NeuroSkinFeeds - The MicroOil

Discovering new brands is definitely a perk of blogging. I have met so many new brands during 2020, despite the Pandemic doing its best to bring the world to a standstill.  One of those brands is NeuroSkinFeeds with their product called The MicroOil.
NeuroSkinFeeds - The MicroOil
Whenever I am sent products to try, such as this one, I really like to ensure I have given it a good few weeks of use before sharing my thoughts, something I am proud of doing. I have had this oil for a few months now and having never come across the brand or the product, I am impressed with what I have tried.

Suitable for all skin types, this oil is described as being an oil that takes care of your skin, your mind and your mood. As a formula, it is also a  lightweight super skin serum, packed with omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. I have combination oily skin, so whilst I can have a shiny face come mid-afternoon, my skin is also quite dry, especially around my t-zone, so I do find that oils are my friend.
NeuroSkinFeeds - The MicroOil
Packaged in a 50ml bottle, this oil is dispensed using a pipette, which I love to use when it comes to products such as those one and, as well as being vegan, 100% natural and cruelty-free, this oil is packaged full of amazing ingredients, which, as mentioned, are chosen to look after your skin and balance your mood and your mind. You will find,
  • Camelina Sativa oil - This is a strong antioxidant due to high vitamin E content; acts as an anti-inflammatory, it also calms sensitised skin, whilst adding moisture; boosts the immune system and because it is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, it is suitable for all skin conditions.
  • Plukentia volubilis seed oil - This one protects against the damaging effects of sun exposure; helps to regulate oil production; maintains elasticity; soothes and prevents inflammation; promotes softness, smoothness, and suppleness; hydrates the skin without clogging the pores and it also helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines
  • Sweet almond oil - Described as being a skin-conditioner, ot only does it help to soften, nourish and hydrate, it also adds nutrients including calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, and vitamin E which together help to replenish and reduce dryness in the upper layers of the skin; it also adds moisture and relieve itching; helps to minimise signs of premature ageing and it also creates a natural glow.
  • Squalene oil - An ingredient I love to see in products because of how good it is for the skin, it helps to fight off skin-damaging free radicals which as well know, contribute to the signs of ageing. It also helps to balance oil production; it has anti-inflammatory properties and helps with skin conditions such as acne and eczema. It also helps to boost blood circulation, promoting the formation of collagen for firmer, plumper skin.
These oils have been selected not just because of the benefits they have for the skin but also for the benefit they have when it comes to creating a positive effect on mental wellbeing. This is because they contain ingredients such as tryptophan, a precursor for serotonin and serotonin is the key hormone that stabilises our mood, feelings of well-being, and happiness, to many it is known as the feel-good hormone. Omega 3 also reduces inflammation in the brain, which can cause mood shifts, headaches and more.

Knowing it does all of this, the advice when it comes to use is to press 2- 4 drops into the palm of your hands and then press onto a freshly cleansed face and neck morning and night after toning, but before the application of your moisturiser or sunscreen.  The oil does have a really clean scent, not one you would immediately pick up on straight away as there isn't an ingredient which dominates, but is subtle.

As for my skin, applying it twice a day after cleansing, especially when my skin is feeling quite dry has been a delight, being non-greasy it doesn't leave a film on the skin, what it does is absorb into the skin and with it comes a hydrated feeling, not forgetting that my skin feels soft and smooth to the touch.

Priced at £49 here, this is an absolute luxury but divine.

The next product I have comes from Mudmasky with their Serum Infused Eye Mask. Mud mask is a brand I’ve come to know for beauty boxes and this is the first time, in whilst that I’ve got to use a skincare product rather than hair care product.
Glossybox - The Power of Beauty, January Edition
This Serum-infused Eye Mask is said to have been specifically formulated for the thin and sensitive skin under your eyes. It contains a super-high level of natural antioxidants. Its job is to improve the elasticity of the skin after 4 – 7 uses and in doing that, the skin under your eyes is said to look visibly less dark and less sunken.

The final item within my box comes from You are sanitiser with a hand disinfectant gel.
Glossybox - The Power of Beauty, January Edition
I have always used hand gel, for as long as I can remember and it’s a product I always have in my hand bag, on my desk and usually there is some in the bathroom too. This one Is the hand sanitiser gel with 75% ethanol. It kills 99.999% Germs whilst increasing your skin moist by 34%. What I really like about it is it’s a handy size for keeping in your handbag.

