Holiday Essentials with Caudalie

It seems that Holiday essentials are a 'thing' right now with many brands putting together some delectable products which make you really want to book a holiday so you can buy them.  Caudalie is one of those brands who have an abundance of amazing products and even if you haven't quite booked that holiday, you can still use them here in Blighty.
Holiday Essentials with Caudalie
Inside the most beautifully packed boxes are three hero products from Caudalie and if you have never ever used anything from the brand, then this box has three products you really need to try.

Right in the middle is the VinoPerfect Radiance Serum (£46) which happens to be the brand's best seller worldwide with a bottle being sold every 2 minutes. Described as being a MUST BUY product for those who wish to rediscover a radiant, luminous and even complexion and especially good for smokers or those who live in a polluted environment
Holiday Essentials with Caudalie
To be used both morning and evening after cleansing the skin, this serum uses Caudalie's patented ingredient Viniferine which is extracted from vine stalks and is reportedly 62 times more effective than Vitamin C for its free radical protection. It is also said to help clear the complexion and reduce pigmentation, correcting existing dark spots and prevent the appearance of new ones. Vinoperfect is described as being the product which provides antioxidant and anti-ageing action by stimulating elastin and collagen production.

What I love about this serum is that it not only smells just incredible but it is so lightweight on the skin. It isn't at all heavy and nor is it sticky or tacky to the touch and I love hydrated it makes my skin feel.

Most people will have or should have come across Beauty Elixir (£12) by now. It is Caudalie's hero product and I think this is my 5th or 6th bottle now. Having celebrated its 20th birthday just last year, the Beauty Elixir is paraben free, Vegan and 100% natural.
Holiday Essentials with Caudalie
Once spritzed this Elixir fills the air with notes of benzoin, myrrh, orange, blossom, grape and rose, all of which work to give your complexion a rosy glow. Add to that astringent rosemary and the stimulating essence of lemon balm and mint and the scent is really quite incredible and it is of course really gentle on the skin. The ingredients coming together to smooths away fine lines tightens pores and gives the complexion an instant boost of radiance, helps calm redness and not forgetting that this product can also be used to set makeup! Quite the multi-tasker in one bottle and one of my other favourite ways to use this Elixir is to moisturise my beauty blenders

Finally is a new product, one I have never tried before and it is The de Vignes Body oil (£18). Described as being a replenishing dry oil for all over use, the striking glass bottle which houses the oil is the first thing to catch my attention.
Enriched with a blend of grapeseed, Sesame, hibiscus, organic argan and Shea butter, these ingredients come together to keep your body, face, hair and even your nails soft and moisturised.  On the skin it dries pretty quickly, so there is no greasiness on the skin and what makes this oil so incredible to use are the further notes of orange blossom, jasmine and ginger which create such an incredible fresh scent that I almost wish this was a fragrance for the summer or a calming candle for the winter.

I love that it can be used absolutely everywhere on the body and I love how soothed it leaves my skin feeling.  It's definitely the product you need to have on your dressing table for the summer and even one on your bedside table, desk in the office and one in your suitcase ready!  You can find out more about Caudalie and the rest of the products on offer from the brand right here.

Revolution Rose Gold Ingot Highlighter

If you are a fan of highlighters then I am sure like me you have quite a collection and are never on the lookout to add to it, well I never am anyway. However, whilst browsing in my local Superdrug I ended up, as I usually do, near the Revolution (formally Makeup Revolution) stand and saw three highlighters which really caught my attention. In shades Platinum, Gold and Rose Gold, these Ingot style highlighters really stood out, annoyingly only the Rose Gold shade being in stock.
Revolution Rose Gold Ingot Highlighter
Packed inside a sturdy black plastic casing, you can clearly see the brand name written in gold and there is also a see-through section so that you can see what the product is.  A handy size for keeping in your bag, makeup case or even for travelling with, it closes tightly and doesn't open too easily.
Add a perfect touch of light and luminosity with this gorgeous long wearing super intense pink with a rose tone powder highlighter. Light reflecting pigment to achieve an all over illuminating finish

Inside the casing, the rose gold ingot has the words 'bank of Revolution, Rose Gold' inscribed into the product which is a nice little extra touch and to look at, it is designed to look like a bar of gold, only in this case rose gold.

What makes this a wow product is, of course, the highlight itself.  For just £4 I hold my hands up and admit I wasn't expecting much from this highlighter, I mean it costs £4 and I hadn't expected to love it as much as I do. It is similar to another high-end highlighter that I own, but I am going to see if anyone can guess which one before I dupe it!

As this highlighter is just so pigmented you can apply it using your fingers or a brush to apply and it works so well on its own but it also works well as a blush topper too, something I was shown recently.

Have you found any new Revolution products of recently that you have been blown away by?

As mentioned, this highlighter comes in the shades Gold and Platinum too and they are all priced at just £4 here and it is worth noting that there is also a 50% sale off right now!!

W7 Life’s A Peach Palette

W7 is one of those brands that is famed for their files of well-known brands such as Too Faced and Benefit Cosmetics and equally, they have a whole host of products that are not a dupe. Today I am sharing with you a brand new eyeshadow palette called Life's a Peach.
W7 Life’s A Peach Palette
W7 Life’s A Peach Palette
Featuring a range of shades in what is described as being 'punching Peach tones ' there is a range of colours which take on the neutral and pale tones as well as the bright pinks and peachy shades. Sitting alongside those comes 6 further shades which consist of deeper tones such as purples and browns. Each shade is a matte finish.
On the palette, you will find:

  • Sweet Temptation which is a natural, peach tone
  • Delicious which is a nude shade
  • Pure Pleasure which is a bright, rosey shade
  • It's Tasty which is a deep plum shade
  • Ripe and Juicy which is a tan shade
  • Pit Stop which is a chocolate brown
  • White Flesh which is white shade with a pink undertone
  • Peach Please which is a peachy pink
  • Cream which is a neutral, cream shade
  • Golden Nectar which is a brown tone
  • Nice and Fruity which is a purple-brown shade
  • Sweet Stalk which is a dark brown
What always surprised me the most with W7 products is that everything I have tried so far has been really good value for money, this palette, for example, retails for £9.95 and I am actually rather impressed with it.  My favourite shades being Ripe and Juicy, Golden Nectar and Delicious with the ones shown below being Sweet Stalk, It's Tasty, Pure Pleasure and Peach please from left to right.
W7 Life’s A Peach Palette
I am a neutral/nude kind of girl and this palette plays right into my comfort zone with a few extra shades thrown in for fun, or when I am feeling that little bit more on the brave side.

I think this is a fab addition to W7 and I am glad to have it in my stash!

Do you have a favourite W7 product?
