TOO FACED Hangover 3-In-1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray

The Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer and Setting Spray is the sister product to the cult favourite Hangover Primer. Described as being a weightless 3-in-1 coconut water-infused mist that primes, sets and refreshes make up while it helps keep skin hydrated, this spray is silicone, Alcohol and Oil free.

A bit of a multi-tasker, this mist can be used to Prime, Set and Refresh and what I love about it is not only is there a slight scent of Coconut but when spritzed it doesn't soak you through leaving you wet, instead it is lightweight but there is enough mist so that you know you have sprayed it. It is infused with hydrating coconut water that works to prime, set and refresh your makeup while helping to keep skin looking radiant and poreless.  So you can use this spray to:
  • Prime: Apply to clean skin before makeup.
  • Set: Apply after makeup to keep it in place all day.
  • Refresh: This spray can also be used anytime to refresh skin.
I have used it in all three ways and have differing views on each option.  When it comes to priming my skin, I am admittedly not a fan of spray primers, I prefer something of substance and I like something I can use to tone down my redness, so for me, this isn't the best use of the spray but it does a good job at being a primer. I do however love to set my makeup and do flip between a powder and a spray depending what I have in my stash, so for the past few months I have used this spray and it does an incredible job at not only ensuring my make is set in place, but it also adds a hit of hydration too, not something you get with many setting sprays.  Finally, using it for refereshing, if you are a regular reader of my blog, you will know I love my face mists and the fact I can use this to be one of them has been quite an eye-opener because it also does an amazing job at refreshing my makeup which means I don't have to do a mid-afternoon touch up.

I am a huge fan of setting mists and have one or two favourites, of which this one has just joined the crew.  It comes packaged in pink, so it already gets a huge thumbs up and for your £27 you get a huge 120ml bottle.  Overall, I absolutely love this product and have a back up ready for when it runs out.

Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon

When this lip wardrobe from Revlon arrived, I was shocked to find so many different offerings.  For a high street brand, Revlon has managed to keep themselves competitive and relevant to what is currently quite a busy market.

The Lip Wardrobe has five different offerings inside it which includes Super Lustrous Lipsticks, Ultra HD Gel Lipscolors, Ultra HD metallics Matte Lipcolor and Colorstay Lipliners. Over the past few months, I have been working through my lip wardrobe to see what I do and don't like.

Super Lustrous Lipstick - This is the lipstick you want to make a statement with and is described as being formulated with micro fine pigments for high-impact, bold colour. With shades such as Bombshell Red, Naughty Plum and Bare Affair being just 3 of the shades.

Encased inside a black case, the lid has a see-through top so that you can see which colour is inside, a nice little addition for lipstick hoarders like me who put them into a holder and can never tell which shade is which.  On the lips, they are creamy, satiny and moisturising and really easy to apply and last around 4 hours.

Ultra HD Gel Lipcolor - I was already a fan of these lipcolors and really like the formula which is incredibly hydrating thanks to the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid.  Almost like wearing a lip balm, these lipcolors are incredibly pigmented and thankfully non-sticky.

Within my Lip Wardrobe I had two shades (there are 15 available) which are Sand and Pink Cloud.  Sand is your peach toned nude, a shade that possibly everyone needs within their lip wardrobe and Pink Cloud which is a little too pink for me to wear but it is still a very pretty shade.

Ultra HD Metallic Matte Lipcolor - Usually the term metallic to me means bright and shiny, but these are Metallic Matte Lipcolors and Revlon describe them as being a lightweight, high definition velvety metallic matte colour. which are Moisturizing with a velvety feel. They are a100% wax-free, gel formula and an apparent favourite of Gwen Stefani.

I have two shades Gleam which is a pinky nude shade and Shine which is a berry shade.  You can wear these on their own or you can pair them up with another lipstick, but what I love is the metallic effect.  It isn't over the top glitter, but there is shine and a bit of sparkle, you will also need a lipliner because they both feather, but I like these two a lot.

Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor - Described as being a lightweight, high definition matte lip colour, this is the sister lipcolour to the Metallic Matte and it is every bit as stunning.  On the lips, it is incredibly moisturising and also has a velvety feel but for me, what lets it down is that you need a lot of layers to get full coverage, otherwise it is just too streaky. The swatch below showing how one swipe isn't enough and in the end, it took 5 swipes to achieve what I would want coverage wise.

Infatuation is a really deep brown-red almost burgundy shade and again it is a 100% wax-free, gel formula.  I really like how comfortable this is to wear and it lasts a good 4-5 hours, leaving a slight stain on the lips as it fades.

Colorstay Lipliner- One item I tend to never think of buying is a lip liner and these Colorstay liners from Revlon are described as being long-wearing, provides definition, helps lip colour last longer and prevents feathering and bleeding.

Available in 6 shades and I have both Nude and Plum.  I really like how soft and smooth the formula is when used it doesn't feel as though it is being dragged across the skin of your lips and I have found they both make a really good base for applying lipstick.

Admittedly this is quite a lipstick wardrobe with everything you might ever need to find and know about from Revlon.  I really am glad there were lip liners included because it does reinforce to me how much of a difference they do make when wearing lipstick, especially a liquid lipstick.  I have become massively impressed with the HD Gel Lip Color and really want to try a few more shades from the range but the one which surprised me the most was the Metallic Matte because I expected to really dislike it and didn't.

If you are encouraged to discover your lipstick wardrobe with Revlon, then right now everything is on offer with Superdrug.

Touch In Sol Corean Complexion Cream SPF30

If you read this post then you will know by now that I have become a little obsessed with K-Beauty brand Touch In Sol. Hailing from South Korea, Touch in Sol is said to embrace the spirit of Korean innovation, Touch In Sol is fun, innovative and uses some of the most advanced technologies and everything I have tried so far I have just absolutely loved. Using a whole host of natural, botanical ingredients, Touch In Sol aims to not only brighten up your day with fun products but with products that are functional and serve a purpose.

Today I am sharing with you the Corean Complexion Cream which is simply incredible. I use a lot of green coloured skin correctors to tone down my redness, a tip I picked up from a Makeup Artist friend of mine and ever since that discovery, I always have something in my stash. This CC cream is like that discovery, you didn't know you needed it until you had it and now you have it, you wonder how you have managed without it.

This CC Cream is described as being a buildable cream which not only evens out the skin tone but it also smoothes fine lines and pores. It is lightweight on the skin and feels incredibly soft and smooth as you apply it and what it does is help use a capsule-based formula which is designed to adapt to all skin tones to create a natural-looking finish. Best applied to a cleansed and toned face, I always prime first and then use this CC cream and if my cheeks are particularly red, then I colour correct first too, but I have noticed that I am using less of the green colour correcting products and am instead using this. I use my fingertips to blend this onto and into my skin in circular motions, almost mimicking the application of any moisturising cream that I use.

This CC cream is enriched with Okra which is often referred to as natures botox because it helps plump the skin, antioxidant grapeseed oil which helps to fight the signs of ageing and they both work alongside the natural botanicals of jasmine, iris and rose, all of which come to together to moisturise and naturally hydrate.  So you have makeup looking after your skin and with an SPF30, it is quite impressive!

You can find this Corean Complexion Cream retailing for just £21 at both Cult Beauty and ASOS and it is an absolute must try product!
