The Flannels Advent Calendar is back for a second year with another spectacular Advent Calendar and if you have ever been to a Flannels store, then you will know just what a delight it is.

For anyone who did see the 2021 Flannels Advent Calendar, you might notice that it is very similar in style and with the products that have been included, but thankfully there have been a few changes.

Lily Blanche Key Locket

With Christmas on the way, now is the time to start making those lists of who you have to buy a gift for and any ideas you might have.  I absolutely love products and gifts that can be personalised, be it with a key date, an important quote, a name or even a photograph and this is where Lily Blanche and the Key Locket come in.

The Lily Blanche Key Collection is described as being one of their most romantic collections and it is such a special and personal gift that is not perfect for Christmas, but for any occasion that the special someone in your life deserves a treat.  

I chose the filigree photo locket which is not only heart-shaped, but it also features a key charm, which for me, is the detail to catch my attention and choose it. 

As this is a locket, it opens up to reveal two heart shapes and inside each heart, and for this you can either upload those photos and edit them in the personalisation app on the locket page or you can email them separately to Lily Blanche after you've put the order through for them to be added. If you decide to use the personalisation tool, you can edit them and see how they look in the locket and if you choose to email them, the team will edit your photos and send you the edit to approve and at this stage, you can make any changes at that stage.

The filigree locket is available Gold, Rose Gold or White Gold. I opted for the 18 carat white gold vermeil, which sits on a sterling silver, 18 carat gold or rose gold chain (which you can choose the length of) and then, you can choose the key charm if you want to add it, this is an optional extra. I chose the 18 carat gold key to complete the piece.

Once you have decided on your personalised locket, the chain and then the charm, your final and perhaps most important decision is how to personalise it. As I had decided to personalise this Locket for myself, choosing the two photographs to go inside was quite difficult to narrow down and eventually, being unable to choose between my cats, I settled on a photograph of myself aged 2 with my Grandfather and then one from my wedding day - fun fact, we got married on Christmas Day!

Once you have finished with your personalisation, your Locket arrives in a beautifully presented black ribbon-tied gift box and it is also accompanied by a special cleaning pouch for storage and a branded polish cloth to ensure your locket sparkling and clean, which I think is a really lovely extra to have and not necessarily something you ever think about ordering when purchasing a piece of jewellery.

Priced at £150, the Lily Blanche Key Locket is absolutely stunning and I love how it sits on the chest without being too big or too heavy and because I chose the white gold option, it can be worn with any outfit - dressed up or lounging round the house and even for work. 

I really enjoyed the process of creating my own Locket, it was a stress-free, hassle-free experience and if a Locket isn't the piece of jewellery you like, then you can also find the same idea but as a bracelet.

Made by Coopers is a brand with an incredible story to tell. An idea that came about whilst travelling around India on a three-month yoga expedition, which was a personal healing journey for Clare. During their travels, Clare and Darren spent time at an Ayurvedic retreat in Kerala, learning all about the power of plants and natural healing, as well as lots of yoga, meditation, and early five a.m. chanting ceremonies! Following this powerful experience in the Ayurvedic retreat, the idea was formed to start a range of natural products, infused with essential oils, with a focus on emotional wellbeing, which is where Made by Coppers started their journey.

I was kindly two products from the Calming Range, one that is described as being a range which uses the most soothing essential oils to clear away negative energy, slow down a racing mind and promote peace and tranquillity.

The first item is the Vanilla Rose Bath Blend (£22.50) and anyone who knows me, will know that I love bath salts and this particular blend is quite something.

Described as being a nourishing bath salt blend, it is made with the essential oils of Vanilla and Ylang Ylang which help to rejuvenate the skin and help you relax and unwind and coconut oil for its moisturising and nourishing properties. Alongside those oils you will find the salts:

• Dead Sea Salt - Contains 21 minerals that soften and soothe dry skin.
• Epsom Salt - Helps relieve tired and aching muscles.
• Himalayan Salt - Contains 84 minerals that soothe and repair damaged skin and promote renewal.

Then to really make this Bath Blend really special, you will find rose buds and petals which float on the water and ultimately it is the feeling of floating within the water amongst the salt really is so incredibly relaxing.

The second item comes in the form of a candle and it is called Sleepy Head (£24) and it is the can be used in your evening routine when preparing for bed or on a wet and windy afternoon when you want to sit back, relax, grab a blanket and watch a film.

For anyone who loves their essential oils, Made by Coopers is definitely a brand to try. This candle uses Organic Lavender and Frankincense essential oils which come with a whole host of benefits such as:
