Ouai's Anti-Frizz Hair Sheets

Introducing Ouai's Anti-Frizz Hair Sheets which are described as being the 'purse-portable frizz defying sheets which are your new secret weapon to fight frizzy, static-prone hair. A few swipes and hair is left shiny, smooth and free from flyways'. Arriving in a tongue in cheek box, which to all intents and purpose look like a cigarette packet and have slogans such as "Frizzy hair kills", inside you will find 15 sachets neatly nestled.

The hemp paper sheets which are free of parabens and sodium chloride are infused with coconut oil and Shea butter to lightly moisturise hair while locking down hairs gone awry. They also smell incredible with that signature scent from Ouai which has notes of violet, gardenia, ylang ylang, and white musk.  To use all you need to do is simply swipe an individually-packaged sheet from root to the ends of your hair and voila frizz be gone. It is that straightforward.

What I really like about these sheets is not only that they do the job they were designed to do and do it well.  You can see the before and after photos below of my hair.  I washed my hair and blow dried it as I normally would do and then used one sheet on my hair.

Firstly, the sheets do not leave your hair greasy, sticky or tacky during and after using, it isn't like applying too much serum. They are easy to use, you literally swipe them down your hair as you would do a brush and it smooths most of the hairs, I say most because it didn't smoothe every flyaway hair I have on my head, I have a lot of new hair growing all of the time and they tend to be flyaways which do their own thing, that said, the before and after shots do show quite a difference and it took less than 15 minutes.  The sheets they are incredibly portable, they pack easily, they weigh nothing and are therefore perfect for everyday use, for going away and even for nights out.

Priced at £20 for 15 sachets (here) and you can read more about Ouai on their homepage and Ouai products can be found via Cult Beauty, Selfridges, Lookfantastic, Asos and more.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Stick

Stick foundations are something new to me, in fact, the only one I have ever tried features in this blog post from Lancome. I am a huge fan of the Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation which I reviewed here and to see something turned into a stick version intrigued me.
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Stick
Described as being a new generation of stick foundation, Lancôme say
"For those long days: full coverage, comfortable long wear… use Teint Idole Ultra Foundation Stick when you need it, where you need it. The oil-free foundation's innovative long-wear formula gives all skin tones a flawless, complexion-perfecting coverage. Its ultra-lightweight powder-crème texture blends smoothly for a traceless, second-skin result. This matte foundation leaves the skin looking flawless and shine-free plus it helps to reduce the appearance of redness".
I love the idea that I have a foundation in stock format to carry around with me in my bag, it definitely takes up much less room than my usual foundation and it is no bigger than my Travelo within which I carry around my favourite perfume, just slightly more rotund.

It is available in 20 shades and is Oil-free, fragrance-free, transfer-resistant, smudge-resistant, Non-comedogenic and has an SPF15. I was kindly sent two different shades from the broad spectrum of shades - Beige and Cafe.  As you can see they really are quite different, one being far too dark for my skin tone, even to contour with and the other works perfectly well where I want and need a bit more coverage on my redness.

The formula is absolutely divine, it is an ultra-lightweight powder-crème texture and it blends effortlessly and smoothly with a beauty blender or even your fingers if that is your preference.

As you can see from the swatch above, which hasn't been edited in any way, both show just how pigmented each stick is with just one swipe on to my wrist. I love how pigmented the sticks are and I tend to use mine alongside my foundation to give a much better coverage and to target problematic areas, you can also use it as a concealer and it is suitable for all skin types even sensitive skin.

I love the idea of having a foundation as a stick, it is perfectly portable for being on the go and a great addition to my make up bag for touch ups as and when I feel the need. Retailing for £25.50 you can find the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Stick online via John Lewis, Lookfanastic, House of Fraser, Boots and in most department stores.

Galentines Glossybox Edition

February is the month many refer to as the month of Love and to kick start it, Glossybox has a special edition box this month.  For Glossybox it is all about having fun out on the town with your BFF or the love of your life for Valentines Day and to that end have included products within the box to make you look even more fabulous.
Galentines Glossybox Edition
Galentines Glossybox Edition
Making an appearance is Iced Frappe from Ciate which is described as being a nude coffee colour and it is one I have used before and really liked it and it is the kind of shade everyone should have in their stash.
Galentines Glossybox Edition
With these polishes from Ciate they are paraben free, gluten-free and vegan friendly too.

