Glossybox Ft. HUDA Beauty- February 2019

The February edition of Glossybox is a Valentine's themed beauty box featuring none other than HUDA Beauty and it is titled "It's All About Love".  Glossybox are on a roll right now with the last  4 boxes completely selling out and it is expected that this month will be the 5th, so grab it quick.
Glossybox Ft. HUDA Beauty- February 2019
This months box features 5 beauty and skincare products and has a value of over £50 and for me, most excitingly is that inside this box is some Korean skincare and we all know what a fan of K-Beauty I am!

The first product out of the box is the Luxie Beauty Onyx Noir Small Contouring Face Brush. Described as being paraben-free and vegan, this brush is perfect for contouring.
Luxie Makeup Brush
It has really soft but ultra-fine bristles which are made for creamy and powdery textures, blemishing and blending rouge, bronzer and highlighter along the cheekbones, temples, nose and chin.

The second product out of the box is a full-sized bottle of Nails Inc Varnish and I have the shade Status Ready. This Plum red nail polish is absolutely stunning and perfect for Valentines.
Nails Inc Polish
It is described as being super glossy, sultry and long-lasting.  I really like the brushes that come with a Nails Inc polish, they are big enough to cover my nails which means fewer streaks and stress.

Toothpaste isn't usually a product I get excited about admittedly, the mister and I tend to use whatever I pick up at the supermarket.  However, from Regenerate we have the Enamel Science Advanced Toothpaste which is described as being a regenerating, strengthening, mineral restoring toothpaste.
Regenerate Toothpaste
It boasts the unique NR-5 ingredients, is said to reverse the early enamel erosion process whilst at the same time giving you pearly whites teeth and fresh, minty breath.

Up next is the Vitamasque Multivitamin Mask and this is where my love of all things K-Beauty come into play and I couldn't wait to unwrap it and try it out.  Described as being suitable for all skin types, this multi-vitamin mask is packed full of Vitamins B3, B5, B6, C and E which work to soothe, hydrate and nourish your skin.
Vitamasque
The mask itself is made of incredibly thin material and it feels absolutely incredible on the skin, so much so, I have ordered a few more!

As an extra treat, this month Glossybox have included Mugler Alien fushion fragrance samples for him and her.  I know some people are not fans if fragrance samples but I personally like them and the reason for that is being able to give something a try away from a department store/fragrance store in your own environment where you would usually wear your fragrances.
Mugler Fragrances
I am personally not a fan of Alien fragrances as they just don't sit right on my skin but they are described as follows:

  • Alien Fusion for Her: A hot and spicy scent with an intense firey trail.
  • Alien Fusion for Him: A leathery vibrant and addictive fragrance that will awaken his senses.
Both fragrances come in a 30ml and 50ml.

The final item out of the box and the one I am sure most people will be wanting to get their hands on is the Huda Beauty Lip Contour and I have shade Flirt. Designed to help you create a full, enviable pout without having filler.
Huda Beauty Lip Contour - Flirt
Huda Lip Contour Swatch - Flirt
Waterproof and transfer free, the contour pencil literally glides onto the lips and is insanely pigmented, more so than I was expecting to find if I am honest. Flirt is described as being a 90's nude and it is more on the brown side than the more naked nude, but it does apply just absolutely beautifully.

I really like the mixture of products in this months box with both beauty and makeup and obviously, the inclusion of high-end brands such as Huda is always a nice treat.  If this box has caught your imagination, then you can treat yourself or someone you love to this February Box and if you use the code LOVE, you can grab 20% off your first box.

Comfort Zone | Tranquility Kit

I am obsessed with being able to create that Spa sense of Zen at home, I want to walk in and be immediately comforted and relaxed within my surroundings, feel at ease when I sit on the sofa and leave the day of troubles I have had at the door when I close it. Comfort Zone is a brand I was introduced to some time ago and I was lucky enough to win a beautiful gift set in one of their Instagram competitions. With a mission to mission to promote a holistic, soulful, healthy and sustainable lifestyle, with advanced science-based conscious solutions to visibly improve skin, body and mind, it is ticking each and every one of those boxes for me.
Comfort Zone | Tranquility Kit

[ comfort zone ] was conceived in Parma, Italy, in 1996 as the skincare division of Davines Group, a family-owned company still in the caring hands of the Bollati Family. What began as a research laboratory and manufacturing site for the development of high-quality formulas has grown into an internationally awarded and distributed professional range of spa treatments and home care.

