Touch In Sol Corean Complexion Cream SPF30

If you read this post then you will know by now that I have become a little obsessed with K-Beauty brand Touch In Sol. Hailing from South Korea, Touch in Sol is said to embrace the spirit of Korean innovation, Touch In Sol is fun, innovative and uses some of the most advanced technologies and everything I have tried so far I have just absolutely loved. Using a whole host of natural, botanical ingredients, Touch In Sol aims to not only brighten up your day with fun products but with products that are functional and serve a purpose.

Today I am sharing with you the Corean Complexion Cream which is simply incredible. I use a lot of green coloured skin correctors to tone down my redness, a tip I picked up from a Makeup Artist friend of mine and ever since that discovery, I always have something in my stash. This CC cream is like that discovery, you didn't know you needed it until you had it and now you have it, you wonder how you have managed without it.

This CC Cream is described as being a buildable cream which not only evens out the skin tone but it also smoothes fine lines and pores. It is lightweight on the skin and feels incredibly soft and smooth as you apply it and what it does is help use a capsule-based formula which is designed to adapt to all skin tones to create a natural-looking finish. Best applied to a cleansed and toned face, I always prime first and then use this CC cream and if my cheeks are particularly red, then I colour correct first too, but I have noticed that I am using less of the green colour correcting products and am instead using this. I use my fingertips to blend this onto and into my skin in circular motions, almost mimicking the application of any moisturising cream that I use.

This CC cream is enriched with Okra which is often referred to as natures botox because it helps plump the skin, antioxidant grapeseed oil which helps to fight the signs of ageing and they both work alongside the natural botanicals of jasmine, iris and rose, all of which come to together to moisturise and naturally hydrate.  So you have makeup looking after your skin and with an SPF30, it is quite impressive!

You can find this Corean Complexion Cream retailing for just £21 at both Cult Beauty and ASOS and it is an absolute must try product!

Glossybox - January Edit

This month Glossybox has decided to dedicate itself to pampering and self-care to get you through the January blues. January is one of those months that can leave you feeling a bit blue after all the Christmas festivities and who really enjoys going back to work after a few weeks off!
Glossybox - January Edit
Inside the box there are five products, of which 4 are full sized and they include:
  • Boots Beauty Beneath Supplements
  • Evelyn Iona Cosmetics Green Tea Primer
  • Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil
  • Nail Medic Nail and Cuticle Energizer
  • Apicia Cream Blush

I have to admit that I had only come across one of these brands before and used a product from the range, so it is quite a treat to have some new brands to get to know.

Boots Beauty Beneath Supplements - Formulated by Scientists at Boots, these supplements are said to be a nutrient-rich beauty supplement designed to work beneath the surface. With two soft gel capsules designed to be taken daily, these capsules are made with a complex blend of 19 nutrients which are essential for healthy, glowing skin.  The nutrients work to boost your own collagen production, fading fine lines and wrinkles whilst leaving your skin softer than ever.
Glossybox - January Edit
I am hopeless at taking any form of medication or supplement, I am fine for about a week and then I forget, but there is something about these ones which has drawn me to them and I might just give them a go, so watch this space.  Available from Boots here for £39.99

Evelyn Iona Cosmetics - This is a brand, which until now I have never come across, but as a brand EVIO as they refer to themselves as being a brand which creates a conscious, natural beauty and personal care products. A selection that fills the gap for hard to find, high-end products that stand up to the performance of their synthetic peers.

Glossybox - January Edit

Inside this months Glossybox is a Green Tea Primer, definitely something I have never used before and I do love my primers. This one is described as being hydrating, antioxidant-rich, skin-friendly formula and is packed full of moisturising ingredients which includes Avocado Oil and Green Tea extract to nourish and protect your complexion.

Dr Botanicals - This is the only brand I recognise from this months box and this month Glossybox are treating us to the Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil. A product which is described as being brimming with minerals and vitamins, it works to repair and protect skin and leave it healthier-looking.
Glossybox - January Edit

On the skin, it is really lightweight and non-greasy. With the main ingredient of Moroccan Rose Oil, it not only smells just incredible but it also has high levels of Vitamin C which helps to stimulate collagen production and Vitamin A to protect against free radicals and even skin tone. There is also the inclusion of Almond Oil which helps to brighten and moisturise, revealing a radiant and rejuvenated complexion.

Nail Medic - Nail and Cuticle Energizer is described as being just the product you need for some extra TLC and my nails most definitely do need that right now.
Glossybox - January Edit
The reparative oil uses a blend of vitamins and plant extracts alongside Eucalyptus and soothing Lavender, both of which come together to work on brittle nails, split cuticles and dry skin.

The final item in the box is the Apicia Cream Blush.  Again another new brand I have never come across until now, this cream blush is described as being rich in Bee pollen which works to nourish the skin.

What I like about the blush is that shade is so pretty, best described as being a deep honey pink, it does give a really lovely flush of colour and is for all skin tones.

