Liberty London Tropic Like It’s Hot Beauty Edit Revealed

Liberty London are back with another edit, aptly called “Tropic Like It’s Hot*” and it is described as being the summer beauty kit of dreams, curated by their experts.
Liberty London TROPIC LIKE IT’S HOT
It was only in June that we had the Hands Down Beauty Kit, so I am really chuffed to see another edit quote soon after. These Liberty Edits are quite special in that each one comes packaged in a beautiful print bag and this one is no different with its Jungle Forest Print.

This edit is said to be worth over £200 and as yet there is no price given or a sale date. It does however feature seven products within the hair, body and skin care categories and again, this kit is said to have you covered for those warm weather escapades.

Contents

  • Bumble and Bumble - Invisible Oil Primer (60ml)
  • Malin + Goetz - Mojito Lip Balm (10ml)
  • Margaret Dabbs London - Foot Cooling Spray & Cleansing Spray (80ml)
  • Dermalogica - Solar Defence Booster SPF50 (50ml)
  • Frank Body - Original Coffee Scrub (200ml)
  • Olaplex No.3 - Hair Perfector (100ml)
  • Susanne Kaufmann - Tonic Soothing (100ml)
I love the different brands and the products that have been included here, all of which you can find in the stunning beauty hall at Liberty, one of my favourite places to wander around.

This is definitely an edit to be looking out for

Erborian Skincare Therapy Double Cleansing

Double cleansing is something I do every single evening without fail, even if I have spent many hours just tapping away at my keyboard not seeing the outside world. Erborian to this day, still does one of my favourite products - the PP creme and whilst as a brand it has gone from strength to strength, I’ve been trying two of their newer products as part of my evening routine.
Erborian Skincare Therapy Double Cleansing
The Centella Cleansing Oil and the Centella Cleansing Gel come together to form the Erborian Skincare Therapy Double Cleansing Duo and I’ve very much enjoyed using them.

The Centella Cleansing Oil is described as being an ultra-fine cleansing oil which not only removes makeup including that waterproof mascara, it also works to remove excess sebum and other impurities, while at the same time maintaining the skin's natural hydration.
Erborian Skincare Therapy Double Cleansing
Formulated with Centella Asiatica which is described as being Erborians super-ingredient, it is also rich in nourishing botanical oils which includes
  • Centella Asiatica Oil Extract - for its soothing properties.
  • Sweet Almond Oil - used for its nourishing properties.
  • Sunflower Oil - use for its moisturising properties.
  • Bisabolife - which helps to reduce inflammation and redness after irritation. It is also known to limit bacteria proliferation on skin.
When this Cleansing Oil comes into contact with water, its light texture transforms into a milky lotion and it is here that it works to remove makeup quickly, without leaving a greasy residue. On the skin, it is hydrating and soothing and does such a good job at removing everything in its path and should be used as that first cleanse.

When it comes to the second cleanser we have Centella Cleansing Gel which works to cleanse and help purify the skin to leave it feeling perfectly clean and soothed.
Erborian Skincare Therapy Double Cleansing
As with the Cleansing Oil, this gel is also enriched in Centella Asiatica which is known for soothing properties. Alongside the ace tells Asiatica, we also have:
  • Squalane: Helps to moisturize and to protect the skin against dehydration.
  • 7 Herbs Complex: a combination of Soothing properties, which Erborian are known for and this includes the likes of Tiger-grass, Liquorice and Japanese knotweed to improve natural skin detoxification.
This Gel is gentle on the skin and as with the oil, is perfect for use every single day and together they are quite the duo for completing the double cleansing routine. They both work to remove everything from makeup and Sun cream to dirt, grime and pollution and they do so without stripping the skin to leave it feeling dry and taut.

I have the 180ml bottles of which both come with a pump action dispenser. One pump from the dispenser is more than enough for each part of the cleanse.

If you are yet to join the world of double cleansing or are confused as to where to start, Erborian makes the job absolutely simple and straightforward to complete with these two products and they can be found on the Er Priam website in smaller sizes for just £8 and £9 for 30ml sizes rising upward to £22 and £25 for 180 pump action bottle options.

Aroma Active Laboratories Muscle Cooling Gel

Having now been fully vaccinated, I have had a series of after effects that whilst uncomfortable, I would happily go through all over again to ensure I do not ever get this dreadful illness that has plagued the lives of so many people I know.  From a fever and night sweats, to arm ache and a dead leg, I am not someone who reaches for painkillers easily, I would much rather let my body work its way through the issue on its own, but the leg ache, which is part is caused by an ankle injury (yes still) and the vaccine is rather irritating, so I turned to the Aroma Active Laboratories Muscle Cooling Gel for help.
Aroma Active Laboratories Muscle Cooling Gel
I have made no secret as to how much I love this brand, from their SOS Forehead Balm to the Muscle Recovery Soak, this brand is exclusive to Boots comes from the lab responsible for Aromatherapy Associates, but at a fraction of the cost and I determined to work my through the entire collection.

The Aroma Active Laboratories Muscle Cooling Gel (£12 here*) is described as being a cooling gel for instant relief and recovery for general stiffness or to soothe tired limbs, everything I am looking for in one giant tube and it is perfect for using as that Muscle Recovery Soak

When it comes to using, you simply give the tube a slight squeeze and then gently to apply the cooling gel onto affected areas. As you can see there is a metal applicator which rolls lightly across the skin giving that lovely cooling effect as the gel come into contact, you need to only apply the littlest amount of pressure to feel the benefits too.

As with all Aroma Active Laboratories products, this one comes packed full of amazing ingredients which are known for both their amazing aromas and their aromatherapy properties.  Ingredients include:
  • Turmeric with calming properties to help ease.
  • Rosemary with soothing effects to help ease and recover.
  • Lavender with its soothing, calming and relaxing properties
  • Adaptogenic Marjoram - for its effective anti-spasmodic and relaxing properties
Added to that incredible list of ingredients is also the relieving complex of Patchouli Leaf Extract and Phytocannabinoids (3%) which together help calm and relax. The there is an instantly cooling Menthol blend with Borage oil and their job is to firm and hydrate the skin. Coming together you have a whole host of ingredients, which when combined are known for their soothing, cooling and calming properties.

As mentioned, I've been using it on my leg and ankle which has been painful for a while now and the soothing and cooling sensation is just absolute bliss. Better still, as someone who is not really happy with my feet being touched, I suffer with Plantar Fasciitis which can also flare up and be incredibly painful, making walking an absolute nightmare, so again, just a few minutes of this roller on the soles of my feet is so much more soothing and relaxing than sorting to a foot massage, the latter often more painful than the walking.

I absolutely love this Aroma Active Laboratories Muscle Cooling Gel if you hadn't guessed and it is definitely worth picking up try for those muscle aches and other ailments.

You can find the entire Aroma Active Laboratories Collection both instore and online with Boots right here*.
