
