touch in SOL METALLIST Liquid Foil Lipstick Duo

I mentioned last week when I reviewed touch in SOL Pretty Filter Waterglow cream (here) that there was a whole lot of newness coming from this amazing brand and today sees the turn of the Metallist Liquid Foil Lipstick Duo Collection.  I have five shades to share with you and whether you like to stand out from the crowd or go unnoticed, there will be a shade right here for you, it just depends how you choose to wear it!

Penny, Jasmine, Sophie, Dyllis and Bonita come packaged inside clear see-through tubes and what I love is that you can not only see the shades, but you can also see the foil too.  Each side has an applicator which ensures the liquid lipstick and the foil don't become mixed together.

If you are familiar with products like this, touch in SOL also do amazing Metallist Liquid Foil and Glitter Shadow too (review here) then using them is really easy.  The advice is to apply the liquid lipstick and allow it to sit for a minute until it becomes quite tacky to the touch, at this point, you apply the foil on the top.

On the left is the liquid lipstick applicator which has a doe foot to make the application easy and on the right, if the foil applicator which is a slightly different shape, but it works perfectly with the textures.

The Liquid lipstick looks amazing on its own and I find it is perfect day wear, then for going out in an evening, re-apply and add the foil to really make things come to life.
touch in SOL METALLIST Liquid Foil Lipstick Duo Swatches
What I love about these Foil Lipstick Duo's is that they are not drying and don't leave your lips as though they might crack if you smile, instead they feel hydrated and moisturised and the foil doesn't scratch or dry tight.  From the swatches above, you can see just how amazing each of the shades look with or without the foil, though my personal favourite is to use the foil on top of course.   So with the swatches, the furthest part if the liquid lipstick, in the middle is the foil and the third swatch is both the liquid and the foil together.

I have loved getting to know these shades.  Bonita is the one I feared the most because she is so bright whether you use her alone or with the foil but it is a beautiful shade.  The ones I have worn the most, which will come as no surprise is Dyllis, Jasmine and Penny, all of whom sit within the comfortable nude/neutral section and I like that I can mix and match the foils as I see fit.  These are some of the longest lasting liquid lipsticks I have used and once your chosen shade has dried, there is no transference, it doesn't fade quickly and even with the foil, it lasts a good 5-6 hours.

The touch in SOL Metallist Liquid Foil Lipstick Duo's are priced at £20 each and you and you can find them at Boots.

I would love to know if anything from touch in SOL grabs your attention!

Emma Hardie Purifying Pink Clay Detox Mask

I absolutely love Emma Hardie skincare and make no secret of my love for the Moringa Cleansing Balm (review here).  Today sees the turn of the Purifying Pink Clay Detox Mask and it has been in my stash since the event launch last year, I wanted to give a try a good few times before sharing my thoughts with you.
Emma Hardie Purifying Pink Clay Detox Mask
Emma Hardie Purifying Pink Clay Detox Mask and Dual Action Cloth
Packaged inside the notable gold pot, this mask which comes with an accompanying Dual-Action Cleansing Cloth is described as being a botanical-rich, purifying and detoxifying mask that deeply cleanses and balances skin, exfoliating gently to remove impurities and refine pores.

Using Australian pink clay which improves the skin’s natural moisture levels as it cleanses and refines as well as Emma Hardie’s trademarked ‘Defensil’ technology which reduces redness and inflammation to leave your complexion looking much smoother and more even there is also the brand’s signature moringa seed oil, which is not only rich in vitamins C and E, it also provides antioxidant protection, deflecting skin-damaging environmental pollutants. My skin often reacts to using clay within products and I always do a patch test just to be safe. Thankfully, I suffered no reaction and have found that my skin absolutely loves everything this mask has to offer.
Emma Hardie Purifying Pink Clay Detox Mask
To use the mask, you simply need to smooth a thin layer of Purifying Detox Pink Clay Mask over the skin, being careful to avoid the eye area and obviously after cleansing to remove absolutely everything that is sitting or lurking on your skin. The mask helpfully comes with its own spatula to remove the mask out of the pot and onto the back of your hand to make the application a lot easier. Once it has been applied to the skin, the advice is to leave it for around 10-15 minutes to work its magic. As the mask works on the skin, grab the Dual-Action Professional Cleansing Cloth and soak it in warm water, squeeze out any excess and use to gently remove the Clay Mask from the skin.

This mask is designed to be used once a week or as needed for balanced, deeply cleansed skin.  You can also use it to multi-mask and it works as the perfect partner to Emma Hardie's Moringa Renewal Treatment Mask.

Priced at £40 you can find the Emma Hardie Purifying Pink Clay Detox Mask right here at Cult Beauty.

Alpha-H 3 Piece Radiant Skin Collection including 200ml Liquid Gold

If you hadn't guessed by now that I absolutely adore Alpha-H, I don't know how I could make it more obvious. Over the past few years, I have really loved getting to know the products and understanding how best to use them with my own skin, much of that advice coming from both Tommy and Michelle themselves. Having been around for 24 years, Alpha-H formulate all of their own products and now have over 2000 clinics worldwide offering Alpha-H facials - the absolute dream as well as being stocked in over 25 countries including prestige clinics, exclusive day spas, TV shopping networks, cosmetic giant Sephora, department stores Marks & Spencer, Myer and Harvey Nichols, as well as a selection of premium airlines including British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.

