Filorga Oxygen Peel – Bring on a new radiant re-oxygenated skin for Spring

Filorga is a brand I have tried precious few products from, but what I have used, I have loved. Founded by Michael Tordjman in 1978, a leading doctor in skin aesthetics, Filorga skincare is formulated with innovative ingredients, unique technologies and scientific research.
Filorga Oxygen Peel – Bring on a new radiant re-oxygenated skin for Spring
Oxygen Peel is the newest product to come into my possession and it has quite the description:
Say goodbye to a dull complexion, Oxygen Peel is described as being a 3-in-1 product which is the first micro-peeling, oxygen-replenishing lotion. The innovative triple action formula resurfaces, plumps and re-oxygenates the skin.

Oxygen Peel is a daily treatment which should be applied to the skin in an evening after cleansing. Designed to combat the effects of environmental stressors and fatigue, the anti-ageing face lotion uses ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid which restores moisture and plumps the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Then there is what are referred to as Bio-Active Oxygen Sensors which stimulate the production of oxygen in cells, this in turn refines pores and smooths the skin surface.

Living in London there is no denying that the daily hustle and bustle of busy streets, pollution and smog do absolutely nothing for my skin.  If you are a regular tube dweller then you will know all too well what happens when you blow your nose!  Keen to ensure my skin does not have anything lurking on it for longer than possible, I've been trying a range of new products and this is one of them.  Oxygen Peel has what is called 'three actions' which are:
  • Action One: Resurfacing with gentle exfoliation. Using a cocktail of ingredients which Filorga refer to as 'the stars of aesthetic peels' you will find AHAs, including anti-wrinkle Glycolic Acid, radiance boosting Phytic Acid, pore refining Citric Acid, perfecting Salicylic Acid and complexion unifier Mandelic Acid.
  • Action Two: Hydration and Plumping. Using pure low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid which moisturises and plumps the skin whilst the signature FILORGA polyrevitalising complex NCTF® boosts cell regeneration to erase visible signs of ageing.
  • Action Three: Express reoxygenation and revitalisation. This lotion contains what Filorga call 'an Oxygen-Captor complex' and whilst it is quite scientific it is comprised of bioactive oxygen sensors which work to improve the diffusion and regulate the level of oxygen among the cells. This regulates the hypoxic stress phenomenon (which is caused by low levels of oxygen in our cells) and stimulates cytoglobin; the protein which delivers oxygen to the cells. What this does is give your skin a new lease of life and gives you a complexion which looks fresher and brighter.
What I like about this product is that despite some of the complex language used to describe what it does, it does do exactly what it says it will. So removing the science to make it easier to understand you will find that alongside the Hyularonic Acid and the Bio-Active Oxygen Sensors which stimulate the production of oxygen in cells, you will find that this product has got a mix of 6 micro peeling agents (gylcolic acid, phytric acid, citric acid, saliclic acid, mandelic acid and gluconolactone) which together work on reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, even out your complexion, improved radiance, reduce spots and gently resurface the skin.

Ideal to be applied all over the face and neck using a cotton wool pad (avoid eye contour area), it is gentle on the skin, it doesn't irritate or sting and it doesn't have an unpleasant smell.  To be used of an evening only, it is ideal for use after removing your makeup and before you apply serums and any other skincare, you simply swipe around your face and don't have to rinse it off.  After using, my skin feels silky soft and smooth to the touch, but the real magic comes the following morning when my skin not only looks incredible but feels it too.

FILORGA OXYGEN-PEEL 150ml is £20.00 and it can be found here in Marks & Spencer.

Lottie London Glitter Switch Transforming Liquid Lipstick

Lottie London has just released their Glitter Switch liquid lipsticks and they give Ciate's Glitter Flip quite the run for their money in the 'Dupe' wars.  Priced at £6.95 from Superdrug there are currently four shades available, but what is a Glitter Switch liquid lipstick? Exactly what it states that it is:
"This non-transfer liquid lipstick applies matte but magically switches into glitter with a quick press of the lips! It's as simple as press, pout & pop!"
The Lottie range currently has four shades available and depending on your preference, there is a shade for everyone to try.