Erborian Matte or Rouge for lips?

Whether you like your matte lip, your shiny lip or something in between, one thing I know for certain is I don't like a sticky or tacky glosses and I don't like anything which makes my lip feel as though you have been dipped into cement.
Erborian Matte or Rouge for lips?
Erborian is one of my favourite brands and one I have enjoyed discovering over the last 18 months or so, whenever there is a new product I get a little excited because with Erborian you get a mixture of Korean and French loveliness all rolled into one.  Lip products are something Erborian do a lot of products in, but is the one area I hadn't really got to know until recently.

It is said in Korea, the world capital of sophisticated beauty rituals, the skin is not the only part of the face where care is considered essential; the lips are considered to be a real asset of beauty and seduction, and they are also the object of meticulous attention through nourishing, soothing rituals.

Rouge for Lips and Matte for Lips are the latest releases from Erborian and they are two nourishing balms that tint and embellish the lips.  What Erborian have done with these two products is develop a hybrid which is a cross between makeup and skincare.  Both balms are delicately scented and they give you the chance to play with both colour and texture whilst caring for your lips, so depending on your choice of finish there is a choice of balm.

My favourite product of the two is Matte for Lips a product which promised velvet lips with a matte finish for a healthy glow effect. I really like the ultra smooth texture which has a really soft finish. As it is applied, the balm glides across and envelopes the lips that leave them feeling nourished and hydrated.

Enriched with nourishing Camellia oil, known for its antioxidant properties which helps to sooth, prevent sign of ageing and dehydration plus Beeswax which helps to nourish and prevent dehydration.

The second product, Rouge for Lips is definitely where makeup meets skincare and coats your lips with an ultra-intense shade of red and it is much more pigmented than I had expected it to be, but it is a delight to use.

Again, as with Matte for Lips, it is enriched with Cameillia Oil and Beeswax for its antioxidant and nourishing properties which prevent dehydration and nourish the skin but there is also the inclusion of Shea Butter which really helps nourish your lips.

Both of these products can be applied using a lip brush or your finger and both can be used with other products.  If you are a fan of a red lip, then using Rouge for Lips as a base can really intensify the red lipstick shade and then you can apply Matte for Lips over the top.  Equally you can use either product alone or with absolutely any other lip product that you have, depending on the look you are trying to achieve.  Each one of these products retails for £18 here on the Erborian website.

Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20

It is always nice to get compliments about how good your skin looks and questions as to what you have done differently to get 'that glow' and those are the questions I have been asked lately from both friends, colleagues and bloggers and in truth, other than changing my skincare routine slightly, I have changed the foundation I was wearing (it ran out) to something completely new, from a brand I knew very little about - Laura Mercier.
Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
Whilst browsing in John Lewis, I was mesmerised watching the girls on the counter do various makeovers and drawn in by how good they looked once finished, I was sat in a chair within seconds.  Unlike other makeup counters where I have been, this time I was told a little bit about the background to the brand, for example the brand was founded back in 1996 and the entire philosophy revolves about The Flawless Face -  a concept that making the skin look perfect is the first and most important thing we can do to achieve a great look.  Not something I can argue with that is for sure.  Having been asked what I would usually use on my skin, what make up look I like and whether or not any of the products had jumped out to me, the one thing I did say is that I cannot stand foundation that makes your face feel suffocated, has that caked on look no matter how little you apply and anything that works to cover blemishes and with combination skin, especially an oily t-zone is a must.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer which comes in a range of around 15 different shades, is described as being an oil free, sheer, lightweight foundation with SPF 20 and is suitable for all skin types, even those with sensitive or acne prone skin. I have shade Blush which is a one of the lighter shades and perfect for those with pink tones.

Thankfully because it is a tinted moisturiser, it actually is really lightweight on the skin, despite being quite a creamy formula.  As it was applied and as I now apply it, I use a buffing brush and finish off with my beauty blender to ensure I get an even coverage, but you can build up in areas that you feel need a bit more covering. I love that it is an oil free formula and it also works to prevent excess oil from setting on the surface of the skin, so if like me you can have that mid-afternoon greasy shine, you are not going to get that with this, something which has impressed me the most.

I have used quite a few tinted moisturisers over the years, especially when the warmer weather comes and ive never really found one I have loved until now.  It is the one which is truer to the formula than anything else I have used and by that I mean it is hydrating, nourishing and moisturising whilst offering a hint of coverage.  As I have said, whenever I have worn it, people have asked why my skin is all glowy and what am I using.

You can also mix this tinted moisturiser with your favourite foundation too.  But all in all I absolutely love this product! Not only does all my redness, it does so without looking caked on and I really love that it is so light but also buildable.  Priced around £34 it isn't going to break the bank and a tube lasts a good few months, obviously depending on how often you apply it and it is widely available at places such as John Lewis, SpaceNK, Feelunique, House of Fraser and more.
