Fresh Floral Recovery Calming Mask

I was kindly gifted the Fresh Floral Recovery Calming Mask to test and try for a month to see what a difference it made to my skin and I loved it so much, this is my second pot.  As a brand, Fresh is one I am fairly familiar with having used both the cult Soy Cleanser and the Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask and I feel it is one I now want to try every single product from because I have only ever had a positive experience.

Described as being an overnight face mask that is clinically proven to calm signs of sensitivity—such as redness, uneven tone, and rough texture—for an even toned complexion, after having Covid, my skin really wasn’t happy, it had gone from being my usual combination oily to really dehydrated and sore to the touch in parts and just felt really uncomfortable. So armed with serums, oils and anything I could find, this mask just slotted into my routine with ease.

I’m already a fan of what I call ‘lazy skincare’ and that is anything I can use to work its magic as I sleep - usually in the form of a serum, mask or cream. The first thing I do when I get home from work is remove the day, which is a reference to anything and everything which is lurking on my skin - double cleanse always, maybe exfoliate if it’s the day I would usually perform this action.

This dermatologist-tested overnight face mask, which is designed to cocoon your skin as you sleep, is powered by floral extracts which work to calm and reduce the look of redness on sensitive skin as well as to target uneven skin tone, roughness and even inflammation. As the name suggests, the floral extracts such as passionflower oil and cornflower water come together to work to calm and sooth, then there is cherry blossom and peony which combine forces to even skin texture and smooth. Added to the flower extracts is vitamin C and squalane which work to brighten and smooth the skin, all whilst you sleep.

On the skin, this mask, which is not as thick a cream as I was expecting it to be, does apply with minimal effort and ease, though I use a a brush to apply mine. Once on the skin, it does absorb without leaving a greasy feeling on the skin, but as soon as you are happy with the layer of mask on the skin, you simply leave it overnight and then the following morning, ive always found my skin to feel soft, smooth and really hydrated.

With the tackling of redness, whilst I do often suffer with flare-ups, what I've found is that this mask works best for me as a calming treatment, especially if my skin has reacted to a product, it immediately soothes and calms down any redness.

A 100ml pot of this Fresh Floral Recovery Calming Mask is priced at £59 and it is very much worth its price, whether you are looking for an overnight mask, something to calm the redness or as a treat, for me, it has ticked every single box.
