TOYL Give and Receive November Edition

The November edition of the TOYL Box has arrived and it is once again, an incredible box, which I pretty much say every single month.  TOYL, or Time Of Your Life is a beauty box subscription service that has been created specifically for women over 40 who want beauty confidence from the products they buy.  This month, the box is titled 'Give and Receive'.

First out of the box comes from the fabulous Murad, a brand I am a huge fan of. The product in question is the Targeted Wrinkle Corrector.

Described as working like an instant filler, it uses bioavailable hyaluronic acid which floods those wrinkles and fine lines with hydration to plump, smooth and reduce wrinkle intensity.  There is also the inclusion of elasticity-boosting hexapeptide which helps the skin to bounce back from lines triggered by facial expressions, plus there is the plant-derived squalane which prevents moisture loss, so it helps the skin resist future wrinkles.  One of the few Murad products I haven't tried and I cannot wait to report back on how amazing it is!

The second product comes from The Organic Pharmacy and it is the Hyaluronic Acid Serum.

As the warmer weather turns colder, I am sure mine isn't the only skin which really reacts in those first few weeks by feeling drier than usual, so I am all about the serums and oils.  This serum is really lightweight on the skin and is non-sticky. Made from 95.8% organic ingredients and uses ingredients that keep your complexion hydrated and glowing. So by using the benefits of triple molecular weight 0.2% Hyaluronic Acid, this formula works to plump the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while at the same time, working to ensure the skin maintains appropriate moisture levels.

The third product comes from Aromatherapy Associates and it happens to be one of my favourite products, the Revive Bath and Shower Oil.

This oil blend is just joy in a bottle and is perfect for this time of year. With its blend of Grapefruit oil, Rosemary and Juniper, you have a complete mood uplift in a bottle. I always apply these oils to my skin before bathing or showering, taking the time to let those oils work their magic not only on my skin, but on my senses. You can also use it on the skin once you have stepped out of the shower and, if you are planning on having a chilling weekend with a book or a film, then it is magical.

The next product that is in this box comes from Percy and Reed we have the Shine and Fragrance Spray.

Designed for all hair types, this hair perfume and glossing mist has a lightweight formula which delivers particle shine, giving instant luminosity to the hair. This spray is infused with a bespoke fine fragrance from the notes of rhubarb, rose, peony and honey which come together and leaves your hair smelling beautifully fresh and floral. Then we have the final product in this month's box and it comes from Bondi Sands and it is their Gradual Tanning Milk.

I am definitely not a fan of fake tan, but there are times when I will give a gradual tan product a try.  Described as being a radiance-boosting tanning milk that delivers an illuminating, sun-kissed glow. With its innovative, dual-action formula, it uses the blends of both aloe vera and vitamin E to help nourish and hydrate skin which gives a streak free, natural looking finish which is said to be perfect for everyday use with a delicious cocoa butter scent.

TOYL - The Ultimate Body Box

The July TOYL Beauty Box has arrived and it is titled The Ultimate Body Box!

Inside this box you will find six body care products which includes scrubs, cooling leg gels, rich body creams, pedicure treats, renewing hand cream and an eco alternative to deodorant!

This body gel works to help ease sore and aching muscles after a long day at work or an intense workout. It uses the essential oils from Rosemary, Black Pepper, Lavender and Ginger which work to instantly cool and warm those aches and pains while at the same time hydrating and softening the skin.

The second product is from a brand I’ve never heard of until now and it is the Stone Street Soaphouse with their Geranimo Wholesome Body Cream.

Natural and cruelty free, this body cream promises to hydrate with no greasy feeling. Using nourishing oils such as jojoba, argan, and almond it has a wonderfully smooth texture and the most wonderful geranium scent, it might just encourage me to use the full tub.

Up next from Mudmasky is a product I’ve never even given a thought to needing, but it intrigues me and that is the Saved by the Scrub for Underarms.

This 100% vegan underarm scrub used 5 natural ingredients to keep your armpits fresh for up to 16 hours. The formula uses Premium Kaolin Clay whose job it is to suck out the bacteria and remove dead skin cell and re-used coffee power to neutralise smells. 

The next product is from This Works with their Stress Check CBD Body Polish.

This scrub is described as being a natural exfoliator that utilises lactic acid and pumice to buff away dead skin and daily debris. The combination helps to not only decongest clogged pores but to also reveal a skin tone that is more even with a softer texture and looking more visibly radiant. You will also find a hemp-derived pure CBD Isolate alongside squalane and vitamin E which aid in replenishing moisture, then there is a soothing blend of essential oils -ylang-ylang, lavender and neroli, all of which help you to relax, unwind and de-stress.