I was kindly sent all four shades
  • Wanted - Which is a mauve pink,
  • High Roller - Best described as being a deep coral,
  • Dream On - My favourite of the four shades, which is a dark dusky pink
  • Killin' it - A pretty pinky purple.
Admittedly, I was dubious as to whether or not they would be as good as they are described and even if they hadn't, I really like all four shades, so would wear them anyway. However, this is fun in a tube, it works, they are pigmented, they are glittery and even better, they are easy to use:
  • apply an even coat to lips
  • leave to dry for 1 minute
  • press lips together and reveal the glittering magic

All four of these lipsticks are effortless to apply and the doe-foot applicator is really good at ensuring you get an even coverage of colour. They are a comfortable texture to wear both before becoming glittery and afterwards, it is worth noting that there is no feeling or glitter chunks being stuck to your lips, they are in no way uncomfortable and nor are they drying when worn.

Priced at £6.95 each, they are an absolute bargain and well worthy of being put into your basket the next time you venture into Superdrug.

J.One 'jelly pack' Multi-Functional Gel Primer

It is no secret that I am obsessed with Korean Beauty, anyone who reads my blog regularly will have noticed that not a week goes by when I don't have a Korean beauty product to share. Today it is the turn of J.One and the much coveted Jelly Pack Multi-Fictional Gel Primer, a product which was always out of stock whenever I tried to order it, even national newspapers reporting that not only did one tube sell every 15 seconds but in Korea over 5 million were sold within just three shows!

 J.One 'jelly pack'
J.One 'jelly pack' Multi-Functional Gel Primer
J.One 'jelly pack' Multi-Functional Gel Primer
J.One is the brainchild of Korean actress and influencer Ha Ji-Won, the J.ONE collection, which grows by the week, contains a variety of multi-functional products which have been designed for people on the go. On a mission to continue to develop formulas that save time without compromising on quality and performance, this innovative brand is, like many other Korean brands, ahead of the curve.

Described as being a multi-purpose anti-ageing mask and primer, it features a unique jelly formula that when applied, melts into the skin to brighten, plump and prep. Enriched with Fermented Black Tea and Peptides for anti-aging benefits, Hyaluronic Acid and Fullerene a carbon molecule which acts as a powerful antioxidant (also a Nobel prize winning ingredient) to hydrate as well as niacinamide to brighten and also Chamomile Flower Water to soothe and replenish.  All of these ingredients come together to infuse the skin with long-lasting moisture and hydration, whilst defending against pollution and environmental aggressors for a smoother, more refined complexion. As it is multi-functional there are two ways in which you can use it:

In the morning - After washing, cleansing and toner, to use J.One Jelly, you spread a thin layer onto the skin and gently pat it until it is fully absorbed.  A clear gel-like texture, it has a slightly tacky to the touch feel about it and having used it every day since it arrived and I just love how it feels. it grabs your foundation and grips it to the skin I have combination skin and that means dry cheeks, so most foundations can stick to that dry skin and ruin how my foundation sits. Not with this product, instead, that dry skin is non-existent as the foundation I apply sits on my skin as it does everywhere else on my face. Gone is the streaky look, this is literally a game changing product for me and I totally get the hype.

In the evening - Again you simply repeat the steps above with regards to completing your cleansing routine and again applying a thin layer, pat it onto the skin until it is absorbed and then leave it.  I am yet to give this a try because I am so impressed with how it works as a primer.

Now I know some of you will be thinking it is just a primer, and yes it is, but it is one of the best primers I have ever used in terms of makeup longevity. Just a few days ago I was up at 5am and working through the night until 9am the following morning, so having applied my makeup around 6am when I was ready to leave the house, come 10pm and having had a day of rushing around, my makeup was still in place, I hadn't suffered the mid-afternoon sliding off the face and with only a touch up of powder and lipstick needed, I am just so impressed.

Found online in most stores a 30ml tube will cost £20 (here) and a 50ml tube £32 (here).

Have you tried anything from J.One yet?