Until Glossybox, I had never heard of Steve Laurant but have now had a few products from the range.  In this months box is a really pretty Nude Pop Lip Tint which is described as being gorgeously creamy, cruelty-free, hydrating, highly pigmented but long lasting.
I love how this lip balm is packaged with its Rose Gold lid and the wording says 'Live your life in Color'.

I have seen quite a few products from skinChemists across my social feed over the past few weeks and inside Glossybox is the 24H Aqua Repair Facial Serum.
Galentines Glossybox Edition
Described as being perfect for dry, sensitive and problematic skin types, it uses a delicate blend of advanced active ingredients such as Rose Water to calm and soothe, Aloe Vera for its anti-inflammatory properties and Allantoin aims to moisturise and soothe. Putting all of these together you have a serum which hydrates and soothes the skin for all day moisturisation.

Another brand I have seen across my social feed is Studio10 Beauty.  This month Glossybox have included the Makeup Mist Glow-Plexion which is described as being a mist which can be used as a setting spray as well as a product to instantly prime, refresh and hydrate.
Galentines Glossybox Edition
I love a good multi-tasking product, so I am quite looking forward to seeing how this works.

Finally, in this months Glossybox is a Sleek i-Divine palette.  I absolutely love Sleek palettes especially the i-Divine ones and the palette within my box is Storm.
Galentines Glossybox Edition
The stunning palette contains a variety of shades including neutral, shimmering pinks, beige, dark blue, green & copper shades and they all have storm related names such as Thunderstorm, Gathering Storm and Eye of the Storm Blackout.

I really like this months Glossybox, I love the design of the box its pinkness and the accompanying emojis which adorn the box and the contents give you everything you need for a night out, just as promised.  Glossybox is also wanting to share the love this February and are offering 20% off this special edition box using code ‘GLOSSY’! Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil

I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden and whilst I always have my eye on a lipstick or two, there is one range that I have, over the years grown fond of and that is the extensive Eight Hour Range.  I am the first to admit I never really liked the much coveted Eight Hour Cream, but it has grown on me.  Today however it is the turn of the Eight Hour All Over Miracle Oil.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil
This oil is described as being 'All-Over Miracle Oil, a Luxurious, Head-To-Toe Moisturising and Conditioning Treatment' and if you read my blog regularly then you will know that I like products which are versatile and this is one of those. The multi-tasking formula can be used on the face, body and hair. Clinically proven to moisturise for between 8-12 hours, this has a sleek design with a frosted view and is delicately scented with a light, citrus floral fragrance accord that promotes a sense of well-being. It smells and feels almost spa-like.

Infused with Tsubaki oil which is an ultra-hydrating ingredient that delivers long-lasting moisture for radiant and healthy looking skin and it works alongside Avocado Oil, Grape seed Oil, Olive Oil and Sunflower Seed Oil to name just a few.  What I really like about the oil is that it is quite light and dry which means it sinks into the skin almost straight away. And you really don’t need a lot to feel moisturised. Plus as it’s so lightweight you can even use this underneath your moisturiser for extra nourishment.

I decided to test this on my face first. After washing my face, I popped a single pump of this into the palm of my hands and warmed it before pressing into the skin. It was incredibly easy to use and wasn't in the slightest bit greasy.  I always find that wearing chunky tights during the winter can often leave the skin on my leg dry, so I try as best as I can to use something really moisturising after showering on my skin.  So I then tried it on my elbows and shins where I had noticed some dryness and impressively there was quite a difference in how my skin felt a few days later.

As for using the oil my hair, I do tend to get a bit of frizz so when I blow dry it, so whilst my hair was damp, I used two pumps of this on the midlengths to ends of my hair before blowdrying and have found that it does add a little shine without making my hair greasy and it does an alright job at eliminating frizz, but my preference for using it on my face and body and even use it for the occasional massage.

Priced at £29 this All-Over Miracle Oil is widely available both on the highstreet and online from sites such as Boots, Lookfantastic and John Lewis.
