Eylure X Emma Willis

If you are a fan of false lashes but you want false lashes which are less faff and more wow, then you will probably love the collaboration between Eylure and Emma Willis. If you have never heard of Emma Willis, she is a TV Presenter who is currently presenting The Voice and is also famed for presenting Big Brother and being married to Matt Willis from the band Busted.

Working with Eylure, Emma has created a range of natural, stress-free lashes that are easy to apply - perfect for mothers on the go much like herself and to add that cute factor the lashes have been named after her three children.

The first set of lashes are called Trix-a-Lashious and they are described as being a subtle flared lash with a gorgeous kick; this pair of wild & wispy corner & accent lashes will elongate the eye and add lashings of fullness.

Next is All The Aces and these are a full & feathery set of gorgeous accent and corner lashes that will give you dreamy fullness worn alone or double the definition when layered together.

The final set of lashes in this beautiful threesome are called Insta-belle and they are a really cute set of light, fluttery accent & corner lashes that can be worn alone or layered-up for extra volume.

When I wear lashes, which is only on special occasions, I want something that isn't going to take a member of Mensa to figure out how to apply them and nor do I want to be sat worrying I've glued my eyes shut or that an hour into my night out there is suddenly an eyelash on my cheek.  Even though these Eylure lashes come with an adhesive, ive found it to be quite effective and having been to a few blog events in the last week, the lashes have stayed in place the entire time, have been easy to remove and are in good enough condition that I would wear them again.

Priced at £6.95 each you can find the Eylure x Emma Willis lashes in Boots.

Caudalie Premier Cru Serum

I am a huge fan of Caudalie and have featured a few of their products and the story behind the brands' story starts in France in 1995 at the heart of a vineyard with Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas a husband and wife team. They believe the grapevine and grapes contain exceptional powers for the skin and they use the best ingredients to develop beauty products that are not only effective but also natural and luxurious

I absolutely love my serums and the Premier Cru collection from Caudalie comes with quite the description:
"Premier Cru is the "crème de la crème" of anti-ageing! Both luxurious & effective in equal measure, this exceptional formula delivers powerful results for the skin and reveals a more youthful complexion."
It utilises a brand new and patented technology which was developed in partnership with Harvard Medical School and it is called Vinergy Complex. Vinergy is a combination of Caudalie’s signature Vine Resveratrol and Betaine from plant extract that acts to firm, protect and soothe the skin whilst improving its ability to retain its moisture. These two ingredients combined together have incredible benefits which help the serum to smooth the appearance of wrinkles, brighten dull skin tones and firm the skin texture for a more defined facial structure. They work alongside six other key ingredients to help your skin which are:
  • Vine Resveratrol + Micro Hyaluronic Acid Complex – stimulates natural hyaluronic acid production to lift and plump the skin.
  • Viniferine – corrects and prevents dark spots for a brighter and more even complexion.
  • Grape-seed Polyphenols – provide the skin with antioxidant protection to defend itself against free radicals, the main cause of wrinkles.
  • Vinolevure® – reinforces the skin’s immune defenses.
  • Macro Hyaluronic Acid –  remains at the skin’s surface to reduce wrinkles by smoothing, hydrating and plumping.
  • White Peony Extract – evens skin tone and enhances the radiance of the skin.
Delicately scented with rose petals, this highly concentrated serum is also rich in hyaluronic acid.  I love everything about the serum and have been using it for well over a month now.  For me a serum is part of my daily skincare routine and this one is rich, it is luxurious, it melts onto and into the skin, it feels incredible as it is applied and it leaves your skin feeling just amazing afterwards. You only need a few drops of this serum, which I always apply after cleansing.

The entire Premier Cru Collection is packaged inside this beautiful golden pink packaging and it looks just stunning.  I recently started using the Eye Cream, Precious Oil and The Cream, so they will appear on the blog in a few weeks time when I have had a chance to try them all properly, but if they are as amazing as this serum, then I cannot wait to see how my skin feels.

