GA-DE Glow FX Luminizing Perfecting cream

Over the past 12 months, you might have seen quite a few posts on a brand called GA-DE on my blog. It launched into the UK and made a name for itself on QVC, quickly selling out of everything that was on offer.  The newest product to my collection is one I shared on my Instagram Stories a few months ago and here it is today.
GA-DE Glow FX Luminizing Perfecting cream
The GLOW FX Luminizing Tone Perfecting Cream is described as being a luminous tone-perfecting cream that amplifies skin's Illumination with a pearlescent glow and designed to blur, even, and enhances skin for a rejuvenated, youthful and radiant complexion. Basically I need to fill my bath with it, lie there for half an hour and get out looking as fabulous as my face looks when I use this cream.

Formulated with what is referred to as skin-smoothing, hydrating, and brightening agents, the cream includes a natural antioxidant complex to help protect skin from urban pollution while improving its elasticity and suppleness. This complex is known as the Lycoskin Defence which comes from tomato skin cells, so not only is it rich in antioxidants, it also helps to protect cells from pollution, UV damage and other free radicals that cause premature ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles. But that isn't all, it also helps to moisturise skin as well as to aid the cell renewal process and collagen production which in turn leaves the skin rejuvenated, revitalised and radiant.  You will also find the inclusion of Vitamin C for those skin brightening properties and its help in brightening the skin.

So how about that glow? Well this cream doesn't just a glow, it imparts the most lovely instant rosy glow and regardless of your skin type or tone, it looks amazing. Using pearl particles which help to revive your complexion, the illuminated look definitely have that wow factor and aside from the pearl pigments there is also what is referred to as 'multilayer technology' whose job it is to blue imperfections to enhance the skin to ensure that luminous glow shines through.

The cream, which its peachy tone, is luxurious, it sits in the not too thick and not thin camp and it has an almost whipped like feel when applied to the skin. Despite having those pearl particles, it isn't sticky or greasy on the skin and it doesn't make you look extra oily either. It
works just like your moisturising cream, but is a whole lot extra and it smells absolutely delightful of rose.  The swatch below is completely unedited, but if you head over  to my Instagram stories, you can see the Glow FX Luminizing Perfecting cream in all its glory.
GA-DE Glow FX Luminizing Perfecting cream
I have used plenty of highlighters over the years in all different forms - gel, powder, liquid, with a wand, without a wand, with a doe foot applicator and so on. But this is the first time, i've used a cream, like this which I just adore and this is why. As well as using Glow FX on its own, which you absolutely can do and I have, you can add it to your foundation, your tinted moisturiser, mix a few drops of your favourite facial oil, i've added some into my body cream which was an accidental application, but my skin glowed amazing, you can also use it sparingly and apply it in the same places you would apply your highlighter after finishing your makeup look. The use, is absolutely endless, up to you and if I could bathe in it, I absolutely would.

Suitable for all skin types and tones, you can find Glow FX from GA-DE via MMCL or QVC and it is priced at £49 for 50ml

L'OCCITANE x QVC 4 Piece Top to Toe Almond Collection

The Almond collection from L'Occitane is my absolute favourite collection that they have on offer and this 4-Piece Top to Toe Almond Collection, which has been created exclusively for QVC is simply incredible in every way.
L'OCCITANE x QVC 4 Piece Top to Toe Almond Collection
Described as being an iconic asset of the South of France, L’occitane’s almond trees blossom with clouds of white flowers that drift on the warm Provencal breeze, producing the almond nut; renowned for its deliciously nourishing properties to soothe both body and mind. As part of L’Occitane’s commitment to sustainability, they support the local production of almonds, purchasing the nuts both whole and broken that can be given a second life and used in products such as body scrubs. Furthermore, they utilise the entire almond in their products, and it is said that all elements of the nut have softening, tightening, firming and smoothing properties, for example:
  • ALMOND OIL: Rich in fatty acids and omega 9, almond oil nourishes, softens and protects the skin from dehydration.
  • ALMOND PROTEIN: Helps to soften and hydrate the skin
  • ALMOND SEED EXTRACT: Helps to firm and smooth the skin
  • ALMOND SHELL POWDER: Known for its exfoliating properties, it gently removes impurities
  • and dead cells
  • ALMOND FRUIT EXTRACT: Helps to soften the skin
This collection of products is worth £117 but is exclusively available on QVC for just £53.96 which is an incredible saving of over £63 and it is made up of:
  • Almond Shower Oil (500ml / £32) - One of my most bought products and an absolute bathroom staple. Described as being a luxurious addition to any shower, this oil transforms from an oil to a nourishing milk when it comes into contact with water. Not only does it leave your skin satin-smooth but also intensely moisturised.
  • Almond Milk Veil (240ml / £32) - This 2-in-1 body milk is enriched with almond oil, almond protein from Provence and almond milk. This Milk Veil helps to moisturise, smooth and firm the skin, plus thanks to the inclusion of illuminating micro-pearls, your skin appears radiant and silky smooth all summer long!
  • Almond Delicious Hands (150ml / £32) - My favourite L'Occitane hand cream and one I am never without in either the handbag mini, or this size! This hand cream is enriched with both Almond milk and Almond oil. It is a silky-smooth cream designed to nourish and soften the hands while leaving them with the stunning but subtle scent of fresh Almonds. It has a non-greasy formula and is the perfect hand cream for hydrating hands, especially those who tend to suffer with dryness.
  • Shea Almond Liquid Soap (500ml / £21) - This is a world exclusive and a new addition to the L’Occitane Liquid soap family. Described as being deliciously scented and perfect for frequent use throughout the day. Hands will be subtly scented with almonds, whilst the addition of nourishing shea butter will prevent the occurrence of sore and dry hands from frequent hand washing.
This L’Occitane 4 Piece Top to Toe Almond Collection has been created exclusively for QVC and will be live on QVC on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th April under item number 242275 but using this link will take you to the pre-launch and you can get your hands on it right now for just £53.96!

