Benefit 'Girl O'Clock Rock' Advent Calendar

If you follow me on Instagram and therefore watch my Instagram stories you will have noticed or seen the daily openings of advent calendars. Now it is no secret that I absolutely love Beauty Advent Calendars and I have done quite a few posts on them.   

The Benefit Girl O'Clock Rock calendar was slightly different to the other two that I have because this one sings which was a bit of a shock the first time I opened it because it is quite loud, but still jolly and is the original Bene-song.

ELEGANT TOUCH X HOUSE OF HOLLAND DOLLY ROCKS LUXE NAILS

So New Years Eve has arrived and you have everything you need. But do you have some amazing blingy nails from House of Holland? No? Well then you need these Dolly Rocks Nails because they are just fantastic.

These are the House of Holland (with Elegant Touch) Dolly Rocks Nails are slightly more expensive than the original line of HOH x Elegant Touch Nails at £14.99 a set, though others within the range are usually cost between £8.99 and £12.99. What I love about these nails though is that they are pink (winner) and blingy and are just perfect for that special occasion such as welcoming in the new year!

These nails have an ombre pink colouring and are stiletto nail shaped. As you cans see, the nails start off with a much lighter pastel pink before graduating upwards towards the tip into a darker pink at the sharp point of the nail. There is also a set of embellished nails with studs and crystals in a mixture of shapes and sizes and depending upon how you like your nails, they work well as an accent nail or you can bling as many fingers as you want too. 

Inside the box there are 16 plain ombre nails and eight embellished ones and there is also the adhesive glue and if I am honest, it is my favourite nail glue and it is easy to use and oddly makes the least amount of mess. However if nail glue isn't your thing, then I can highly recommend the nail guards (here) to protect your nails from any damage.

Now Christmas has been and gone, quick a flash and just like that it is all over. Now as we hurtle towards 2017 with the January Sales and Valentines Day there is one big event to come - New Years Eve. For some people New Years Eve is quite an event, possibly the biggest one of the year and with that in mind, I was kindly sent a bunch of products from Rimmel to help you Get Ready.

One item I never ever leave the house without is Mascara and for the past few months I have been using Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded which features a clump-free formula which give extreme volume, extreme wear and is easy to remove with water. The Magnif'eyes Eye Contour Palette is absolutely stunning. I have Grunge Glamour which gives an 8-pan palette with duo applicator and integrated mirror for smart on-the-go travel format. The shadows are crease proof, smudge proof and are a mixture of of high-shimmer and matte shades, perfect for sculpting, shading and defining.

The colours on the palette are also just stunning and everything you need to create that grunge smokey eye and if you are unsure as to which shade should go where, there is a helpful guide on the back. Priced at £7.99 in Boots.

Now no makeup look would be complete without lipstick and I have two to share with you. The first being a Kate 15 year Lipstick in shade 56 called Boho Nude priced at £6.49 here, and it is described as being a true beige shade for modern bohemians. I am not usually a new lip person, I have never found the one which makes me not feel as though I have foundation lips, but this is nude with a difference, there is almost a rose colour payoff and I like it, I like it a lot and I have worn it a lot, it is the perfect daytime nude for work.  

The second lipstick comes from the Rimmel London The Only 1 Lipstick collection and I have shade 810 called One of a Kind priced at £6.99 and it is absolutely stunning. A deep warm red is the best description I can give to it, it has amazing colour payoff, it is deep, rich and vibrant and the perfect festive shade. 

The formula is hydrating and moisturising, nn-drying and nor does not feel tight on the lips.