The fifth product is the Dr. PAWPAW Age Renewal Hand Cream and you can never have too many tubes of hand creams in my view.

Lightweight in texture, this hand cream is formulated with a botanical blend that is designed for hands which are dry, dull or ageing skin. TOYL Night Workers Beauty Box

This months TOYL Beauty Box is titled ‘Night Workers’ and it features products from some amazing brands to work their magic whilst you sleep.

I am a big fan of products that I can apply to my skin to help it to recover, de-stress and let me wake up with my skin looking radiant.

The first item out of the box is one of my favourite products from Alpha-H and it is their Liquid Gold Midnight Reboot Serum (£74.99).

I have a full review of the serum on my blog if you want to read about it in more detail. Using a combination of Glycolic Acid (14%) and Granactive Retinoid (1%) in an industry first, this serum works to leave your skin visibly smoother, plumper as well as to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stimulate collagen product and reduce redness to name just a few benefits. With its lightweight formula, this cream is packed with powerful microalgae actives which are scientifically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles whilst boosting moisture, giving skin a plump and smooth texture. The Ultimate Hair Spa Box by TOYL - May Edition

This months TOYL box is themed around hair, specifically getting your hair into its best shape of its life. As we get older our hair changes - it might be greyer than we hoped, thinner, drier and often other problems occur as our body changes.

For me, my hair has always been combination, much like my skin. Greasy roots and dry ends, when I’m stressed my scalp reacts and whilst I try to use as little heat as possible, I’ve also switched to sleeping on a silk pillowcase and dry shampoo is my best friend!

It uses Wheat Proteins which work to strengthen and protect as well as too increase hydration and elasticity. Coconut and vegetable extracts to moisturise, condition and protect as well as Cashmere Amino Acids which are described as being are almost identical to human hair so are absorbed deeply helping replenish the voids in damaged hair, rehydrate the hairshaft and protect it from further shrinking.

The second product comes from Living Proof and your box will either contain the shampoo or conditioner from the Full collection. 

I have the shampoo in my box and it is described as being gentle yet effective at thoroughly cleansing the hair and priming it by removing residue and buildup.  Ideal for fine, flat hair, this shampoo uses a whole array of ingredients such as propriety amino cleansing complex which gently cleans the hair, removing dirt and debris build-up, without stripping natural oils. An infusion of amaranth peptides to support a fuller-looking appearance by plumping the fibres, alongside phytantriol which helps to strengthen and protect the colour vibrancy of chemically treated hair.

The third product comes from WeAreParadoxx with the Repair 3-in-1 Conditioner. Priding themselves on being 99% natural, WeAreParadoxx is a always greeted warmly in our house.

This 3-in-1 conditioner is quite the multi-tasker as it works as a conditioner, leave-in treatment and finishing balm. Using the likes of coconut oil to strengthen and hydrate, Carrageen Moss to fortify and condition plus Matcha Green Tea which adds strength and fullness. After using, your hair should feel soft, look glossy and be frizz free!

The final product for your hair is the one I was most intrigued by! From DrPawPaw, the brand who has those cute lip balms, we have the It Does It All, 7-in-1 Hair Treatment Styler.

This product is 95% natural, vegan-friendly and has a whole lot of things it claims to do, which includes:

Perfect for using after exfoliating and it needs just ten minutes of your time - perfect for using whilst you have a hair mask on! TOYL The Ultimate Colour Correct Box

This months TOYL box is going to take some beating, I’m just putting it out there before I share the contents of this box. Called The Ultimate Colour Correct Box, it is a great little Easter offering.

As we get older there is no question that our skin tone gets more uneven. I’ve had mine properly looked at and the redness in my cheeks was terrible. Instead, this molecule creates a weightless, invisible shield over each hair strand so your hair stays cleaner for longer and it also helps to eliminates frizz by blocking humidity, it polishes and protects hair strands and finally smooths the hair without weighing it down.

The second product comes from Gatineau with their Hydra Aura Eclat de Soie (75ml - RRP £49.00).

Described as being a water fresh gel, it used ingredients such as Barbary Fig flow extract, Shea Butter and Seaweed Actives which not only promote lasting hydration for the skin but also works to leave it soft, glowing and silky smooth. There are three different ways in which this product can be used. Firstly as your daily moisturiser, secondly as a booster for your face, which you can layer it over your serum or under your chosen moisturiser or finally as a booster for your neck and decollete which you again layer over your chosen neck product.

The third product within this box is the one which intrigues me the most! The 111Skin Intensive Beauty Dose (90 capsules RRP £125).

