Essence Made With Love DIY Advent Calendar - 02 Assembled With X-Mas Sparkle 2021

Having just shared version one of the Essence DIY Advent Calendar offering, before you add it to your basket and check out, there is another version! This one is possibly my favourite of the two!

As with the first DIY Advent Calendar, this one is also packaged inside a cardboard box which is very cutely decorated with a snowflake theme and inside you will find 24 products from Essence. The idea with this DIY Advent Calendar is that it comes with its very own paper bags and seals and you put the products into those bags, seal them and then open them as you would do any other Advent Calendar.

Essence Made With Love DIY Advent Calendar - 01 ...And A Hint Of Magic 2021

Antipodes Glow Ritual Vitamin C Serum

I attended a very exciting Zoom launch at the middle of last week from Antipodes, a brand whose Aura Manuka Honey Mask I rave about all the time!  This launch however was for the brand new Antipodes Glow Ritual Vitamin C Serum, a product which is described as being a light-wear gel for a luminous dewy complexion!

For me, a serum has always been part of my daily routine and I can't even remember when the last time was that I didn't use one.  The Antipodes Glow Ritual Serum is a light-wear gel serum for a luminous, dewy complexion and is said to create a skin that glows without makeup. Vitamin C as an ingredient is one we see hyped and talked about a lot, it already occurs naturally within the skin, but on its own it isn't enough and over time, I have used in many different products which are serums, masks, tonics, moisturisers, cleansers and primers to name just a few, which all have Vitamin C related ingredients to help improve my skin. There is multiple benefits of using Vitamin C in your skincare routine, for example it gives you a brighter complexion, it helps to even out the skin tone,diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  The main benefits you are probably more akin to hearing about is that it is an antioxidant, so it helps protect against the damage caused by free radicals and helps to improve the condition of the skin, where it can also help to improve collagen production, reduce inflammation and it is often used to help with sun damage, age spots and hyper-pigmentation.

As with Antipodes beauty products there is always a whole lot more goodness hiding within the formula and this Serum is no exception.  One of the key ingredients is Kakadu Plum Extract which is a rare Australian Superfruit which happens to have the worlds highest recorded natural Vitamin C content, up to 100 times more than oranges and it  works to illuminate, protect and boost your complexion. Then we have plant derived Hyaluronic Acid which is used for its powerful moisturising retaining, skin-plumping properties. Bakuchiol comes next and this is an ingredient I am glad to see is getting its name out there. Known as and referred to as being nature's retinol it works to smooth and firm without the sensitising effects of retinol.  Then finally we have Vinanza Grape and Kiwi who provide antioxidant protection whilst at the same time helping to reduce the appearance of pigmentation.

On the skin, this texture is incredibly silky, it isn't overly thick or tacky when applied and because, as you can see it has the most stunning golden shade, it gives an almost instant glow and you cannot help but love it.