Glossybox Wake Up in Spring Beauty Box - April 2021 review

This month's Glossybox is titled ‘Wake Up In Spring’ and it is the theme for the April subscription box and I am sure everyone is delighted to be welcoming these warmer months.
Glossybox Wake Up in Spring Beauty Box - April 2021 review
With the sight of the sun in the sky (and some snow), flowers in bloom and the nights being lighter, the team over at Glossybox HQ have curated a box which features 5 products and it is not only worth over £50, there is also three full size products across the make-up, body product and skincare ranges.

The first product out of the box comes from Minus 417 with their Serenity Legend Hydrating Dead Sea Bath Salts (100g).
Glossybox Wake Up in Spring Beauty Box - April 2021 review
Feel the ultimate relaxation and soothing experience of pure Dead Sea mineral salts after a long day, these salts are enriched with unique healing minerals. As well as helping to enhance your skins ability to retain moisture and assist in the renewal of skin cells.

The second product in the box comes from Sophia and Mabelle with an Eyeshadow Quad Palette which is full sized.
Glossybox Wake Up in Spring Beauty Box - April 2021 review
I have the Aphrodite Palette which features four eyeshadows in differing shades of pink with one darker shade, they are a mix of both matte and satin shimmer tones which are designed to enhance your eye makeup look. As lovely as the shades are, I personally, I am not convinced that it is worth £25 which is the RRP on their website.

The third product within this months box comes from a brand called Feel Free and it is their Antioxidant Eye Contour Cream, which is another full sized product.
Glossybox Wake Up in Spring Beauty Box - April 2021 review
This eye contour cream contains hyaluronic acid which moisturises the skin around the eyes and it also gives a light plumping effect, reduces the look of wrinkles, removes those pesky dark circles and swelling. It contains ingredients such as Aloe Vera, coffee, rice extracts, lemon, mint and apple extracts. The cream itself is really light in texture and applies more like a serum, but is definitely cooling on the skin.

The fourth product in this box comes from Skin & Co with the Roma Truffle Therapy Morning Dew Gel Cleanser.

Another brand I haven't come across until this box. Ideal for dry and sensitive skin types, this gentle daily cleanser formulated to thoroughly cleanse skin, uplift and brighten the complexion, and protect from free radical and environmental damage. It uses Black Truffle extract which is said to fortify the skin with powerful antioxidant enzymes, Umbrian botanicals which refresh the skin as well as to dissolve impurities, Papaya extract which brighten and minimises the appearance of blemishes, all the while improving the skin's texture and tone.

The final item in the box comes from a brand called DWTN Paris, which again is a brand I am not familiar with. Inside the box is a full sized Liquid Blush.
Glossybox Wake Up in Spring Beauty Box - April 2021 review
Formulated with 99% natural ingredients and totally vegan, this dwtn Paris blush is described as being the ideal product not only give those cheeks a pop of colour, but to bring a glowy touch to your makeup look. I find this blush to be quite pigmented, so you only need a small amount to be buffered onto your skin, though it is buildable depending on how of a pop of colour you want.  I am not usually a fan of blush, but I really like the shade of this and that I can tap it onto my skin using my fingers.

So there you have this months box. As with the March Edition of Glossybox, I really enjoyed the theme and I loved that there is a mixture of brands that I haven't come across or am not too familiar with. Plus, there is something for everyone whether you like skincare or makeup, there is the offering of both within this box.

As you will all know, Glossybox is a beauty box subscription service and it costs as little as £11 per month here*. If you have followed the Glossybox journey over the past year, then you will know that most boxes sell out super quickly, so I expect this one to do just that.
