The Body Shop Flutter & Flick Eye Makeup Gift

I have an incredible collection of gift guides coming up with The Body Shop and having already shared the three seasonal fragrance collections on my blog, today is one for the makeup lover in your life with the Flutter & Flick Eye Makeup Gift (£20).
The Body Shop Flutter & Flick Eye Makeup Gift
The Body Shop Flutter & Flick Eye Makeup Gift
Packaged inside the most beautiful festive box you will find three products - Happy Go Lash Mascara, Smoky Eye Definer Pencil and then the Camomile Cleansing Butter, which as a trio is so cute.

The Happy Go Lash Mascara is described as being a black, everyday mascara which works to thicken and define the lashes, whilst being gentle.
The Body Shop Flutter & Flick Eye Makeup Gift
The Body Shop Flutter & Flick Eye Makeup Gift
Made with 93% ingredients of natural origin, the mascara is enriched with 93% ingredients of natural origin, including organic beeswax and Community Fair Trade organic virgin coconut oil, so not only is at as easy to remove as it is to apply, the ingredients also look after your lashes too.  What I like about this mascara is that it gives a natural look.  I have fairly long eyelashes, so anything with a formula that is too wet leaves my lashes looking dreadful.  The wand is also fairly easy to work with too, the bristles are fairly soft and thick and move between the lashes easily.

Eyeliner is something I don't go out of my way to purchase as I can live without it, but this Smoky Eye Definer Pencil is one I have really liked. It is available in black or brown and within this kit, it is the black shade.
The Body Shop Flutter & Flick Eye Makeup Gift
It is incredible soft on the waterline and easy to glide along without pulling the delicate skin, plus as the pencil has a smudger on one end, if you want that more dramatic look, there is plenty of time to apply and then smudge, it isn't any eyeliner that doesn't budge before you have your chance.

Finally we have the Camomile Cleansing Butter which I am a huge fan of already and within this Makeup Gift, it is a smaller tin, perfect for your makeup bag!
The Body Shop Flutter & Flick Eye Makeup Gift
If you haven't come across this Cleansing Butter before, you need to grab some. It has one of the softest textures I've ever used and it is designed to not only only be kind to your skin, but to also gently melt away your makeup, which it does in just a few seconds of being on your skin and I always use mine in conjunction with the Body Shop Muslin Cloths, which at £2.50 are amazing value for money.

The Body Shop Flutter & Flick Eye Makeup Gift is an incredible kit for just £20 and perfect for finding under the Christmas Tree as a Stocking Filler

Emma Hardie Christmas Gifts

Without question, one of my favourite brands is Emma Hardie.  Having tried pretty much every single product the brand has to offer, including being treated to the most luxurious and relaxing facial that I have ever had, at Christmas time, as a brand, I feel Emma Hardie excels themselves.
Emma Hardie Christmas Gifts
This year I am sharing two products that fit into the stocking filler category and are suitable for Stocking Filler category and both products are £20 and under.  I have shared quite a few stocking filler guides so far this year and I absolutely love them, I feel you often get better value for money.

The first product is the Merrily Moringa Bauble, which at £12 is amazing value for money. Whether you are as big as a fan as I am of the brand or whether it is a brand you want to get to know, then this gift bauble is an amazing place to start.
Emma Hardie Christmas Gifts
Inside, you will find two products, the first one, which will need no introduction is the Moringa Cleansing Balm.  A balm that is very much a cult product, its iconic and nearly everyone I know has tried it at some stage in their life. It is often described as being as being a purifying botanical cleansing balm and its job is to removes all traces of face and eye make-up, deeply cleanse the pores whilst at the same time to also be balancing, hydrating and moisturising for all skin types.  It is packed with an impressive list of ingredients which includes
  • Grape Seed Oil and Sweet Almond Oil rich in essential fatty acids help to plump and soften
  • Moringa seed extract, Wild Sea Fennel and Vitamin E balance, purify and help to minimise the appearance of open pores
  • Essential oils of Orange, Neroli and Mandarin rejuvenate and revitalise the skin whilst calming the senses
  • Jasmine and Rose help to recondition dull, dry, dehydrated and mature skins
For me, what makes this balm just so beautiful is how it feels on the skin.  From not being over oily and greasy, even when it emulsifies when it comes into contact with water, it is soft, it is smooth and the scent is just incredible and I am so delighted it is now also available in many other forms - especially a candle.

