Skincare by Steamcream

I remember when Steamcream first came to the U.K. and everyone had a tin of the wonder cream and they even launched their own Christmas Crackers too. Then the brand disappeared from the blogs and social media, but now they’re back!

Steamcream believes skincare should be simple and ingredients chosen with the ultimate aim of rebalancing, protecting and moisturising your skin. Steamcream is handmade in small batches in Japan using a unique Steam Emulsification Manufacturing Method. How the products are made is just as important as what is put in to them, and using high-temperature steam allows the brand to minimise the amount of emulsifier used. This method also means that they can deliver the ultimate goodness from natural ingredients directly to your skin. This manufacturing method can only be done by hand, so we can only manufacture small batches at a time. This innovative Pure Steam Process makes the cream extremely lightweight, providing effective, long-lasting hydration 365 days of the year.

So what do you use Steamcream for?

Steamcream is a face cream, a luxurious body cream and even a hand cream which has been designed to deliver moisture directly to the skin. 

It is formulated using natural skin-softening ingredients such as ground oats (colloidal oatmeal) which are are rich in amino acids with highly moisturising properties alongside the likes of almond oil and jojoba oil which have fatty acids similar to sebum, cocoa butter which is rich in oleic acid and finally Lavender, Neroli, Chamomile and Rose essential oils.

The cream is incredibly lightweight on the skin and it smells as Wdelightful as you would expect given those oils above, for those who aren’t too keen on the scent of Lavender shouldn’t worry too much because it isn’t the most dominant scent, though it is detectable. 

The tin that I have is called Winter Delight and the picture depicts a family wearing their Christmas jumpers hanging baubles making it look really festive. 

Priced at £13.95, not only is Steamcream vegan, cruelty free and made without harsh chemicals, the tin within which your cream is stored is not only fully recyclable but also reusable. My original Steamcream tin houses my fuses for my kettle, microwave etc… the perfect size without taking up too much space.

The Body Shop Hand and Body Gift Sets

I did mention that I had a whole lot of gift sets to share from The Body Shop and they will be featured in different priced bundles, but there is something for every budget. Today it is Stocking Fillers for the Hands and Body.

Once again, these body creams are Vegan and they are made with 96% ingredients of natural origin and this includes Community Fair Trade shea butter and then Cocoa Butter, both of which leave the skin feeling loved, softened and nourished with the promise of 96hr moisture.

Again, as with the hand creams above, we have Kindness & Pears which is enriched with pear extract as well as the vibrant and fruity notes of juicy pear, strawberry and warm tonka bean which really give it that feel good fragrance. Then with Love & Plums which is enriched with plum extract and alongside that we have those rich, bright, fruity-floral notes of plum sorbet, peony and finally comforting musk which again gives this cream a lovely luxe formula which melts onto the skin. Then once again, my favourite of the three is Joy & Jasmine which is enriched with jasmine extract which gives it a lovely floral scent it added to which we have the fresh, light floral notes of orange flower, rose and sensual jasmine and it is the longest lasting scent of the three and it’s just delightful.