I have the Tranquillity collection which is described as follows:

When the frenzy of every day life, stress and lack of sleep take their toll on your mood and affect your vitality and beauty, it’s time for TRANQUILLITY™.
This aromatic nourishing bath and body system contains an exclusive blend of essential oils that help you manage stress and rediscover a sense of profound tranquility and wellbeing.
Free from silicones, parabens, mineral oils and sles, high rate of natural-origin ingredients.
The silky touch textures soft and embracing, nourish and render the skin silky, thanks to a high concentration of oils and butters which bestows extraordinary pleasure and efficacy.
We all know that lack of sleep and stress can cause dangers to our health, I already live with high blood pressure and don't need to any other ailments to the list, so taking time out to de-stress and relax is an important part of my routine, whether it is just 5-10 minutes or an hour - it all helps and this is exactly what Tranquillity is designed to do.

With my gift set, I was presented with three products - a Body Cream, a Hand Cream and a Shower Cream but the range extends much further than that to include a candle, nourishing bath and body oils, a room spray and a body lotion, all of which sound just divine.

The Tranquillity Body Cream is a beautifully rich, nourishing, aromatic body cream that smells just absolutely incredible.  Quite thick in texture, it glides onto the skin and as you massage it in, the fragrance comes to life and is incredibly relaxing.
Comfort Zone Tranquility Body Butter
Ultra nourishing it can be used by all skin types but is especially good for those who have very dry and in temperate and cold climates. Ideal at the end of the day to calm and alleviate stress.

The Tranquillity Hand Cream has been an absolute delight to use and if you follow me on Instagram, then you might have seen this tube in the background of some of my stories.  Lightweight in texture so it absorbs really quickly and rather than being greasy on the skin, it leaves my hands feeling smooth to the touch and scented just incredibly.
Comfort Zone | Tranquility Hand Cream
As with the body cream, this is a hand cream which has a relaxing scent to it and it is one which lingers on the skin and I absolutely love it.

The final product in this trio is quite possibly my favourite and it is the Tranquillity Shower Cream. With its creamy texture, on the skin, it cleanses really well giving that clean feeling, but it is also wonderfully hydrating and soothing too.
Comfort Zone | Tranquility Shower Cream
As the shower cream comes into contact with the hot water and steam, the essential oils spring to life making it perfect for use at the end of the day rather than the beginning because it is designed to calm and alleviate stress along with the rest of the range.

The entire Tranquillity range is enriched with some key essential oils which make these products so wonderful and this includes:

  • Amaranth oil -
  • Cedarwood essential oil
  • Sweet orange essential oil
  • Rose essential oil
  • Sandalwood essential oil
  • Geranium essential oil
  • Vetiver essential oil

Putting all of these oils together, what you get is an immediate sensation of wellbeing, alleviating the state of stress and tension.

The whole Tranquillity range along with other products are available from Feelunique and prices start from £17 and I am really looking forward to grabbing a few other things from the range as a treat.

English Mineral Makeup Company

Mineral makeup is not something I use very much of and know very little about. English Mineral Makeup Company is founded on the belief that you and your skin deserve the very best and with that comes a brand free of chemicals which uses only the best 100% natural mineral ingredients to create the products.

I was kindly sent this beautiful box which features three face products which are all packaged inside their own pot and one of the softest brushes I think I have ever used. The large pink Kabuki brush is one you most definitely can't miss owing to its bright pink bristles and wooden bottom. Created from Talkon fibre and Bamboo, this Large Kabuki is also vegan and perfect for swirling around your powders.
English Mineral Makeup Company Powders

The product which intrigued me the most from my trio of powders is Fairy Godmother and it is described as being a Primer, Fixer, Illuminator and Night Moisture Treatment. The first three I understand and would have expected to find somewhere within the description.  As a multipurpose powder, it contains millions of microscopic prisms which reflect light and give the appearance of fewer wrinkles and fine lines.  Despite being a powder, Fairy Godmother contains Jojoba Oil.  It can be used as a primer before you apply your foundation, BB Cream or tinted moisturises, you can also use blend it with your foundation to give that dewy look, you can use it as a highlighter or as a powder over the top of your makeup but the most interesting of all and something I haven't yet tried is that at night, you can use it as a moisturiser.

