Feelunique - Discover, Trial and Play Beauty Box

A few weeks ago I shared the news that Feelunique are to launch their very own beauty box called Discover, Trial and Play, only it is slightly different to what other brands have to offer with their beauty boxes because Feelunique let you choose which 5 products you would like to add to your box.  This monthly personalised subscription service which Feelunique describe as being the ultimate ‘to me, from me’ gift and all from just £11.95 each month, intrigued me so much, I ordered a one-off box and here it is.
Feelunique - Discover, Trial and Play Beauty Box
The products, as you can see come packaged inside their own canvass drawstring bag, an item which is always handy to have for storage purposes, or for using in your suitcase if you have a holiday coming up or even just a few days away.  I actually found it quite hard to choose which products I wanted from this edit, but having looked through everything that there was on offer, I made my purchase.

The first item that went into my basket is from Emma Hardie, it is a product I already own and absolutely love with the Moisturising Hands Sanitiser (60ml) which is the perfect size at 60ml to pop into your handbag.
Feelunique - Discover, Trial and Play Beauty Box
Slightly different to other hand sanitisers that I have used, from Emma Hardie you have a product that you can use to wash your hands as well as to sanitise them and despite being made up of 70% alcohol, it features so many amazing ingredients which work to prevent your hands from feeling dry and instead leave them feeling as though you have just applied the most nourishing of hand creams.

The second product within my box comes from Aurelia with their Botanical Cream Deodorant (50ml) with Eucalyptus, Lavender and Peppermint.  The reason I chose it is because I have heard and read so many good things about this product and wanted to give it a try.
Feelunique - Discover, Trial and Play Beauty Box
The Botanical Cream Deodorant is described as being a natural, aluminium free product which has a cream-to-powder consistency. It features superfine powdered plant based botanicals such as antimicrobial Arrowroot and pure Kaolin which sit invisibly on the skin ready to absorb your natural perspiration throughout the day; retaining dryness, inhibiting bacteria which in turn results in long-lasting freshness. There is also the addition of Shea butter for its hydrating properties and then the essential oils of Tea tree, Eucalyptus and Peppermint which have both antiseptic and antibacterial properties and are blended with distilled Lavender and Bergamot to lightly fragrance and deodorise.

The third product I chose is from Natasha Denona and the only makeup product in this box. It is a single eyeshadow in the shade Sense.
Feelunique - Discover, Trial and Play Beauty Box
Sense, which is featured on the Zendo palette is best described as being a slightly warm-toned, medium-dark brown and it has a metallic finish. It is an absolutely beautiful shade which I will get a lot of wear from when I begin to venture out of my comfort zone and back into the land of the living.

The next product comes from a brand that I also see absolutely everywhere and is yet one I have to try - Sol de Janiro with their Bom Dia Bright Cream (25ml).
Feelunique - Discover, Trial and Play Beauty Box
This Cream is described as being a richly nourishing daily moisturiser which is designed to soothe dry skin for a silky-smooth result. Enriched with fruit AHA's and Vitamin C, this gently exfoliating cream helps to soothe the appearance of discolouration and because of the inclusion of cupuacu butter alongside willowbark extract, this cream is also deeply hydrating and helps to calm angry, stressed out skin.

The final product is one I have had sitting in my basket for some time now and it comes from Farmacy with their Green Clean Cleansing Balm (12ml). I absolutely love cleansing, I say it a lot but it is the favourite part of my routine!
Feelunique - Discover, Trial and Play Beauty Box
This Cleansing Balm uses Papaya Extract and is a balm-to-oil formula which is described as creating a luxurious lather upon contact with water which works to gently exfoliate and refine skin, all without stripping or drying. Further ingredients include Sunflower and Ginger Root Oils which effectively dissolve stubborn makeup and impurities, whilst a revitalising blend of Lime, Bergamot and Orange Essential Oils leave skin feeling clean and fresh. Finally we have Echinacea GreenEnvy™ which is the brand's patented and exclusive plant and its job is tp promote a smooth, even tone and texture.

So there you have the five products which I chose as a one-off option to see what the subscription service might be like and I am hoping that every month, the choice of products changes even though there is just under 400 products to choose from. As mentioned, this box will cost just £11.95 a month and you will be able to choose whether or not you want one off box, or take an option to subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months.  What I love about this idea is that it reminds me of You Beauty Box that I subscribed too until it was discontinued and every month, I used to love choosing my products, so I have high hopes for this!

Lush 2021 Advent Calendar Revealed

Lush have revealed their 2021 Advent Calendar and it is, as expected, blooming amazing. Previous years with Lush and their Advent Calendars has seen them fly off the shelves as soon as they are available to purchase and I suspect this one will have that very same fate.

Meet The Skin Experts

The SkinExperts is hopefully a brand you have seen on your social media feed, if not then you are missing out. As a brand, The Skin Experts was founded on one simple premise: to always bring the most exceptional skincare products and knowledge to their customers. Right now they are celebrating their 1st Birthday and for a new brand, it has been quite the year!
Meet The Skinexperts
The thing I really like about The Skin Experts is that they are all too aware that there is no such thing as “one size fits all” when it comes to skincare and achieving good skin. They work in partnership with some of the UK’s top dermatologists and with this expert team which is ever growing, they have managed to create a space which offers you some of the best brands of skincare but paired it with the best advice and this means effective solutions can be found for every skin type, age and concern.

The Skin Experts stock some of the very best brands that skincare has to offer right now which includes:
  • Avant,
  • Brush on Block,
  • Emma Hardie,
  • Epionce,
  • Medik8,
  • The Organic Pharmacy,
  • Avene,
  • Ultra sun
Plus there is just so many more to get to know. It’s actually an impressive line up!

This brand is a whole lot more than just something that sells amazing skincare, it also has an incredible advice and help section called Beyond The Routine and here you can expect to find articles about skin types, the effects of the menstrual cycle on your skin, common skincare mistakes, what oily skin is, the difference between men and women’s skin, the pitfalls of using too many products and so much more.  At the end of some of the articles is also a suggestion as to which products from The Skin Experts would be a good starting place, a valuable insight into why certain products are better for your skin than others.
Meet The Skin Experts
With the celebration of reaching that first birthday milestone, The Skin Experts have some incredible offers on their site right now which I am sharing with you today. Some of the available brands are currently offering up to 50% off and others which come with free gifts. These offers are available until 23rd August, so if there is a product you have had your eye on, grab it quick!