Daily skincare supplements that help support a healthy-looking complexion, they are Enriched with potent antioxidants, the 111SKIN Intensive Beauty Dose Supplements are designed to help nourish skin from the inside out and support your topical skincare routine. Each one of the capsules are filled with a botanical array of ingredients. Vitamin C, liquorice root extract and Sicilian blood orange fruit extract deliver nutrients to promote nourished and balanced-looking skin. I am really looking forward to giving these a try!

The final product in this box comes from Origins and it is their High-Potency Night-A-Mins.

Described as being an Oil-Free Resurfacing Cream with Fruit-Derived AHAs. This cream works as a moisturiser that doubles as a powerful sleeping peel to hydrate and revitalise, and at the same time, it gives you a perfectly looking glow. TOYL March Edit - The Caring Box

This month, the TOYL Beauty Box is called The Caring Box and it is quite an incredible box this month for a number of reasons.  Not only is it packed with some incredible brands and their products to give you an excuse (not that we need one) to indulge in some amazing self-care but because by purchasing this box, you will also be supporting Safe Lives. Safe Lives is a charity which is dedicated to eradicating domestic abuse for men, women and children and it is well worth having a read into what this charity does, why and how it does.

TOYL is a monthly subscription box and it costs just £35 a month, but, unlike other subscription boxes I’ve tried, you always have the option to pause your subscription and pick it up again when you are ready. So if there is a box you don't feel is right for you, you can hold that subscription and continue when you spot something you love, which in my case has been every month so far!  Once you see the contents of this box, I am pretty sure that you will not be pausing your subscription and if you haven't yet subscribed, then I am sure you will.

The first product out of this box comes from Elemis and is quite possibly a product that needs not introduction, but it will get one.  The Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm (full size) is the brands best-selling product.

As a cleansing balm, it is not only designed to dissolve makeup, dirt and oil from your skin, but, because it is enriched with a nourishing blend of ingredients they work to deeply cleanse the skin leaving it feeling smooth, hydrated and glowing. The key ingredients within this balm are:

• Padina Pavonica promotes skin elasticity and cell vitality.
• Mimosa Flower Wax hydrates and retains moisture in the skin.
• Starflower Oil maintains moisture levels.
• Almond, Coconut, & Shea Oils nourish and condition.

The second product comes from a brand I know very little about but have seen on my social media feed and it is the Strivectin TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream +. 

Designed to visibly tighten, lift and  firm while smoothing horizontal neck lines, it also works to target what is referred too as a crepey texture and correct the look of uneven skin tone on the décolleté.  Within this cream, which has a fairly thick texture, you will find three main ingredients:

• Gravitite-CF Lifting Complex - Improves elasticity and provides visible lift
• NIA-114 technology - Strengthens the skins barrier and supercharges the performance of other ingredients 
• Botanical Brightening Complex - Helps even skin tones and improves the look of discolouration.

Designed to be used both morning and evening, you need just a thin layer of the cream which you massage into the skin with an upward motion.

The third product in this box really intrigued me. From Skyn Iceland comes the Dissolving Microneedle Eye Patches.

Described as being a wake up call for the eyes, as described the dissolving microneedles are slightly prickly but not ouchy and they dissolve into the skin to help tighten and tone crepey areas while smoothing the appearance of wrinkles. Again, packaged with amazing ingredients, including:

• Hyaluronic Acid - two varsities which work to give the skin optimal skin absorption, this hydrating powerhouse—known for its unmatched moisture-binding capabilities—helps to counteract the drying effects of environmental stressors. 
• Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 This age-fighting peptide has a relaxing effect on the look of fine lines around the eyes that can help delay the onset of deep creases. 
• Undaria Pinnatifida Extract and Corallina Officinalis Extract Revitalizing natural extracts with plumping capabilities to help smooth crow’s feet and restore suppleness, while improving elasticity and tone. 
• Heptapeptide-7 A skin-firming peptide VIP that helps combat the signs of crepey skin. 
• Icelandic Complex a proprietary natural blend that replenishes the nutrients that stress depletes. Sourced from Iceland’s pure and potent environment, it contains pollution-free Icelandic Glacial Water with 6 essential minerals to hydrate and detoxify skin, as well as Pure Molecular Oxygen which delivers energy into the skin’s layers to bring back a youthful glow.

It is advised that there patched should be worn for at least 2 hours, or if you can, overnight for maximum absorption. There might be a Slight redness after using but it does disappear quickly.

Then finally there is not one, but two tubes of the Emma Hardie Moringa Renewal Treatment Mask, of which I have a full review in a previous post.