Today sees the launch of a brand new member of the Alpha-H family but to get your hands on it before it goes on general sale, it will be part of a QVC TSV right HERE.  The collection also debuts a fresh new look for Alpha-H in 2019 and as part of the brand's commitment to using sustainable packaging with almost 40% of its new tubes and bottles being made from recycled materials.
Alpha-H 3 Piece Radiant Skin Collection including 200ml Liquid Gold
The QVC TSV will feature three products - The Balancing Cleanser with Aloe Vera, a 200ml bottle of Liquid Gold and the brand new Essential Skin Perfecting Moisturiser and it will cost less than £38!

The Balancing Cleanser (200ml) – I loved this cleanser from the first use and am glad to have another one in my stash. If you like a cream cleanser, then this is a really creamy cleanser which is free from dying detergents and SLS's. Not only does it remove absolutely every single trace of makeup that is on your face, including that hard to budge waterproof mascara but it also works as a 3-in-1 product - how? Well, it essentially acts as a makeup remover, cleanser and toner all in one. Enriched with aloe vera to condition and soothe alongside vitamin E to hydrate and neutralise free radicals, after using I love how my skin feels. rather than being dry or taut it is instead cleansed and smooth so I don't feel the need to smother my skin in as much moisturiser as possible.

Liquid Gold 200ml Supersize – Again, you might have noticed that this bottle of joy has had itself a little bit more of a makeover.  I have to confess, I am loving the minimal look white packaging and gold letter of the Alpha-H brand (despite my camera flash not showing it). Liquid Gold is possibly the most known product from the Alpha-H line up and if you haven't tried it, you should. Described as being a powerful firming serum, this works like an 'overnight facial' to tighten and revitalise tired, ageing skin and radically improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, open pores and acne prone skin conditions. Liquorice helps combat acne and hyper-pigmentation, whilst Glycolic Acid (derived from sugar cane), jump-starts the skin's metabolism - refining its texture by dissolving the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, so they're sloughed away with your morning cleanse to reveal a more luminous, glowing complexion. Recently I discovered that you can use Liquid Gold all over the body and not just the face to remove dead and dry skin cells, so that is exactly what I am doing!

The final product of the TSV is the brand new Alpha-H Essential Skin Perfecting Moisturiser and as I have only just got my hands on it, there will be a full review of it coming.
Alpha-H Essential Skin Perfecting Moisturiser SPF 15
Described as being a revolutionary new generation moisturiser, it is a 5-in-1 product which moisturises, primes, shields against blue light and pollution as well as filtering UV light! It has an SPF15 and packed full of scientifically validated antioxidants and is complemented by antioxidant stimulating and skin shielding ingredients. It has a non-greasy, non-whitening formulation and I absolutely love the velvety texture and how quickly it absorbs into the skin.  This is a product to definitely try and get your hands on!

This entire collection goes on presale with QVC at 8am today and you can grab it here or look for QVC item number 237674.

Erborian CC Red Correct

I absolutely love the brand that is Erborian, every single product I have tried, the Black Cleansing Oil being one of my favourites (review here), I have loved and the new CC Red Correct Review is no exception. The Erborian skincare brand, its name derived from 'Herbs of the Orient', was born back in 2007 and can best be described as being a fusion of traditional South Korean beauty remedies and French luxury. Erborian uses natural science and proven ingredients to create unique formulas that rejuvenate and restore skin's luminosity.

Erborian CC Red Correct
Using high-tech, multi-use formulas which help to improve the appearance of your skin, this is the secret to achieving that visibly perfect complexion using Korean skincare. The latest release, CC Red Correct which is described as being a multi-purpose formula which has an ultra-fine texture containing pigments to help correct redness and enhance the skin's appearance and it also has an SPF25.

If you are a regular user of colour correcting products, then you will not be surprised to find that the cream itself has a green tint to it because green does help correct redness and it is one of my most used products to date. Upon application, CC Red Correct adapts precisely to match your skin tone and it does so without turning orange or yellow like similar products have done, instead what it does do is even out the complexion and helps to reduce blemishes.
Erborian CC Red Correct Swatch
CC RED CORRECT contains:
  • Glycerin which is moisturising and helps to prevent skin dehydration.
  • Tiger grass extract (Centella asiatica) which helps to soothe, prevents signs of ageing, contributes to improving the skin's firmness and helps to improve skin elasticity.
  • Vitamin E Antioxidant
  • Green pigments which help to provide colour correction by reducing the appearance of redness.

I apply the CC Red Correct cream using my beauty blender to fab it onto my skin and then blend it onto the parts where I feel it needs to be applied, followed by my foundation or tinted moisturiser and there is no sign of the redness peaking through. It also doesn't change how long my makeup lasts when I use the cream and I do find it is really hydrating because my dryness on each cheek is usually where my skin is the driest.

The Erborian CC Red Correct retails for £17/38 - HERE.