When it comes to using Blush, I like something less pink and more rose because it seems to work better with my pale complexion.  Within this collection, I have the shade Rose which has a satin finish and what I really like about it is that you can apply a minimal amount to give a subtle hint of colour, or you can really build it and make it pop.

The final pot contains a highlighter called Moonlight and it is just absolutely beautiful. With its Iridescent blues pinks and golden tones and whether you lightly apply it or build it up, it really brightens up the skin to give it a glow.
English Mineral Makeup Company Swatches
The swatches shown above are unedited and are taken just after each product was swatched on my hand.  At the very front is Moonlight, from which you can see the shines in the light of cold wintery day.  Behind that, we have Rose, which in the light has a slight coral tone to it and I absolutely love how it looks when applied.  The final swatch is Godmother and I've included it so that you can see that despite being a power, it blends just absolutely stunningly onto my skin.

Each one of these powders retails around £27 but you have to be quick to get your hands on them, especially Fairy Godmother because as soon as it is available, it is snapped up.  As well as powders, you can also find Mascaras, Foundations, bronzers and other brushes. This has been a great introduction to the brand and my favourite product, well actually I really have enjoyed using them all and all for very different reasons.

Have you tried anything from the English Mineral Makeup Company?

PixiGlow Cake 3 in 1 Luminous Transition Powders

I have absolutely loved getting to know Pixi Beauty over the past year or so and that stands for both the skincare and the makeup and the one phrase will you hear a lot when it comes to Pixi products is GLOW. Glow Tonic is the cult product which I am no doubt everyone will have heard of if not tried, Glow Mist, Glow Mud Cleanser, Glow Mud Mask, Glow Peel Pads and I am sure quite a few more. Today is the turn of the PixiGlow Cake 3 in 1 Luminous Transition Powders which are available in two different shades.

PixiGlow Cake 3 in 1 Luminous Transition Powders
I have had these two powders for a good few months and I really wanted to give them a try before sharing them with you. The PixiGlow Cake 3 in 1 Luminous Transition Powders are priced at £24 each and they are huge, in fact, they contain 24grams of product making them the biggest highlighters I’ve ever used.
This light-diffusing palette helps to achieve a naturally healthy, radiant complexion with flushed apples of the cheeks, subtle contouring and glowing highlights. The shades in the gradient make it easy to create a sheer wash of luminous colour that enhances your PixiGlow!

There are two different shades available; GildedBare Glow and PinkChampagne Glow, and both versions have an ombréd design within the powder, so you can either use each of the shade on its own or mix and blend them together to create your perfect glow. Each palette contains three essential ingredients which include:
  • Ceramides to help restore the skin’s moisture barrier.
  • Peptides to plump and firm.
  • Grape Seed Extract which helps to improves skin’s elasticity.
It is these three ingredients which work to give your skin that enhanced PixiGlow as you use your blush, bronzer or highlighter.

The first palette is Pink Champagne Glow Powder consists of a really light pink, a medium pink and an almost pinky brown shade which are just stunning on their own but blend them together and you get a really pretty peachy pink shade.

The second palette, which is called GildedBare Glow is my favourite of the two and the one I have used the most and it comprises of a pale champagne shade, a lightish peach and a bronze and when they are blended together you get an almost rose gold shade.
PixiGlow Cake Gildedbare
PixiGlow Cake GildedBare Swatch
Depending on my mood, I switch between using each shade on their own and then together but I also mix between the two palettes because I really like the pinky brown shade of Pink Champagne Glow blended with the pale champagne shade from GildedBare.  I have really loved using both of the PixiGlow Cake 3 in 1 Luminous Transition Powders and I hope they are formulated and packaged into a product I can carry with me in my makeup bag because they are just absolutely lovely to use.

Have you tried the PixiGLow Cake 3 in 1 Luminous Transition Powders from Pixi?
