It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder - Supersized

I do love a good supersized product and It Cosmetics, have of late, supersized quite a few of their products for QVC, including their CC+ Cream which I shared a few months back. Today sees the turn of the much coveted Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder and that too has been supersized for QVC.

As someone with combination oily skin, a eating powder has always been in my stash and over the years I’ve tried quite a few different ones. One brand I hadn’t tried until recently was It Cosmetics, so I was keen to give Bye Bye Pores a try.
Experience your most skin-loving, airbrushed look from our Bye Bye Pores Loose! Developed with skin-experts, Bye Bye Pores Loose finishing powder is designed to blur the appearance of pores and imperfections with Optical Blurring Technology. The universal translucent powder has a silky, skin-perfecting finish, and can be applied throughout the day for on-the-go touch-ups.
As you can see, the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder is a finishing loose powder, one that is translucent with a mattifying finish but that’s not all, it’s job, as the name might suggest, is to blur your pores as well as mask imperfections. To do this, the finishing powder uses Optical Blurring Technology and has been designed with the help of plastic surgeons, which if I am honest just fascinates me.

Bye Bye Pores has a really fine texture to it, it isn’t thick or too light, though once applied it is lightweight in feel. It is also what is termed a ‘universal translucent shade’ meaning that whatever your skin tone, it imparts a silky, skin-perfecting finish and I’ve found it doesn’t oxidise either. If like me, you have combination-oily skin and find the mid-afternoon shine a tad annoying, this powder works incredibly well in place of your blotting papers too!.  It can be worn over make up to set your look or it can be used all by itself too, so it is as perfect for those no make-up days as it is for those 'I need a full face' kind of day.

I absolutely love that this is a translucent powder and having worn it both on a bare face and with make-up, it is one of those products that I now cannot imagine being without. With the application, as you can see, this pot comes with a powder-puff for easy application, but you can also use your favourite face brush and I tend to switch between the two. Depending on my day ahead, which more often than not will involve either a Zoom or Teams meeting, I will use this on my whole face if I have applied makeup, or concentrate on my t-zone if I am bare-faced - by which I mean there will be mascara and a tinted moisturiser/serum involved.
lurs the pores away and tames the shininess of my combination skin
The swatch above, which as always is unedited, is just a great loose powder which does exactly as it claims it will do - blurs the pores away and helps deal the shininess of my combination skin.

This particular It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder has been supersized and is available from QVC for just £32 for 14g which is an absolute bargain when you can buy the original 6.8g option for £24, so you are getting more than double product for just £8 more.

Drops Of Youth Bouncy Jelly Mist from The Body Shop

As many of us have been working from home for some time now and owing to lockdown are staying indoors for much longer periods than we are used too, it doesn’t mean your skin is safe from environmental aggressors. As well as wearing sunscreen, which you should still be doing, your skin is still subject to indoor pollution such as dust, smoke from cooking and of course blue light from digital devices.
Drops Of Youth Bouncy Jelly Mist from The Body Shop
Putting all of the above into account, The Body Shop have created a brand new product - Drops Of Youth Bouncy Jelly Mist which sits within the Drops of Youth Range* and it has been designed to protect the skin from that indoor pollution, as well as the effects of blue light. Blue light is something you will see mentioned quite a lot from brands and it is not just something which is emitted from the Sun, it also comes from those devices we all seem obsessed with having in our hands or on our laps - think phones, computers, tablets, all the things we use to keep up to date with what is or isn’t going on in the world, be it to communicate with family and friends or to fulfil our daily working life. A simple Google will give you information on blue light, sometime referred too as High Energy Visible or HEV light and the changes it can make to your sleeping pattern, your skin tone and skin health. It’s not a subject I am an expert in and whilst it does fascinate me, I do try as best as o can to limit my time scrolling on my phone, the iPad and other devices if I don’t need to use them.
Drops Of Youth Bouncy Jelly Mist from The Body Shop
So, this Drops of Youth Bouncy Jelly Mist (£16) is made with 96% of ingredients from a natural origin. Included you will find Edelweiss Stem Cells which is the hero ingredient and it is known for its abilities to thrive in the most extreme weather conditions. Within this Jelly Mist, it’s job is to help your skin feel hydrated and fresh all day long. Then we have Criste Marine which helps to improve the skins elasticity and radiance and then Sea Holly which improves skin texture, hydration, and firmness.

The Drops of Youth Bouncy Jelly Mist can form part of a skincare routine with two further products in the range.

Step One - Exfoliate. For this you need the improved Drops of Youth Liquid Peel (£18.50). Designed to gently remove impurities, lifting dead skin cells and other detritus sitting on the surface. What I love about using this Peel is that it is a gel to peel and it feels delightful on the skin.
As with the Jelly Mist, this Peel is also infused with a blend of three plant stem cells, edelweiss, sea holly and criste marine and with it you will find Fair Trade moringa seed oil. You only need 2-3 drops to massage it into the skin and as it comes into contact you can see all the dead skin come away into little balls and all without irritation. I’ve found it works best to remove with a Muslin cloth. The second step is Smooth and for this you need Drops of Youth Concentrate. This gel like serum has a really lightweight texture that is so soothing on the skin.

As with the other two products mentioned, these drops also contain Edelweiss, Sea Holly and Criste Marine as well as Moringa Seed Oil and Babassu Oil. Together they leave the skin feeling instantly smoother, replenished with moisture and all without that greasy after feel. It’s a delight to use and because it comes with a pipette dispenser, it is easy to apply.

Then to finish your routine, you just need a quick spritz of the Drops of Youth Bouncy Jelly Mist, which you can use as and when you need too.

As a trio of products, they are quite the force!  I always like the option of being able to create a routine with products or have the option to fit one into my existing routine, both of which you can do with any of these three products.  The Drops of Youth Liquid Peel is just brilliant, you can see the difference to your skin as it works its magic and the Jelly Mist, which, given the current snowy weather and cold weather elements, has been a delight to use too and a much welcomed addition to my 'working from home' desk. The Drops of Youth Concentrate, i've taken to use in an evening, it is perfect after applying a mask and it leaves my skin silky smooth.

If this trio of products has caught your attention, you can find them all right here* with The Body Shop and with them are further additions to the range, which sound equally divine.
