Feral Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks

Feral Cosmetics is a brand I have loved getting to know and they hail all the way from Los Angeles. Feral Cosmetics is a cruelty-free and vegan beauty brand which comes all the way from Los Angeles and I have really loved getting to know more about who they are and discover how fabulous their lip products are. Here in the UK Feral Cosmetics can be found on Beauty Chamber.  Not too long ago I featured both the Liquid Matte Lipsticks and the Ultra Satin Lipsticks here and here.

New to launch from Feral Cosmetics are six new shades within the Liquid Matte Lipstick range and I am sharing them with you today. One thing to note with Feral  Cosmetics is just how amazing the formula is, often with matte liquids, I find them to quite drying and not great with longevity, quite a different story with these.
“Feral Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks are creamy smooth, fully opaque and dry matte with a touch proof finish. Long Lasting High End Formula. Cruelty Free & Vegan. All Feral products are free from any animal derived ingredients and they do not test on animals.“

The six new shades are a great mixture of shades, so whether you like your nudes and pinks or maybe something a little bit different and more out there,

Here are the new shades and as well as being a fabuous formula, I also love the doe foot applicator which doesn't over capture too much product for application.
  • Say I Do – described as being a special colour for that special day. A really lovely, every day medium pink shade.
  • Mocha holic – the darkest shad within the new releases and I never thought I would want to wear a brown lip colour, but I quite like this, it is warm toned and dries much lighter than I was expecting.
  • Page Me 143 – An incredible cool toned nude and my favourite of the 6 shades here. Easy to wear, perfect for all occasions and one I have worn the most.
  • Unicorn Poop – For those who love their bold shades, Unicorn Poop is most definitely for you, it is bold, bright and incredibly Kooky!
  • Sex on the Beach – This is a really pretty bright orange toned red which is said to have been inspired by watermelon. It dries the quickest of all 6 shades too.
  • Rosé All Day – If you like your pastel nude shades, then this is the one for you. With a slight peach undertone, it is very pretty and again perfect for all occasions.
I think all 6 of these shades are really pretty and I love that there is a mixture of bright and bold with natural and nude shades.  I am most comfortable wearing shades are all just stunning and naturally, I am more comfortable wearing Page Me 143 than I am Unicorn Poop, there might just be that one time when I need to have a bright purple lip. When swatching these shades, they do dry pretty quickly and in the photograph shown below, which is unedited, you can see that Unicorn Poop is dry whereas Sex On The Beach and Page Me 143 are still drying.
Feral Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks
Longevity is a big factor for some people when purchasing their lipstick. You don't want to be spending upwards of £20 on something that lasts just an hour on the lips when applied.  These liquid lipsticks are priced at £15 each, which I think is an incredible bargain and when I have worn Page Me 143, I have had 5-6 hours wear before I have felt I needed to re-apply.
Once applied, they are not drying and don't feel as though they will crack should you smile and they sit so comfortably, I forget I am wearing a liquid lip.

I think it is fair to say that I am quite a fan of Feral Cosmetics and I am excited to see what they have to release next.  Available from Beauty Chamber.

L'Occitane Immortelle Reset

What if you could hit "Reset", erase the impact of stress and fatigue and wake up every morning with fresh, reset, rested healthy-looking skin?

Is the question asked by L'Occitane upon the launch and release of their new Immortelle Resent Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum.
L'Occitane Immortelle Reset
As products go, this one certainly has the wow factor when it comes to being beautiful looking, I mean all those little colourful balls floating about in a serum waiting to be popped had me as soon as I saw it.   We all lead busy lives, much busier than some generations have ever faced, something my friends mum commented on recently.  With these busy lives comes stress, pollution and more besides.  With all this in mind, we sleep less, are always in a hurry and sometimes we all need to just sit back, take a few minutes of time to reset.

Immortelle Reset from L'Occitane recognises the busy lives we lead, the stress and fatigue we all face, more so skin fatigue. So when asked the question posed at the beginning of the post, would you?

L'Occitane Immortelle Reset
It is common knowledge that our skin is best able to repair and regenerate itself at night without having to fight common aggressors such as UV Rays, pollution and stress. It is said that during this peaceful time, our skin is better able to absorb and metabolise active ingredients from our skincare for maximum impact.  With that in mind, the Immortelle Reset is most effective when used at night and there are three ingredients which are suspended in what is referred to as being an innovative dual textured serum and they are:

  • IMMORTELLE ESSENTIAL OIL is an iconic and powerful anti-oxidant. The plant extracts have the power to boost collagen production and double the rate of micro-circulation in the skin, aiding in cell renewal and skin firmness.
  • ACMELLA OLERACEA EXTRACT is known by some as the natural alternative to Botox. When applied topically, this plant extract relaxes muscle tension under the skin and by doing so, eases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for skin that looks rested.
  • MARJORAM EXTRACT is a powerful active ingredient works on the basis of Epigenetics: it has the ability to restart gene expression functions that have become dormant and less effective due to natural ageing and external aggressors such as UV, pollution and stress.

So, all three of these fabulous ingredients work together in this dual texture and when it is applied to the skin, the first thing to note is just how lightweight the texture is, the water-gel being so light you barely even notice it.  Absorbed quickly, those golden yellow balls you see suspended within the serum, burst and slowly deliver a powerful dose of Immortelle oil extracts deep into the skin.

I love how this feels on my skin, it is smooth, non-sticky and non-greasy. I use this serum as my first step after cleansing in an evening but before my regular serum and night cream and I definitely, have skin which looks and feels more hydrated and moisturised, plus there is a glow!

Priced at £49 you find it Immortelle Reset right here and I would love to know if you are a fan of L'Occitane.

touch in SOL Dixi Chicxi Glossy

There is no stopping touch in SOL right now with their new releases and if you haven't heard of them or come across the brand before, then I have shared plenty of them right here on this blog! Hailing from Korea, touch in SOLhas been designed to embrace the spirit of Korean innovation. touch In Sol is fun, innovative and uses some of the most advanced technologies. If you know anything about Korean Beauty, you will be aware that they are very much ahead of us when it comes to beauty innovations, so the chance to try them as soon as they hit the UK is quite special.

The latest new release is quite catchy and Dixi Chicxi Glossy is a soft creamy tint which gives you a vivid shot of colour to create rosy cheeks.

What I like about these, and I have three of them, is the texture.  It is neither sticky or tacky when applied and instead feels really moisturising.  With the doe-foot applicator, you can dab the colour onto your cheeks and then use your fingers to blend it or even a brush and beauty blender, depending on your preference.

There are three shades currently to work with which are Vivid Orange, Sweet Pink and Soft Coral and depending on your preference, you can build up the colour to get the look you are hoping for.  If the application to the cheeks is not for you, then you can also use them as a gloss and again, they work well on their own or with a lipstick.  I tend to use Sweet Pink to give my cheeks a flush of colour.

The swatches shown in the top photo are unedited and the same with the second photo, only the sun was shining rather brightly, what you see is what you get with Dixi Chicxi. From left to right we have Soft Coral, Vivid Orange and Sweet Pink.  I really like all three shades and think they are perfect for the Summer.

Available now, you can find out more about Dixi Chicxi and the rest of the touch in SOL range via Debenhams, Selfridges and ASOS.
