L'Occitane Verbena Limited Edition Collection

In the summer anything that can cool you down from the hot sticky heat is a must have product in my eyes and once again L'Occitane manage to release an incredible range to do just that with their Limited Edition Verbena Collection.

Starting with the Verbena Fresh Shower gel which is enriched with menthol and an organic verbena extract from Provence and it is just incredible for cooling down the skin and body temperature but also kicking you awake first thing in a morning. 

On the skin it leaves the cooling scent of Verbena, which is a beautifully Lemony and fresh. Priced at £16 for 250ml this is a must for Summer.

Next is the Verbena Frappé Body Cream and again using the fresh Verbena scent, this cream is incredibly lightweight on the skin and is such a treat after being on the shower because it has an instant cooling affect on the skin. 

It is suggested by L'Occitane that you keep this cream in the fridge which adds that little extra 'oooh' when you just need cooling down but at the same time give your skin some hydration and nourishment too. Priced at £20 for 100ml.

Next up, the Refreshing Exfoliating Sugars which is my favourite product of the range. It is enriched again with an organic verbena extract from Provence and contains sugar crystals and ground walnut shell to gently exfoliate.

On the skin the sugar crystals and the ground walnut shell are quite small and in no way abrasive but they do exfoliate really well and naturally again with the Verbena scent it is just an incredible scent too. Priced at £22 for 175g this is a great edition to the whole range and one which adds an extra oomph when combined with the shower gel!

Last but by no means least, a collection from L'Occitane wouldn't be the same without a hand cream. I adore L'Occitane hand creams they are incredible and this one is just as good as I was expecting it to be.

With the hand cream the Lemony Verbena scent is much more delicate than any of the other products but it is still there. All of the hand creams I have tried from L'Occitane have been lightweight enough to not make your hands feel greasy but luxurious enough to ensure that they are moisturised and hydrated. This one retails at £8 for 30ml and worth snapping up!

So there you have four wonderful products from a Limited Edition Collection which are worth tracking down in my opinion.

Pixi Peel & Polish Resurfacing Treatment

Right now for me Pixi can do no wrong, not only do they have the most amazing store in the West End but I have absolutely loved enjoying their products over the last few months, infact I am yet to be disappointed by anything I have tried.

The latest product that I have really enjoyed using is the Pixi Peel & Polish Resurfacing Treatment which retails for £26. Described as being a radiance revealing enzyme peel which resurfaces the skin for smoother, softer and a healthy looking glow, it contains natural fruit enzymes which work to loosen all those dry and dead skins cells, whilst lactic acid gently exfoliates, cellulose peels and sugar extracts polishes the skin and helps to lift away dullness revealing brighter skin. Paraben free and not tested on animals, this is a professional salon peel treatment that you can use for yourself without having to even leave your home!

I really like the scent of this cream, it has a fruity scent to it coming from the inclusion of Orange, Papaya and Lemon Fruit Extracts and whilst there is also an inclusion of Witch Hazel, it was a scent that I found to be too dominating at all.  The formula uses 6% Lactic Acid alongside Cucumber Extract and Panax Ginseng Root Extract.  The exfoliator is Sugar Cane Extract. To use the scrub you apply directly to your face and neck and the skin needs to be dry rather than wet and it is to be used just 2-3 times a week. Once on the skin, you leave the mask for up to five minutes to allow it to work its magic before removing with a warm cloth, you can for a more intense polish effect; using your fingertips, gently massage face and neck in a circular motion.  On my skin, there is a slight tingling sensation which soon subsides and it is something I grown used to with using products such as this one.

I find that once I have used this product, my skin feels absolutely incredible, so soft and smooth to the touch, much clearer and I am glad to say no signs of a reaction or any flare up. I use the product just twice a week when I feel my skin needs something a little extra and I try to ensure I used it every month at some point.  You only really need a surprisingly small amount to cover your face and neck and the tube should last quite some time.

As Pixi skincare products go, this one goes right into the favourite category along with Glow Mud Cleasner and Vitamin Wake Up Mist.

Too Faced Peach Collection

There is no denying that the Too Faced Peach collection is highly sought after, wanted and lusted after, the packaging alone is incredibly cute and kitsch.

In my collection I have two, Too Faced 'Peach Oil' lip gloss in shades 'Tickle Me Peach' and 'Peach Fuzz', both of which I adore. 

Peach Fuzz is a light-medium soft pink-coral with warm undertones. I actually found this lasted a bit less time than the other shade. it lasted a good three hours and was incredibly hydrating. The two have a deliciously subtle peach scent. 

It's not surprising these are so hydrating when I noticed the Ingredients for the Lip Oils include coconut oil and vitamin E which as we all know are renowned for their moisturising properties.

Tickle Me peach, Lip Oil Gloss is described as 'warm coral with a cream finish, semi-opaque coverage' - I'd definitely agree with that. This is really easy to apply and feels less like a 'full on' product and more like a lip balm. 

It's claimed to last 4-5 hours once applied and whilst I haven't timed it, I'd say this definitely is the longest wearing 'balm' like texture product I have tried.

I'm also lucky enough to have the Peach infused highlighting palette in my collection.  It is absolutely beautiful. This is a beauty of a palette which contains a highlighter, blush, and bronzer.  The scent is of course of peach and it smells good enough to eat. Its press release described it as being a "Sweet Peach Glow Illuminating, blushing and bronzing palette is infused with the juicy scent and skin loving the essence of peach to give your face a radiant natural peach glow" and to be fair, it describes it to a T.

On the palette, the blush is the biggest compartment of the palette and sits in the middle with highlighter to the left and bronzer to the right. Unsurprisingly, The entire palette is infused with peachy gold tones.

Starting with the Sweet Peach Highlight, it is a golden peach (shocking, right?) with a metallic sheen. Initially, I thought it might be a little bit overkill working with the other two products, but actually, this is the perfect balance between subtle and mirror reflecting. I still noticed this on my skin after 7/8 hours, so I'm pretty impressed with its lasting power.

Onto the Sweet Peach Blush. This is again, a peachy coral shade with warm undertones and a golden shimmer-sheen finish. The pigmentation is mostly opaque which allows you to build up the colour as much as you wish which is great considering it's easy to overdo it. This blends out amazingly well and applies like a dream. As with the Highlighter, it lasts for around 8 hours.

Last but by no means least is the Sweet Peach Bronzer which is quite a soft, medium brown with golden yellow undertones and a pearly sheen. This has a good buildable pigmentation, easy to apply, feels silky and lasts for around 8 hours.

Using the three together with a light hand is a winning combination and particularly for Summer, this looks incredible on a sunny day.
