What I love about all of these boxes from Space NK is that they are a great opportunity to try new brands, brands you have had your eye on, brands that might be out of your budget or ones you might have never thought of trying.
Quench thirsty skin with this specially curated, five-step hydration set. From cleanser to mask and everything in between (including a skin-kind daily peel to target dryness), this handpicked edit is brimming with moisture-boosting benefits to leave skin feeling plump and looking refreshed.
The description alone has me hooked and priced at £125, Space NK are giving you a box of fabulous products which have a combined value of £331 which is more than double the cost of the box.

So here are the contents:

  • Biossance Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil (200ml)
  • Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Daily Peel (3-Pack)
  • Dr. Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum (30ml)
  • Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream (50ml)
  • Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Mask (30ml)
This box, as you can see have some amazing products and I have had my eye on the Biossance Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil for some time now alongside wanting to try something from Dr Barbara Sturm and this Hyaluronic Serum on its own is worth £235 which is just insane!

This box is on sale now with Space NK and it is one worth grabbing whilst it is still in stock, because with these brands and their products, I don't expect it to last long!

REN Glow and Protect Serum

The newest launch from REN Skincare is the Glow And Protect Serum and I have been raving about it since the day it arrived. For me, REN can do no wrong, there isn't a single product I have disliked and I have tried a lot!
REN Glow and Protect Serum
The REN Glow and Protect Serum is described as being a Superfruit serum with antioxidants to help brighten and even skin tone and it sits within REN's Radiance category alongside the likes of Ready, Steady, Glow Daily AHA Tonic, Overnight Glow Dark Spot Sleeping Cream, AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum and a whole host of other products, including one I have my eye on - Satin Perfection BB Cream.
A lightweight superfruit serum clinically proven to significantly brighten and even skin in just 14 days, with protective antioxidants to help protect skin from damage caused by free radicals.
As always with REN, their product is always clinically proven and in the case of this serum, it is proven to visibly reduce the signs of photoageing - this includes things like fine lines and wrinkles, dullness and pigmentation and it does it all without the irritation.  If ever you are unsure about a REN product, it is worth looking at what the clinical studies show, in the case of this Glow and Protect Serum:
  • 95% skin is smoother after 14 days*
  • 91% skin looks brighter after 14 days*
  • 91% agreed skin texture felt less rough after 14 days*
  • 84% complexion has a natural glow after 14 days*
  • 88% complexion looks healthier after 14 days*
  • 96% skin feels more supple after 14 days*
*Consumer study conducted on 85 men and women

So what makes this serum just a little bit mega? Well it combines three types of Vitamin C alongside moisture-boosting Glycogen and Hyaluronic Acid to give that ultimate radiant glow.

Key Ingredients:

  • 3 types of Vitamin C to brighten, even skin tone, reduce pigmentation
  • Hyaluronic acid to hydrate, smooth and plump the skin.
  • Kakadu Plum which contains 100x more Vitamin C than oranges, thus helping brighten and even skin tone,
  • Dragon Fruit : packed with prebiotics & essential minerals which help protect and strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier,
  • Pomegranate: rich in Omega 5 which helps to soothe the skin
  • antioxidant-rich Polyphenols
  • Vitamin E both help to protect skin from damaged caused by environmental aggressors.
Quite the impressive list of ingredients right there! On the skin, this serum is very  much a serum. It isn't overly thick but it also isn't so runny that it is like water, it has that perfect in-between texture which makes it easy to apply to the skin and one which easily sinks into the skin with very little effort.

As you can see from the swatches above, there is a slight hint of orange to the texture, though that does not transfer to the skin. You need just the smallest amount of this Glow and Protect Serum pressed onto freshly cleansed skin. Thankfully, the bottle does have a pump dispenser, so one pump is more than enough for your needs.

This is a serum that can be used both AM and PM, though my preference is definitely AM because I like to use the Retinoid Serum in the evening (review coming on that beauty).   I absolutely love this serum, which I am sure is obvious, for anyone who is wanting to add a product to their routine to activate that glow, but you have slightly sensitive skin, then this is one to try.  It is priced at £50 for 30ml, so on the pricey side, but not the most expensive serum that you can buy.

The REN Glow and Protect serum is available now from all your favourite beauty places to shop such as Cult Beauty, Space NK, M&S, Lookfantastic and of course REN themselves and as mentioned, it is priced at £50.

ALL The best beauty Easter eggs for 2022

Beauty Easter Eggs are definitely not something new, they’ve been around for quite a few years now and having shared my favourites in 2019, 2020 and last year, I thought I would share some of the options already available for 2022, with more to come.
ALL The best beauty Easter eggs for 2022
Without question, beauty Easter eggs are a lot of fun, especially if, like me you are a bit of a beauty buff and absolutely love any excuse to try new brands, like kooky packaging and like a bit of a treat.

