Purity London Skincare Review

Purity London Skincare is a fragrance-free brand which makes it very suitable for sensitive skin.  One of the questions and comments I get all the time is about a fragrance within a product and whether or not it is synthetic or natural.  There is a definite split between those people who don't mind a scent and those who do.  Just before the Summer, I was kindly sent a set of four products from the Purity London Skincare range, I brand I had seen on my Instagram feed but had never tried and anyone who knows me will know that I love trying out new skincare.

For me with skincare, I am hugely obsessed by what it is in it, like most things, I want to know what is going onto my skin. Over time I have managed to work out that my skin hates Mineral Oil but absolutely loves Salicylic Acid - something I hadn't discovered until about a year ago.
Purity London skincare uses natural and organic ingredients that are hard-working but few in number that are cleverly combined to encourage skin to work as it should. Where possible the same core ingredients run throughout the range to give your skin the simplicity of regime it needs and to ensure affordability.

The products I was kindly sent from Purity London included a Conditioning Cleansing Lotion, a Facial Exfoliator, a Face Wash and a Facial Moisturiser.  The first product I am sharing with you today is the Conditioning Cleansing Lotion (£9.99) which describes itself as being a blend of clever ingredients which effectively break down and gently remove the day's grime and make-up.

Ingredients within this cleanser include Sweet Almond Oil, Aloe Vera and Glycerine which help to soften and moisturise the skin. Then we have Oat Kernal Flour whose job is to condition and restore, Amino Acids which help the skin to absorb moisture, Avocado Oil which also helps condition the skin before the inclusion of both Euphrasia and Rose Water come together to tone the skin.  What I liked about this conditioner is how it felt on the skin, it definitely is moisturising and those who suffer from dry skin would probably like this product a lot.  It is definitely creamy but one which is easily removed with water or a damp cotton wool pad.

I try to exfoliate my skin twice a week and included within my package from Purity London is this Facial Exfoliator (£9.99).

Described as being a deep pore cleanser, what I like about this exfoliator is again how it feels on the skin.  I like to use an exfoliator that I can feel working on my skin, I know this differs for some people but we can't all like the same things.  Using ground coconut shell as the exfoliator, it is gentle enough not to scratch the skin but strong enough to remove that dead skin that seems to cling to everything.  It also uses Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Aloe Vera which are quite the power trio in ensuring that your skin is not only conditioned and moisturised but also soft and smooth to the touch.

If using a cleanser isn't for you, then this Face Wash (£8.99) might be for you.  I am quite particular when it comes to a face wash and I don't like anything that is too harsh on my skin, leaving it feeling stripped of absolutely everything.  This product doesn't do any of that.

Like the rest of the range so far, this Face Wash uses sweet Almond Oil, Aloe Vera and Glycerine for softening and skin conditioning but to really give the skin that clean feeling, with this wash you will find that it is formulated with a sugar-based foam to cleanse.  I have a love-hate relationship with foaming cleansers, my skin either loves them or it hates them.  If it hates them we have huge problems because my skin is often left feeling taut and generally not feeling in good condition, I often feel like I have to douse my skin in oils to add in some of that lost moisture. With this cleanser, the foam is gentle enough not to strip my skin and instead leave it feeling so smooth to the touch.

The final product within my package is the Face Moisturiser (£12.99) and for me, it wasn't my favourite product but it isn't a bad product.

Described as being a deeply effective Day Moisturiser and it uses a blend of Coconut Oil which works alongside both Shea Butter and Beeswax. Together this trio works to provide moisture retention, softening and protection throughout the day. Also added into the mix is Vitamin E and Aloe Vera too.  On the skin, this cream has a light texture, though it does look quite thick, once it is on the skin, it absorbs really quickly and leaves no trace it was ever there.

This was a great introduction to Purity London, four very different products which all come together to create a really lovely skincare routine without breaking the bank.