Also within this bauble is a cleansing cloth is a dual sided cloth and on one side of the cloth is a gentle microfibre material for deep cleansing and removal whereas the other side is a muslin cloth for polishing the skin.

The second product within this guide is the Moringa Skin Indulgence and this is a cracker (£20) and it is also an amazing gift to give.
Emma Hardie Christmas Gifts
Inside this cracker you will find the following products:

15ml Moringa Cleansing Balm - Again as mentioned above, this is one of the most delightful cleansing balms I have ever used.
Mini Dual Action Cleansing Cloth - Also above, this cloth has been my go to cloth for many years and I am so glad that they can be bought separately
15ml Midas Touch Revitalising Cream - (review here) This is one of my favourite creams because it has the most luxurious texture which not only absorbs incredibly quickly into the skin but it does without leaving behind any trace. This cream is formulated with hyaluronic acid to banish signs of fatigue and stress as well as to hydrate and plump the skin. Other ingredients include a powerful blend of marine and botanical extracts such as antioxidant edelweiss stem cells which work to condition and tone while brightening properties are delivered by natural polymatrix algae film extract. Also found within this cream are the natural oils of Moringa, Primrose and Rosehip which work together to moisturise, nourish and soothe and it smells just incredible.

12ml Moringa Light Cleansing Gel - (full review here) This is a lighter version than the Moringa Balm, but it still packs a punch. It is formulated with essential oils which includes moringa and sweet almond and they help to remove dirt, impurities and oil without stripping the skin and leaving it feeling in need of moisture. Added to those oils we have omega-6 and vitamin E which together help to moisturise and soften the skin. Then finally there is the inclusion of sea fennel extract and moringa seed peptides. What you get is a cleanser that not only helps strengthen the skin’s natural defences but one which leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth, sooth, moisturised and hydrated. Perfect for that morning cleanse.

As you can see, I have been really impressed with both of these products and their contents and I think they are such a good way to showcase some of the best that Emma Hardie is known for, whether you have tried products from the brand or not.

How to Look Better in Your Clothes

Image from Pexels - CC0 License

Do you look at your wardrobe and despair about what's inside? You might have a large collection of clothes but feel like none of them really suit you or you never feel great when you're wearing them. Or maybe you think that your clothes make you look ok, but what you really want is for them to help you look amazing. Looking better in your clothes doesn't have to be difficult to do. When you use the right techniques, you can ensure all of your outfits make you look and feel great. Take a look at these tips if you want to look better in your clothes.

      Buy the Right Clothes

You don't necessarily have to rush out and buy a whole load of new clothes right away. It's best to start working with what you've got before buying anything new. But next time you're shopping for new clothes, it can make a big difference to keep a few things in mind when you're looking for the right clothes. Don't just buy what first catches your eye or even what you think you should be wearing. What's most important is that you think you look good and you feel comfortable in what you choose to wear.

Know How to Build an Outfit

Putting together an outfit is a skill in itself. It might be easy to grab a pair of jeans and a T-shirt, but can you really build an outfit that makes you look and feel amazing? There can be lots of different elements to any outfit, from which clothing pieces you pick to how you choose to wear them and how you accessorise them. Understanding how to layer different elements can really help if you want your outfits to make you look incredible. There are lots of tips you can pick up from watching others or by looking online.

      Change Your Body

Sometimes it might not be your clothes that you feel don't quite work but your body. If you want to look and feel better in your clothes, you might consider making a change. This could be done in a few ways. One way is to simply choose the right underwear. Having the right foundation under your clothes can give you a better silhouette and help you feel more confident in your clothes. You could also make changes to your body, whether it's through a tummy tuck or making an effort to lose weight. Of course, not everyone wants to make drastic changes to their body to look or feel different.

      Wear Your Clothes Confidently

It's not always just about what your clothes look like, sometimes it's the way you carry yourself when you wear them. If you wear your clothes with confidence, you can look and feel more comfortable in them. In contrast, if you feel awkward, you could look pretty awkward too. Choose clothes that you enjoy wearing and that make you feel good if you also want them to make you look good.

When you want to look and feel better wearing your clothes, choose outfits that give you confidence.