Starting with Lookfantastic, for me, the Easter Egg offering gets better and better each year and this one is no exception.
ALL The best beauty Easter eggs for 2022
On sale now for just £65, the contents of this Egg are said to be worth £217 and it has, for the past 5 years sold out pretty quickly.  Featuring eight brands and their products, you will find a selection from Eve Lom, Rodial, REN, Medik8, Color WOW, OUAI, Elemis and Rituals.

Up next we have another beauty box Easter Egg offering and this time it is from Glossybox.
ALL The best beauty Easter eggs for 2022
Winning the prize for the cutest looking Easter Egg in my opinion, this is the fourth year in a row that Glossybox has put together a beauty Easter egg, and in true Glossybox style, they sell out quickly, the record being in 30 minutes.

Worth over £110 inside you find brands such as Too Faced, Laura Mercier and Frank Body to name just a few and if it sounds like one you need in your life there is a waiting list to sign up to!  It will be on sale for £25 if you are a monthly subscriber and £35 to everyone else.

One brand I hoped would have a Beauty Egg and does is Lush. If there is one thing that Lush does really well, for me it is their seasonal offerings.
ALL The best beauty Easter eggs for 2022
The Lush Golden Egg, which is on sale for just £40 is the one which is very extra. The Lush Golden Egg is 100% recycled, everything from the box it comes in to the ribbon which wraps it - a lesson for many brands out there right now.

Inside this Golden Egg Lush state you have everything you need to be truly relaxed and it includes a Dragon’s Egg bath bomb, Easter Bunny bubble bar, What’s Up, Doc? shower gel, honey lip scrub and bath bomb.

Some brands for 2022 are offering more than one Beauty Egg and starting with Rituals who have a total of three different Eggs to choose from, there is something for everyone.
ALL The best beauty Easter eggs for 2022
Priced at £39.50, each one of these three eggs features a foaming shower gel, hand balm, travel-sized perfume and repairing lip balm, all you have to do is choose which Rituals scent gets your attention the most - The Rituals of Mehr shown above, The Rituals of Sakura or The Rituals of Karma?

Those are just a few of the Beauty Eggs that have been released for sale or shared and I know there is a few more to come, though the details of one is under embargo, so I will share it as soon as I can.

L'Occitane Rose Jasmin Eau de Toilette

One of my favourite fragrance notes is Jasmine, except in Thierry Mugler Angel (vile), it was in the notes of my wedding fragrance which Bvlagri has sadly discontinued. L’Occitane have released a new Eau de Toilette called Rose Jasmin and I’ve been wearing it for the past few weeks now and I absolutely love it. Rose is one of those scents that I find people either love or hate, for me if it is a fresh scent and by that I mean not manufactured to smell like Rose, then I love it.
L'Occitane Rose Jasmin Eau de Toilette
Described as being a delicate, fresh and floral fragrance that is elegant and feminine, Rose Jasmin Eau de Toilette is a celebration of the modern woman; feminine and floral with an individual twist. It comes packaged in the most beautiful of muted pink bottles which is quite unlike other L’Occitane fragrances that I have used and I love the style.
This delicately crafted floral bouquet combines the noble rose centifolia, evocative of modern femininity and sweet jasmine wrapped in a veil of white musk and woody notes for a feminine and floral fragrance.
So quite the description of the fragrance from L’Occitane and the perfume notes give the impression that it could be anything but floral, but it most definitely sits in the floral family category. Opening with top notes of lemon and peppercorn you get that freshness without the tart citrus note because for me, the heart notes appear very quickly with the Rose Centifolia which is sweet and subtle, Jasmine Absolute which is really uplifting and calming and then Magnolia which pairs really well with Jasmine and is a sweeter floral note. The base notes of Cedarwood, Musk, Oak Moss, Lorenox come together to add that woody effect to work with those florals.

This isn’t an overwhelming fragrance at all, it is delicate and floral and one which lingers all day on the skin or on your chosen clothing. It is just absolutely delightful as a fragrance, definitely one for spring and summer.
L'Occitane Rose Jasmin Eau de Toilette
If you love Rose and Jasmin as fragrances notes, aside from the perfume there is also a shower gel and body lotion, making the perfect trip for laying the scent to really make it stand out. The fragrance is priced at £52 for 50ml, which is a great price point and is up there with one of my favourite L’Occitane Eau de Toilettes.
