Lumene Nordic Hydra [LÄHDE] Oxygen Recovery 72h Hydra Gel Mask

When it comes to face masks, I have a bit of an obsession, I love them. Whatever the form it is they come in, be it sheet, gel, powder, lotion or spray.  The mask to enter my collection comes from Lumene with their Nordic Hydra [LÄHDE] Oxygen Recovery 72h Hydra Gel Mask, which I got from Feelunique.

Described as being ultra-fresh, the Lumene Nordic Hydra Oxygen Recovery 72h Hydra Gel Mask is said to provide 72-hours non-stop hydration for dehydrated skin. Right now, my skin is dehydrated, it hasn't helped that I was struck down with this heavy cold and cough that everyone has been liberally spreading. I was drawn to this mask because of its texture, bright blue in colour, it reminds me of the hair gel that my brothers used to use to spike their hair as kids.

As a brand, Lumene, hail from Northern Finland where the inspiration for all of their products comes from. Having been born as a brand back in 1970, they have been on a journey which today finds then striving to be a leader within the sustainability market with an aim to be carbon neutral by 2025. An impressive list of ingredients features within all of their products and they are proud of using  up to 99% natural ingredients in everything they do.

This Nordic Hydra mask is infused with Nordic superwaters which is made up of pure Arctic spring water and organic Nordic birch sap as well as lingonberry, bilberry and cloudberry waters, these are then combined with oxygen recovery minerals. Pretty impressive sounding I am sure you will agree, but this formula is designed to help the skin to recover a fresh, plump & healthy look.

Alongside the Pure Arctic Spring Water which is exceptionally pure, low in mineral salts and has Skin pH affinity, we also have what is referred to as hydra-technology and this is a slow-release technology which works to give lasting hydration, helped along of course by those ingredients mentioned above.

On the skin, this mask is instantly cooling, so I can only imagine how delightful it is to use in the warmer months. To use, you need to simply apply a generous amount onto clean skin and leave it to work its magic for between 5 and 10 minutes and then rinse with cool water, however, if you feel your skin is in need of some real care and attention, you can also use it as an overnight mask with the advice being to apply a thin layer to your skin, as the last part of your routine and rinse off the following morning.

This Lumene Nordic Hydra Oxygen Recovery 72h Hydra Gel Mask is still on offer for just £16.24 and it is suitable for all skin types. As other reviews have said, it is absolutely delightful on the skin without being stick or tacky and my skin just loves it.
