The Best Of New Beauty At Boots

An email lands in my inbox to remind me that I have almost £80 in Boots Advantage Points and with it comes a list of offers I might like to look at.  It has been some time since I have had a proper splurge in Boots, my local store is absolutely useless and has next to nothing I want to purchase and in all honesty, it needs updating to the point one of the doors doesn't even open.  So, I tend to buy what I need online, unless I am going past a Boots Store on Oxford Street here in London, and have it delivered to my local store.
The Best Of New Beauty At Boots
To that end, when the email landed in my inbox today, I was surprised that with a quick browse just how many new brands Boots has got their hands on recently - Nine in fact.  For me, Boots is the store when I want to stock up on Sugar Crush from Soap & Glory, a top-up of Glow Tonic from Pixi or if they manage to tempt me in on a 3 for 2 deal. I tend to leave Beauty to the bigger department stores because they have what want. But now that could change.

Too Faced - One of the biggest surprises to me was that Too Faced is now available from Boots. There is everything from the best sellers such as Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara to Hangover Primer, Sweet Peach and Born This Way Collections and that is before we get to the travel size editions!   I absolutely love Too Faced as a brand and I am so chuffed to find I no longer have to drag myself off to Carnaby Street to buy the products I want, though I do absolutely love the store!

Becca - This was the biggest surprise to me and perhaps I have been living under some kind of cloud when the news of this dropped. My knowledge of Becca products isn't all that because I have only used a limited number of products from the range. What we have in Boots is the cult classics and bestsellers when it comes to highlighters, bronzers, concealers and what excites me the most is the Becca Ultimate Lipstick Love which I have had my eye on for some time now.

Nude by Nature - This is a brand I have only ever seen in Debenhams and not always easy to get too to try.  So now we have it in Boots and again, as with Becca and Too Faced, it is quite an extensive collection of products.  As a brand, Nude by Nature is a make-up range 100% naturally derived, cruelty-free and with no synthetic ingredients. I have been wanting to try quite a few products from nude by nature especially the Radiant Loose Powder Complexion and I also love the sound of the Complexion Essentials Starter Kit which looks like a great introduction to the brand too.

BYBI - BYBI stands for By Beauty Insiders and I have featured them here on this blog a few times now (here and here) and I love the brand.   There has been quite a few new launches of late and I am really chuffed to see them on the Boots website and I have my eye on the Buriti Booster and the MegaMist.

Tony Moly - Naturally as someone who absolutely loves K-Beauty, to see Tony Moly somewhere other than in TKMaxx and Amazon is quite the treat.  Tony Moly was one of the very first K-Beauty brands I used and if you love facemasks which are a little bit kooky, then that box is well and truly ticked with Tony Moly.  I now have my eye on the Chok Chok Green Tea range which sounds just incredible.

Skyn Iceland - A brand which harnesses mineral-rich Icelandic glacial water alongside Arctic superfruits as well as pure, encapsulated oxygen to create ultimate solutions for stressed-out skin. I am a big fan of the Hydra Cool Firming Eye Gels and am looking forward to getting my hands on a few more products from the range.

Too Cool For School - This is a brand I have seen but haven't tried and again it sits firmly within the K-Beauty section.  If you want something that sounds as equally wonderful as it does weird then the Egg Mousse Collection is definitely something you be on the lookout for!

Tan Luxe - If you a fan of fake tan then Boots will now be offering you Tan Luxe, a collection of products that are said to have been formulated without heavy pigments, no smell and perhaps most importantly no streaks.

Finally, we have Balance Me.  As a brand, Balance Me is one I have written about on this blog quite a few times and whilst I have my eye on the Congested Skin Sheet Masks, as a brand, I am so glad to see some of my favourite products are now on sale in Boots.

I am really looking forward to seeing these brands in store as well as online* and I am definitely going to be on the lookout for new counters and stand-alone shelves so I can browse at my leisure and finally think about spending some of those well-earned points.

Has any of these brands excited you by being on offer in Boots?

MOR Marshmallow Collection

I have featured a few products from MOR on my blog previously and they include the Snow Gardenia Little Luxuries Range and the Marshmallow Deluxe Candle. If you have never come across MOR as a brand, they are a bath, Body and Lifestyle brand from Melbourne Australia and there is something quite luxe about the entire range and they are available at Feelunique.  Today I am sharing three more products from the MOR Marshmallow range.
MOR Marshmallow Collection
The first item I have is the Triple Milled Marshmallow Soap which comes encased in one of the fanciest looking boxes I have ever seen for a soap to be housed in.

Inside, the soap is a beautiful bright pink shade and is intricately embossed on both sides to mirror the outer casing and as soon as the lid is removed, the first thing you can smell is the sweetness of the Marshmallow.
MOR Marshmallow Triple Milled Soap
Enriched with Shea Butter and Vitamin E to not only ensure this soap is moisturising, there is a whole host of other ingredients too as well as an amazing description.
A pretty perfume in bloom with whimsy and flirty floral notes of Snow Musk, Jasmine and White Carnations. Flowering with delicate Marshmallow and Vanilla this sweet scent is a playful contrast of dewy English Rose and sugar-kissed petals. Undeniably memorable, this fanciful and feminine fragrance will mesmerise and delight.
For me, the scent of this soap is just as stunning as it was within the candle that I also have and if you like a sweet floral fragrance then you would love this.

The second product is the Marshmallow Perfume Oil which comes packaged inside this under cute Roller Ball pen.
MOR Marshmallow Perfume Oil
Designed to be rolled directly onto the pulse points, this fragrance is infused with Rosehip, Vitamin E, Sweet Almond Oil and it smells just incredible on the skin, so soft and smooth with just the right floral hit.

The final product I have as part of my trio is the Marshmallow Lip Balm and again, it comes presented so beautiful with an outer box which has so much detail that really shows it off. Inside there is a gold tin which looks equally divine.
MOR Marshmallow Lip Balm Tin
MOR Marshmallow Lip Balm
This balm is enriched with both Coconut and Jojoba Seed oils which are nourishing as well as being blended with honey and beeswax. What I love about this lip balm is that on the lips it feels incredibly soft and it smells just incredible too.

MOR describe themselves as being creators of beautifully crafted bath, body and lifestyle luxuries for those seeking indulgent escapes from the everyday.
Embarking on our sensory journey in 2001 from Australia’s culture capital Melbourne, we continue to awaken senses worldwide with collections inspired by tales of ancient civilizations, bygone eras, travel and art. Perfumed with signature scents and formulated with selected natural ingredients, each collection evokes a multi-sensory experience to transform your bathing routine into an indulgent daily ritual.
For me, what I love about this range is the attention to detail when it comes to both the outer packaging of a product as well as the actual product itself too.

Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint Collection Review And Swatches

Revlon is a brand that got me through my teens as I began to discover makeup, so I am pleased to see it is still around as just as popular as it ever has been. Over recent months I have been lucky enough to feature some pretty incredible new launches including the Kiss Plumping Lip Cremes and the Volumising Mascara.  Today is the turn of the new Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Collection Tint, which is inspired by K-Beauty, got me a tad excited to try them out.
Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint Collection Review And Swatches
Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint Collection
I loved these Lip Tints as soon as I opened them to use and whilst they look similar to the Lancome Juicy Shakers crossed with Revlon Colourburst Lip Balm, they are incredibly easy to use and they cost just £7.99 each.

I have six of the ten shades available and there is a wide range of colours available to suit all preferences.  Once the lid has been removed, underneath is where the similarity to the Lancome Juicy Shakers come to life because there is a cushion tip.  In order to produce a hint of colour, rather than shaking the product, you instead twist the ring, which is found at the bottom of the pencil until the colour starts to appear.  At this stage, you can control how much or how little of colour you want.
Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint Cushion
Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint Cushion Colour
Described as being a 'Plush tip for a lush lip! With its soft cushion tip, this lip tint delivers a stain of color—and tons of moisture'. Infused with Coconut Oil, which also gives each of the tints a slight coconut scent too, which I love. The Cushion tip is designed to help evenly distribute the tint onto your lips and as it begins to dry, you can re-apply to build more colour and then as it dries, it gives the look of a blotted lip shade, this effect is inspired by the K-Beauty Popsicle lip trend.

The six shades I have are:
  • High End Coral – an intense bright orange.
  • Pink IRL – a sheer cool toned medium pink.
  • Pretty Kiss – a super sheer pinky brown nude.
  • Berry Lit – an intense bright fuchsia pink.
  • Crimson Feels – a bold bright red.
  • Fancy Rose – a deep, intense brown nude.

I have tried all of these shades over the past few weeks and not only are they incredibly nourishing and moisturising on the lips, but I also love how easy they are to use and apply and they impart enough colour to be noticeable and last long enough so that you don't need to constantly re-apply.

The swatches shown above are completely unedited and what you see is the shade you get upon a swatch. All six of the shades are really easy to wear, they feel comfortable and not in the slightest bit drying.  On application, they have the feel of a balm and as the days go on, the sheen that you see dries away and what is left is that blotted stain look which I really like for those no makeup days when I want to wear very little.  My favourite shade of the six above changes depending on my mood but I tend to opt for Pretty Kiss most often.

Have you tried the Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tints?

Fushi Bio-Vedic Face Care Collection

I tried Fushi for the first time in the run-up to Christmas when I featured their Heavenly Rose and Jasmine gift set as part of my Christmas gift guide series. Today I have The Fushi Bio-Vedic Face Care Collection which is their newest range to share today and it is beautiful.
Fushi Bio-Vedic Face Care Collection
The Fushi Bio-Vedic Face Care Collection is said to have been inspired by Ayurvedic wisdom and the range is said to perfectly emulate Fushi's passion for unrefined pure beauty oils and Ayurvedic herbs to form a unique, all-natural revitalising skincare collection. This range has been created to leave the skin supple, radiant and velvety soft without greasy feeling, this simple 3-step skincare regime celebrates the benefits of fresh oils and herbs – core to Fushi – for the skin.

The first product is my favourite of the three and it is the Fushi Bio-Vedic Enzyme Face wash (£15 for 150ml).
“The Biovedic™ Enzyme Face wash is formulated to boost cell renewal and leave your skin glowing and radiant. This refreshing and gentle botanical wash contains revitalising herbs and oils including Rice Bran oil known for its skin brightening and deep-moisturising capability and Vanshlochan stem extract to cleanse and revive the skin, leaving it soft and dewy fresh."
Designed to be used 1-2 times per week, this face wash not only nourishes and hydrates the skin, but it also work as the perfect exfoliator to rejuvenate a tired looking complexion.
Fushi Bio-Vedic Enzyme Face Wash
Using the herb Manjistha to promote long term skin radiance, it also contains Rose Otto, which is an uplifting and beautiful, sweet, floral scent.= which is known for its calming effects on the skin. Kalahari Melon Seed Oil is also used and it is known for its antioxidant and restorative properties.  Rice Bran oil is also used and it is known for its skin brightening and deep-moisturising capability and also Vanshlochan stem extract to cleanse and revive the skin, leaving it soft and dewy fresh.

The second product is the Fushi Bio-Vedic Daily Face Cream (£20 for 50ml).  This cream is described as being a:
"Nourishing, hydrating face cream with revitalising herbs and oils to revive the skin, leaving it soft and radiant. Our Biovedic™ Face Cream is a blend with revitalising herbs and oils to deliver long lasting nourishment, absorb rapidly and leave the skin supple, radiant and velvet soft.".
Perfect for daily use, this cream should be massaged into your face and neck as part of your skincare routine.
Fushi Bio-Vedic Daily face Cream
The Biovedic™ Radiance Face Cream,as with the Enzyme Wash, consists of Ayurvedic herb Manjisthta and Kalahari Melon Seed and Rice Bran oils. Manjistha is carefully infused in this wonderfully nourishing formula for its skin brightening properties. Rice Bran is rich in sterols, protective and a penetrative oil that sinks into the skin’s dermis and keeps it supple and soft all day. Again there is the inclusion of Kalahari Melon seed is an oil which is known for its incredible antioxidant, non-comedogenic and restorative properties. It boosts skin elasticity, moisture and is age defying.

The final product within this trip is the Fushi Bio-Vedic Radiance Facial Oil (£22 for 30ml).
The Biovedic™ Radiance Face oil is an ultra-nourishing lightweight face oil blended with 5 incredible nutrient dense oils including the protective Raspberry Seed, age defying Kalahari Melon Seed, skin brightening Rice Bran and vitamin rich Moringa among others. Infused with skin rejuvenating Ayurvedic herb Manjistha to deliver long lasting care and nourishment. It absorbs rapidly and leaves the skin supple, radiant and velvet soft.
I absolutely love facial oils and if my skin is feeling really parched I will add one into my skincare routine.
Fushi Bio-Vedic Radiance Facial Oil
There are a few ways in which you can use this oil and it depends on your preference. You can apply it directly to the skin or, my own preference is to add a few drops to my moisturising cream.

The ingredients within this oil include Red Raspberry seed oil which has excellent antioxidant properties and it helps to reduce the damages of free radicals as well as to soothe and improve both tone and elasticity of the skin. Kalahari Melon seed is an oil which is known for its incredible antioxidant and it also has an incredibly high Vitamin E content and up to 70% Linoleic acid, which promotes skin elasticity and is age defying. As with the other products in this range, Rice Bran oil also makes an appearance and it is a highly protective oil that protects the skin from pollution and acts as a natural sunscreen. It's rich in sterols which helps blood circulation and prevents skin puffiness. It is an excellent source of vitamin E, and a very penetrative oil that sinks into the skin's dermis and keeps it supple and soft all day.

I absolutely love this collection of products, for me, the stand out is the Enzyme Facial Wash because you really can feel a difference in your skin when you use it.  I love that there is a story behind the collection, more so that the packaging reflects the unique ingredients, distinctive heritage and Ayurvedic inspiration.  The meditative pattern is designed to embody the Fushi Mandala petals and the idea is to invite the user in, past the white borders to peace and calm of the inner world.

The Fushi Bio-Vedic collection is available from www.fushi.co.uk and it can also be in stores such as Wholefoods, Ocado, Naturisimo and other health and beauty retailers.
