Temple Spa Well Polished Summer Nail Treats Collection

When Temple Spa announced they had released their WELL POLISHED Summer Nail Treats Collection alongside the Mani Pedi Cures Hand and Foot Care Essentials, I couldn't wait for it to arrive because from the sneak previews I had seen of the shades, each one looked just stunning - and they are!
Temple Spa Well Polished Summer Nail Treats Collection
Described as being a gorgeous quartet of high-shine and long-lasting nail colours which have been inspired by our favourite Mediterranean cocktails. Packaged inside the most beautiful bag, is four full-sized nail polishes in some incredibly bright shades:
  • MONACO | Kir Royale red
  • LUCCA | Peach Bellini coral
  • MARSEILLE | Sea Breeze pink
  • Capri | Pink Champagne
Each one is as stunning as the next. Packaged in glass bottles with a really short brush, the Polish is made up of a unique resin complex base which is made with 68% naturally-derived and ethically-sourced materials. These materials make the Polish air and water-vapour permeable so not only does it let your nails breathe but it also works to keep them healthy and in good condition.

When it comes to applying the polish, I was really impressed with how easy it was to apply, I often find the brushes of a nail polish can be a tad difficult to work with because they don't cover the whole nail in one swipe, thankfully, Temple Spa have clearly thought this through because the brush does exactly that and because the shades are so pigmented, you could very easily get away with applying just one coat to your nail of all the shades, except Capril which is the Pink Champagne shade, which needs 2-3 coats for as good a colour payoff as the rest of the shades.
Temple Spa Well Polished Summer Nail Treats Collection
From all of these shades, I have worn both Capri or Lucca, which you could say are the shades most suited to the Spring and Summer months because of how bright they are. I have swapped and changed between both shades on my toes and neither shade has chipped once, I have only re-applied when it has grown out.

This set of four polishes is available from Temple Spa and you can find them priced at just £25 which is an absolute steal!

Is It Too Early To Check Out This Christmas Gift Guide For Guys?

While it might seem like it’s too early to think about Christmas, the truth is - you might already be behind! The Christmas ads have already started, the food order slots are out… maybe it is time you started your Christmas shopping!

Buying gifts for guys isn’t always easy, but there are a lot of great ideas here to help you get inspired. Take a look at this early Christmas gift guide for guys and get your shopping off to a great start.

Appeal to their hobbies

Buying a hobby-related gift is one of the easiest ways to buy a gift that someone will use and enjoy. Whether the man in your life enjoys gardening and takes a keen interest in tools such as a snow blower shovel, or whether it is the obvious such as football, golfing or comic books - you can be sure there’s something that will make his day. Do you research into useful gifts related to their hobbies as you can find lists of the best gifts for skateboarders, guitar lover accessories and anything else they’re into. If they don’t really have any hobbies, why not help them start one?

Help them take better care of their skin

Some guys are really into their skincare, others might need a little helping hand. Buying some skincare essentials can be a great way to show them how to care for their skin, and they’ll be sure to appreciate it when they notice the difference it makes. A beauty edit box is a fantastic and affordable way to introduce them to different products and to show them just how wonderful skincare can be. They’ll thank you when they start winding back the lock!

Book an adventure you can both enjoy

Who says a Christmas gift can’t be shared? After nearly two years of lockdowns and cancelled plans, it’s nice to plan an adventure that the two of you can enjoy. Whether it’s a gig or another live event, or a trip to somewhere special, get your thinking cap on and plan a great adventure for the two of you. Gifts that make memories are among the most valuable and are ideal when you can’t think of anything more specific to buy.

The subscription gifts that keep on giving

Subscription gifts are a gift that keeps on giving, bringing lots of enjoyment. While you could pay for a year of Spotify of Disney+, there are some amazing subscription boxes that are sure to impress. From food gifts to clothing and even book subscriptions, these are a lovely surprise to give to your man each month. Why not treat yourself to one too?

While Christmas is still a little while away, it doesn’t hurt to start shopping a little early. With plenty of fun ideas for Christmas gifts for guys, you’re sure to find something to love. And while we know that gifts are wonderful to give, there are other ways you can make Christmas special too. After a year full of ups and downs, make this Christmas a fabulous one that you will remember for years to come.

Again that word ‘sustainability’ is one you’re going to hear a lot about this year with Beauty Advent Calendars. From The Body Shop sustainability starts with the design of the calendars. It is envisage that by having a drawer theme, this should then encourage you to keep hold of your calendar after opening all the drawers to repurpose them and store your crafty bits, beauty samples, some tea lights or even some makeup. I still use three of my former advent calendars from over the years to store sample products in. Also a reminder, every Calendar sold will also help towards a donation of a a minimum £500,000 to organisations across the globe which support unpaid carers and volunteers.

In the meantime, this Advent Calendar is one to watch and for £320, it is on the pricey side, but if you’re a fan of the brand and need to stock up on your products from The Body Shop, then this is it!

Aldi's new Lacura skincare range

My favourite middle aisle gang over at Aldi has launched a new premium skincare range and as you might expect, it’s filled with dupes of high end products.
Aldi's new Lacura skincare range
Aldi’s beauty brand, Lacura, which recently announced its upcoming beauty box and of course the Advent Calendar, has said that these are “high quality ingredients without the luxury price tag” with its new products and they are online and instore now!

The new range starts from £3.99 and includes everything from jelly cleansers and a microdermabrasion scrub to a glycolic exfoliating treatment and vitamin C serum. I’m sharing a sneak preview of them with you today and will then give an in-depth review of each one as I’ve used them a few times more.
Aldi's new Lacura skincare range
The first product is the Lacura Jelly Cleanser, which is priced at £3.99 and aims to “remove even the most stubborn make-up, dirt and impurities”, it is said to be a similar to Drunk Elephant’s Beste No.9 Jelly Cleaner, which retails at £27. This cleanser is packed with make-up dissolving emollients and the luxurious gel to foam texture will remove even the most stubborn make-up, dirt and impurities. Free of skin-stripping ingredients such as fragrance or essential oils, it is of course cruelty-free.

The second product is the Lacura Multi-Peptide Moisturiser which (£6.99, 50ml). Formulated with a powerful complex of seven peptides, proteins and nutrients and enriched with Waterlily Extract, the gel-cream will help improve skin tone, texture, firmness and elasticity as well offering antiaging benefits. The dupe this time is said to be another Drunk Elephant product - the Protini Peptide Cream which retails for £57.

The product which really intrigued me is the Lacura Gylcolic Exfoliating Treatment (£5.99) is compared to the Sunday Riley Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment (£85). It is enriched with Glycolic Acid, Prickly Pear and Lemongrass Oil and not only does it offer intense moisture, gentle exfoliation but it can even be used as a treatment mask to reveal healthier, more radiant skin.

The final product within my collection, though it is by no means the last one available, is the Lacura Intensive Eye Cream (£3.99, 15ml). A dupe of Dermalogica’s Intensive Eye Repair (£49), it is packed with must-have ingredients such as Vitamin A, C and E as well as Pro-Vitamin B5, while remaining gentle enough to use daily. Perfect for hydrating and smoothing skin, it will also diminish fine lines and help to defend against further damage.

According to Aldi , shoppers can save themselves around £288 on skincare products by using its new Lacura products. Alongside these four products there is an entire arsenal of skincare and other beauty products to discover and they’re online and instore right now, but they never stay there for long!
