Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box Unboxing and Review

A few months back I shared the news that Aldi was to have a beauty box on sale featuring some of the products from their Lacura Range and today I can share that box with you!
Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box Unboxing and Review
Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box Unboxing and Review
I make no secret of the fact that I am a huge fan of the Lacura Range and have in my time come across some absolutely amazing products, some of which are featured in this box. Better still, I was fortunate enough to to attend the Aldi Christmas Press Day and there is so many products I have to share with you, once the embargo is lifted.

So, this Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box was priced at just £11.99, and my local store normally have a great selection of newly launched products in the middle aisle, but this box went as soon as the store opened and by the time I got there, not one was left. Added to that, as soon as it went online, it also sold out within 24 hours. But I do happen to have one of the boxes to share with you and I hope this will be the first of many beauty boxes from Aldi going forward.

Inside the floral patterned box is a product card which tells you all about each of the detailing products inside.

The first product inside the Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box is the Aldi Lacura Too Legit! Mascara, which I have already features on my blog. As you can see, Too Legit has been clearly been inspired by Benefit They’re Real! Mascara.

This mascara, which pops up in Aldi regularly happens to be the brands best-seller and it is priced at £5.99.

The next product is a fragrance and it is the Aldi Lacura Dark Blossom Eau de Parfum, in a mini 25ml size.

This fragrance is said to have been inspired by YSL Black Opium, a scent I happen to be a huge fan of. From Aldi Dark Blossom has no fancy packaging, it is simple a black glass bottle with purple writing and in store will be priced around £4.99 usually.

The next product inside the Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box, is something you could say has been inspired by Pixi Glow Tonic! The Aldi Lacura Healthy Glow Glycolic Toner is a 5% glycolic toner designed to exfoliate the skin to leave you with that natural healthy glow.
Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box Unboxing and Review
This is a 75ml bottle, so the perfect size for trying it but in store and online, a full size bottle is 250ml and is costa just £3.99.

Next inside the Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box is the Aldi Lacura H2O Overnight Mask and this is a 25ml trial size.
Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box Unboxing and Review
I have already featured the full size version of this mask on my blog which costs just £4.99 and remarked that it has been inspired by Laneige with their Water Sleeping Mask.  What I live above about this mask is how it feels on the skin, firstly it is wonderfully hydrating without being sticky or tacky and it is a great addition to any nighttime routine.

The final product within this box is the Aldi Lacura Soothing Concentrate 30ml. Priced £4.99. This serum features over 99% natural ingredients and it is suitable for use on all skin types.
Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box Unboxing and Review
Designed to help hydrate and calm skin, it is such a lovely serum to use. A full review of this serum is on my blog.

So there you have the low-down of everything included within the Aldi Lacura Loves Beauty Box and if you see it back on sale, for just £11.99 it is an absolute bargain!

As I have said, there is a whole lot more to come from Aldi across their skincare and makeup range and having had a sneak peak, I cannot wait to share some of those products with you! In the meantime, there will be an Advent Calendar launching in a few weeks time, I’ve seen it in real life and it is absolute enormous, heavy and full of amazing products!

Look Incredible August Deluxe Beauty Box 2018

Can you believe we are racing towards the end of August already? As the Christmas themed items hit my inbox, there is still an abundance of non-festive items to share and the first one is the Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box which, if you mind the pun, is INCREDIBLE.

If you want a beauty box which features some incredible brands, many of which are high-end brands, then this subscription box is more than worthy of its price. At £35 this box is incredible value but if you want something a little more purse friendly, then there is the Standard Box which costs £25.  However, if you want something out of this world, then there is the My Secret Box, the premium subscription Look Incredible have available and it costs £65.
Look Incredible August Deluxe Beauty Box 2018

The Look Incredible August Deluxe Beauty Box 2018 features four incredible brands and every item included is makeup, which is something I know will appeal to some of you reading this.  The brands included are Dior, NARS, Benefit and Too Faced which means for £35 you're laughing!

The first item out of my box comes from Benefit and it is They're Real Mascara (RRP £21.50). This award winning mascara is one of my absolute favourites, though I prefer to use the formula with the wand from Rollerlash, but that's just me.
Look Incredible August Deluxe Beauty Box 2018

A mascara which is described as being intensely volumising it also lengthens, curls, lifts and separates the lashes and all without smudging. I always ensure I have a tube of this mascara in my stash, so I am pleased to see it in this box.

The next item in the box comes from Too Faced and it is the Pure Gold Ultra Fine Face & Body Glitter (RRP £17). Described as being an ultra-fine, loose glitter formula that’s guaranteed to instantly amp up the glamour factor of any look, it can be used as an eyeshadow, highlighter, lip topper, or even body shimmer with a bit of glitter glue.
Look Incredible August Deluxe Beauty Box 2018
It is also infused with real gold to give it that extra bit of sparkle and with the festive season fast approaching, I can imagine this will come in very handy!