You can find this Premier Cru Serum, which is priced at £90 at most major retailers online such as LookFantastic, SpaceNK, Fabled, FeelUnique, John Lewis and more.

Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection

Whether or not you are a subscriber, you might have noticed that there have been some intriguing changes made to Love Me Beauty and its whole concept. I love beauty boxes and Love Me Beauty has decided to change their role within the Beauty Box world and have instead decided to shake things up with Phase Zero Makeup.
Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection
Simply explained by Oliver Gauci
Phase Zero X LMB is a project where we’ve created a cruelty-free, luxury formula based brand at factory prices. As we are the manufacturers, we are going to sell straight to the consumer, without all the middlemen and huge markups! A lipgloss that retails at £12 for example, you’ll get for £3.50 with us
Phase Zero is exclusively available to Love Me Beauty and it works in a similar way to the Beauty Box Subscription. So, for a £5 monthly membership fee, you as the subscriber gain access to the Phase Zero Makeup collection at those much-discounted prices. The brand promises that they will deliver high quality, cruelty-free makeup products that contain luxury formulas but instead of costing exorbitant amounts, you will instead get them at factory prices, for example, retail for £12 but members pay only £3.50. If you don't want to be tied into a contract, then you don't have to be, you can still buy the products for their RRP.  The month of February sees the Phase Zero Makeup X LMB project launch with a collection of lip glosses, matte lips and lip toppers which I am sharing with you today.
Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection
The collection I have features three lipglosses, four matte lipsticks and two lip toppers and all of the lip products are packaged in plastic tubes, which all look the same and are best identified from the little stick on the bottom of the tube. The plastic tubes contain 8ml of product, come with a standard doe foot applicator and there is a slight Vanilla scent to them.

The three lipglosses I have are the shades

  • Dark Burgundy which is a beautiful rich aubergine shade
  • Baby Pink which is a really pretty nude pink
  • Postbox Red which as the shade name gives away is a stunning bright red.
I am really picky when it comes to lipglosses because I cannot stand anything that is icky, sticky or tacky on my lips, you know the feeling that you have rubbed your lips across a block of lard? Yeah, that feeling. Thankfully these glosses do not have too thick a formula and nor are they sticky but they do contain Sunflower oil, so are really hydrating and quite lightweight for a gloss.

So far from my using them, Dark Burgundy is the hardest one to work with and is a bit streaky, but it works fine over a lipstick. Postbox Red is not really my shade at all but it is really pigmented and Baby Pink is more of a nude and not so much of the pink and again it can be worn alone or over lipstick.

The liquid lipsticks are matte shades and all four of them dry without flaking, feathering or even running.  The four shades that I have are:
  • Classic Red which is, again as the shade states a very classic shade of red
  • Pink Suede which is one of my favourite shades and it is a pink nude
  • Chai Latte is best described as being a brown nude
  • Gingerbread is a deep brown/red which is said to warm your complexion.
All four of these liquid lipsticks are pigmented and deliver an even coat onto the lips in just a few swipes.

They dry down quite quickly and are really comfortable to wear and last for hours once applied.

The final two products within the collection are two lip toppers and they are both just stunning and my favourite products from the Phase Zero Lip Collection.
  • Holographic Girl is everything you think it will be and is definitely one for the Unicorn lovers with its pink/blue hues
  • Prosecco Kiss is my absolute favourite product from this collection and it is just stunning with its shimmery rose gold shade
What I really love about these lip toppers is that they can be born with or without lipstick and the formula is non-sticky and dries quickly so it is perfect for keeping your lipstick in place.

Again neither of them are sticky and tacky when applied and they pretty much work alone or with your lipstick.

I am really intrigued as to where the Phase Zero x LMB project will go over the next few months, I think the Lip Collection is an incredible start and a great introduction to what the entire project is about.