This months Glossybox is definitely more practical and serious rather than fun and I am okay with that. I like the theme, I like the products, I love that there is a mixture of brands and of course whether you like skincare or makeup, there is the offering of both within this box.

As you will all know, Glossybox is a beauty box subscription service and it costs as little as £11 per month here*. If you have followed the Glossybox journey over the past year, then you will know that most boxes sell out super quickly, so I expect this one to do just that.

Tutti London Skincare Collection

I have been using a selection of skincare products from Tutti London for months now and they're a brand you might recognise for their amazing candles, but there is a whole host of other products to be discovered too across ranges such as Wellbeing, the Men's collection and of course the candles.
Tutti London Skincare Collection
The skincare range is said to contain all the best ingredients to create the perfect regime, tailored to meet every need.  Each product, be it the cleansing balm to the serum has a unique concept behind it and is said to perfectly represent the core of Tutti London as a brand: eco and vegan-friendly, plant-based, chemical-free and completely cruelty-free.

Anyone who reads my blog will know just how much of a fan I am of cleansing, it is by far the favourite part of my skincare routine.  Something about being able to remove the days face from your skin and nothing beats that freshly cleansed skin.  From Tutti London is a Cleansing Balm (£22) which is just divine.
Tutti London Skincare Collection
This buttery balm, which sits inside a glass jar is a delight to use. It contains organic Sweet Almond and Jojoba Oils, which act as a natural emulsifier as it works to unclog pores as well as to lift grime and impurities at the same time Also included is Camellia Oil whose job it is to revitalise the skin and then finally we have the inclusion of vitamin E, which as an antioxidant promotes healthy skin growth.

I find that I only need a small amount to cleanse my face, but you can also use this balm as a facemask as well and you simply leave it on your skin for around 10 minutes before rinsing it from your skin. After using, not only does my skin feel soft to the touch, but it also feels clean.

The second product within this collection is the Walnut Oil Cream (£30) and it is described as being the perfect botanical combination of intensive performance and comfortable texture, so its job is lift, firm and hydrate.
Tutti London Skincare Collection
Designed to work wonders on skin which is dehydrated, this cream is enriched with Spilanthes Extract, Pumpkin seeds, Red Raspberry seeds and Macadamia Oil which work together to firm and re-invigorate. Next comes Frankincense, Geranium and Patchouli and they work to tone and balance the skin. For Tutti London, the star ingredient within this cream is Pseudo Collagen which is said to be a soluble, natural and cruelty-free material that comes from yeast cells and it mimics the effect of Collagen and contains a moisturising complex of sugars and proteins that in turn create elasticity and resilience within the skin to give it a healthy and youthful appearance.

Alongside the Walnut Cream is this Walnut Oil Serum (£28) which is described as being a botanical intensive facelift - I term I found rather intriguing. Perfect for every skin type, this serum is one of the fastest absorbing ones I have ever tried.
Tutti London Skincare Collection
Made with  cold-pressed, locally sourced Walnut Oil and with it you will find Macadamia, Pumpkin, Argan and Baobab oils, all of which work to nourish, condition, rejuvenate, hydrate and promote skin elasticity. Alongside Vitamins A and E is also the inclusion of Spilanthes Acmella flower extract, which is often hailed as ‘Botox In A Bottle', is 100% natural helps to firm, smooth and visibly lift the skin, whilst Rosemary extract prolongs shelf life.

On the skin, what I love about this serum is that it isn't greasy, it doesn't leave a film on the skin. What it does is absorb as soon as it comes into contact with the skin and helps to hydrate skin, especially dry skin. For me, my forehead has been through a bit of a dehydrated patch and I've been using this serum to help alleviate the issue, which it has almost done.

The final product with this collection is an item everyone needs within their stash, whether you are really into your skin care, are trying to get yourself into a routine or are just on the road to discovering. That item is a Muslin cloth.
Tutti London Skincare Collection
These cloths are crafted from top quality organic cotton and they are so soft and smooth to touch, but don't let that foul you because they are brilliant, when used with warm water, they are perfect to use when it comes to washing off the Cleansing Balm, because along with the excess product, it also cleans the skin, removing all the loosened dirt, grim and other detritus that the balm has dissolved.

Three incredible products from a brand who I knew of for their candles, the Muslin cloths are simply divine to use and the cleansing balm is my favourite of the products featured. If you are looking to change your skincare over to a brand who offers products which are eco and vegan-friendly, plant-based, chemical-free and completely cruelty-free, then Tutti London is the one to be looking at for these wonderful products.
