I use my Liquid Gold Rose just a few nights a week and there is a slight tingling sensation when it is applied to the skin, but it isn't uncomfortable.

Liquid Gold Intensive Night Repair Serum 50ml - I have not opened this yet to give it a try but I absolutely love the sound of it. Described as being a high-performance water-based serum, which helps minimise the appearance of uneven skin tone and premature ageing whilst also helping to smooth and firm the look of your skin to leave a radiant result. It contains 5% Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Matrixy-6 Peptide, encapsulated 1% Vitamin A, 14% Glycolic Acid, Liquorice Extract, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E. 

To use you simply need 1-2 pumps of the serum just a few night a week and you apply it to 

clean dry skin. Massage over the face, neck and décolletage, taking care to avoid the delicate eye and lip areas. It is said that your skin may exhibit a slight warming sensation and may tingle momentarily. Allow the serum to dry and then apply your Liquid Gold 24 Hour Moisture Repair Cream and it should be used on an alternate night to Liquid Gold Rose and not to be used during pregnancy.

The final item in this amazing trio is a 50ml Liquid Gold 24 Hour Moisture Repair Cream. Again, I haven't yet opened this and I am absolutely dying too because it sounds amazing. Described as being a luxurious, transitional day-to-night moisturiser with contains handpicked ingredients such as Chia Seed, Squalane, Argan Stem Cells, Hyaluronic Acid, Avocado Oil, Matrixyl-6 Peptide, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid and 24 Carat Gold Flakes. The combination of Avocado Oil, Chia Seed, Hyaluronic Acid and Olive-derived Squalane immediately moisturise the skin, making it feel more smooth and supple. Naturally derived Glycolic and Lactic Acids exfoliate dead cells from the surface of the skin to give an instantly brighter appearance and light-reflecting 24 Carat Gold Flakes give radiance and luminosity.

To be used as cleansing, you should apply 2 pumps covering the face, next and décolletage. Vichy Idéalia Overnight Peeling

I adore Vichy as a brand so when I won the new Vichy Idéalia Overnight Peeling product I was really excited! 

Having used the idealia range from Vichy before, I had high hopes for this and I like it rather a lot. The description for this product reads as follows:

Transform exhausted skin with Vichy Idealia Peeling; a clinically proven, nightly energy supplement for the face. The innovative formula is suitable for all skin types but has been specially adapted to deal with sensitive and intolerant skin; the first of its kind. 

Using Mineral Water from French Volcanoes alongside an energising blend of antioxidant Blueberry Polyphenol and fermented Black Tea, the potent formula targets dull skin and works to restore skin’s natural glow whilst skin is most receptive to repair. I am always intrigued as to what ingredients are used within a product and this one is packed full of natural extracts which include:

• Blueberry Polyphenols which work to counteract the effects of oxidative stress.
• Kombucha Tea Extract which helps restore skin quality.
• Hepes which is an active ingredient that works as an exfoliating agent.
• Glycolic Acid is used to gently exfoliate the skin and improve the skin's softness, brightness and luminosity.
• Vichy Mineralising Thermal Water which is used to help strengthen the skin's barrier function and help accelerate surface skin cell renewal.

Designed to be used as an overnight product, Idealia Peeling works to reactivates your natural glow while you sleep so that when you wake, you find your skin is both refreshed and radiant. To use it the process is really quite simple. You apply Vichy Idealia Night Peeling on to cleansed skin using a cotton pad before your regular skincare regime and the be sure to remember that after using you should avoid sun exposure, the eye contour and the following morning after using, please do use an SFP15 at the very least (you should be anyway).

I wasn't too sure what to expect with this product, it sounds similar to the likes of Glow Tonic from Pixi only this is much more gentle because it is designed and formulated for those with sensitive skin.  Scent wise there is a slightly fruity aroma and if you are familiar with the other products within the Idealia range, then the scent you get is that essentially. I tend to use this once a week and twice a week if my skin starts to misbehave and what I find is soft, smooth and calming effect on my skin especially where the redness flares up on one cheek.

This is such a great find and if you have never used a product from the Vichy Idealia range and feel Glow Tonic would be too harsh on your skin, then this is the product for you.  It retails for £30 and you can find it on LookFantastic, Boots and Escentual.

Uncommon Goods

I am obsessed with Pinterest and anyone who follows me on there will have probably noticed that I have an obsession with household accessories and have a whole board dedicated to them. To that end one of the sites I spend hours procrastinating on sites such as Uncommon Goods. Founded in 1999 with its headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, UncommonGoods is a privately owned retailer that endeavours to feature unique jewellery, designer décor, tabletop items and handcrafted gifts created in harmony with the environment without harm to animals or people.

Having pinned many images to my Pinterest boards, I thought I would share with you some of my favourites and some I would actually quite like to have at home and they are slightly kooky but very me.

In total blogger cliche, I love Avocado on toast with a poached egg and a few chilli flakes for good measure, I don't apologise for liking it and in truth, had never tried it until Instagram photos tempted me that way. Then came the notion of trying to grow my own Avocado Tree, again, inspired by Instagram, but to date, I have continually failed in this task. Then I came across this Avocado Tree Starter Kit which only costs £16.50 and apparently all I need to do is "simply insert the shiny seed of your last avocado into the pod, float it in a water bath, and patiently watch your windowsill set-up sprout signs of life". Genius.

As a glasses wearer, I am forever putting my glasses down and forgetting where I left them, so something as cute as this Owl Eyeglasses Holder on my bedside table might just encourage me to store my glasses more carefully. Priced just under £20 it is an absolute bargain and if an Owl is not for you, there are many other options to choose from.

I am known as being the crazy cat lady at work, Stephen and I have three fur balls who mean the world to me and naturally I treat them as though they are human, often insisting that Hector is my youngest son to those in the office. So a black cat pillow which is knitted from 100% baby alpaca wool, would look just amazing on my sofa, joining an Owl cushion that we have, which Hector absolutely adores. Again, this pillow is handmade and is just adorable.

Staying with the cat theme there are a couple of necklaces that I also have my eye one for being unique and for the same reason above. The first is a heart shaped intertwined feline necklace which depicts two cats curled up together to form a heart. The necklace was modelled in clay, cast in sterling silver and bronze and it is just super cute. The second one was created using non-working antique watch parts from the mid-1800s and then cast in sterling silver and hand-finished with a beautiful darkened patina. is quite different to anything that I have seen or own but it jumped out at me.
