Lush Beauty Advent Calendar 2022 News

One of the most talked about Advent Calendars of 2021 came from Lush, mainly because there were a few options to choose from depending on your budget.  Many of you will be pleased to hear that there is to be a 2022 Lush Advent Calendar.

Temple Spa Let's Concentrate Skin Glowing Serum

The newest launch from Temple Spa landed in my lap a few months ago and I absolutely love it, if I didn't love In The Beginning Cleansing Balm and Repose as much as I do, then this would be my favourite product from the brand.
Temple Spa Let's Concentrate Skin Glowing Serum
Temple Spa Let's Concentrate Skin Glowing Serum
Let's Concentrate is described as being a powerful, serum-juice-concentrate that melts deep into your skin to reveal a clearer, smooth, toned and glowing complexion.  With its gel-like texture, this serum also works to reduce the appearance of age spots, blemishes and hyper-pigmentation and I have to mention that it smells just absolutely delightful - think fresh and zesty!
The clever formula delivers a daily dose of vitamin C, plus potent alpha arbutin that work together to brighten and boost the skin, helping to diminish the appearance of scarring, open pores and hyperpigmentation. In addition, blemish-fighting antioxidants of zinc and magnesium combine with the skin-loving sodium hyaluronate and orange oil to reveal soft, bare-faced confidence for you and your beautifully radiant, revived and rejuvenated skin.
Packaged in a glass bottle with dropper applicator, this serum is soft and smooth without being greasy or tacky and it is packed full of incredible ingredients which includes:
  • Ascorbyl Glucoside - This is a new form of Vitamin C whuch has smaller, super-charged particles designed to reach the deeper layers of the skin quicker
  • Sodium Hyaluronate - This ingredient delivers hydration to those deeper layers on the skin which leaves the skin feeling soft and supple
  • Orange Essential Oil - Not only does this give the serum this most wonderful scent but it for the skin, it is beneficial in helping to maintain the health, appearance and texture of the skin by helping to promote radiance, clarity and smoothness
  • Lemon Fruit Water - a natural exfoliant which contains AHAs to help even out the skin tone, texture and it works to reduce the appearance of age spots and pigmentation
  • Alpha Arbutin - an antioxidant which works in partnership with Vitamin C to enhance its ability to target dull skin and hyperpigmentation
Add to all of those, this serum also includes Zinc, Magnesium, Manganese and potassium PCA, which might sound like a chemistry lesson but together, these ingredients are said to energise the skin to give it a boost, especially when it is running on empty and all of these minerals work alongside Vitamin C to replenish and balance the skin too.
Temple Spa Let's Concentrate Skin Glowing Serum
This serum should be used after cleansing and toning, the dropper helps to manage the number of droplets needed and then you simply massage the serum into and onto your face and neck but, what makes this serum different from others you might have used is that you can also apply it to target specific areas of concern like age spots or blemishes anywhere on the face, neck and hands as well.

Priced at £50 for 30ml, this serum is just delightful and I have loved using it.

Disciple Clean & Serene

New to my skincare collection is Disciple and having seen the brand all over my social media feed for a very long time with people raving about it, I was delighted to be asked if I would like to try a few products.
Disciple Clean & Serene
Cleansing just happens to be my favourite skincare step of my routine and whether it is a balm, gel or even an oil, I love finding new ones to try.

The brand if you didn’t know, was created for stressed-out skin by a lady called Charlotte Ferguson who is a psychotherapist and fountain of skin knowledge. Disciple skincare as a brand is described as being perfect for addressing inflammatory skin issues, including blemishes, eczema and premature ageing. It is so good that it is hand-blended in small batches from the best raw botanical ingredients, these adaptogen-rich formulas work not only on the surface of the skin but internally too, improving your body’s ability to adapt to stress and helping to rebalance hormones.

To that end, the first product I am sharing with you is Clean & Serene, a name that really does describe this beauty perfectly.
Your stress-free, gentle daily face wash. A mini morning detox, without stripping the skin. SLS-free and packed with rejuvenating Melon juice, detoxifying Grapefruit plus naturally occurring Vitamin C from Papaya fruit to brighten and tone.
Packaged in this most brilliant emerald green glass bottle, the daily cleansing gel is gentle on the skin, doesn’t leave it feel stripped or taut after using and as it seeks to remove overnight buildup and sebum, it’s a delight to use.
Disciple Clean & Serene
It is infused with a whole host of amazing fruit derived ingredients such as melon, grapefruit and papaya extracts, all of which offer their antioxidant powers designed to help boost the skin’s resilience to environmental aggressors as well as to rejuvenate, detoxify, brighten and tone.

To use, the advice is to massage into face and neck and then add warm water to activate, at this point, the texture of this wash works it’s magic to remove everything in its path, leaving the skin feeling silky smooth and thoroughly cleansed.

Priced between £18 and £21 for 200ml, you can find Disciple Clean & Serene via sites such as Lookfantastic and Cult Beauty as well as Disciple themselves.