The third item in the box comes from NARS and it is the Dual Intensity Blush (RRP £30) and it is just stunning.  Nestled inside the black NARS packaging, I have the shade Adoration and it consists of two shades - A light sparkling pink and a hot sparkling pink and together they can be used wet or dry depending on how pigmented you want the pinks to be.
Look Incredible August Deluxe Beauty Box 2018
I like the idea of using the lighter shade more as a highlighter and I am looking forward to seeing how they turn out.   I love the embossing of both shades and I love that the compact also features a mirror.

Finally, in this incredible box, we have Dior.  Never have I had a beauty box which features anything from Dior and here we have a Dior Addict Hydra Gel Core Lipstick (RRP £28).  I have the shade Purity (138) but there are other options too so each box might be different.  Dior describes this lipstick as being 'breakthrough' because it has what is referred to as a hydra-gel core and a top coat that creates a mirror shine effect.

Purity is a peachy nude shade which I hadn't expected to like but it is so pretty and hydrating that I have been wearing it a lot over the last week.  As always with Dior lipsticks, the packaging is just stunning, screams luxury and always makes me want more!

So there you have all the products within the August Look Incredible Box and isn't it just amazing? I would love to know if you spot any of your favourite products!

Latest In Beauty | Sunday Times Style Beauty Box

If you haven't seen or heard about the latest beauty box collaboration between Latest in Beauty and Sunday Time Style to celebrate the 2018 Style Beauty Awards, then you might very well have missed out on getting your hands on what is a fantastic box and all for just £25.

Choosing SIX products from a total of 67 was quite the challenge and it was one I dithered over for some time before finally being lucky enough to get the ones I really wanted to try. Brand choices included Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, The Body Shop, Bourjois, Jessica, Elemis, Philip Kingsley, Real Techniques, Dr Dennis Gross, Caudalie, Lancome, Clinique and many more. Some products would be snapped up just as soon as the stock was replenished and even now there are still some amazing products to put together to make up a fabulous box.  I really wanted to try the Dr Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Moisture Cushion, which I have heard and read a lot about, but it was out of stock when I made my purchase.  Instead, this is what I chose for my box:

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips in shade Pin Up Pink (rrp £24) - This is described as being a medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and whilst pink wouldn't usually be a shade I would opt for, what I like about this particular shade is the warmness.

With a satin finish, the mousse-like texture is lightweight when applied and is pigmented enough that it covers the lips evenly.

Real Techniques Powder Bleu Powder Brush (rrp £22) - This is one set of Real Techniques brushes that I don't own. I am pretty sure I have every other collection, so without question, this is one brush I needed to add to my stash.

This brush uses synthetic bristles engineered to perform as well as blue squirrel hair and has a large tapered head designed for flawless application of powder bronzers and highlighters.

The Body Shop Spa of the World Tahitian Tiare Bath & Shower Oil-In-Gel (rrp £7) - It was the description of this bath and shower oil-in-gel which sold it to me - "Everyone loves a pamper day at a luxurious spa as a special treat, which, let’s face it, doesn’t happen often. When it comes to a moment of pure escapism – which should definitely be a regular thing – maybe all you really need is a nice hot shower in the comfort of your own home, with this extra-special Spa of the World Bath & Shower Oil-in-Gel".

For me, when stress takes hold, the one place I find to calm down is in water - the bath, shower, the sea or even a swimming pool. Using monoi oil, a blend of tiaré blossom extract and coconut oil from Tahiti alongside Community Trade honey from Ethiopia and Community Trade coconut oil from Samoa, I am sure you can imagine just how divine this product is.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand in Light (rrp £29) - Ever since these launched I have been fascinated by the cushion applicator, which makes it looks really easy to use.

With the shade light being the perfect shade for me to try it is described as being the perfect lightweight, blendable, buildable formula to create a well-contoured face.

The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Facial Mask (rrp £17) - Enriched with matcha green tea from Kakegawa, Japan, dandelion extract and soul-soothing Community Trade aloe vera from Mexico.

This mask is described as being indulgently creamy this 100% vegan mask works to deeply purify, gently exfoliate as it cleans your skin from the weekly build-up of city pollutants and everyday impurities.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm (rrp £9) - A product I have wanted to try for some time now. Described as being a powerful, deep cleansing balm, for those who love a double cleanse, this balm is the ideal second step as it dissolves makeup, daily grime and pollutants, leaving skin intensely cleansed, nourished and renewed for a glowing complexion.
Latest In Beauty | Sunday Times Style Beauty Box
Using luxurious rose and mimosa waxes which are infused with nourishing elderberry, starflower and optimega oils and supercharged with anti-ageing algae, padina pavonica. It smells just incredible and I cannot wait to see if it lives up to my expectations.

As you might imagine, I am absolutely chuffed with this box and am delighted I was able to get my hands on some amazing products.  In total, this box has an RRP of £108 and I paid just £25.

Did you manage to grab anything for yourself from this collaboration?
