(AD) HOME ALLERGY TESTS KITS MADE EASY WITH KLARIFY

For the past year, most of us have in one way shape or form been been 'locked down' due to the Pandemic. For me, this has meant not coming to my office at all for over 365, something that has never ever been heard of! Now as I have slowly started to come out of hibernation and back into the land of the living, I do worry about what staying home might have done to my immune system.

There are things I cannot use because they irritate my skin, such as Deep Heat but I have never suffered from an allergy of any kind - things such as dust, hayfever or even food, other family relatives and close friends however have all kinds of allergies, including one of my closest friends who has an allergy to nuts and I always remember her having to go to hospital have blood tests and it seemed to be a never-ending trial to find out what was causing her to feel absolutely dreadful.  Thankfully now, life has evolved somewhat and there are new ways to test for allergies from the comfort of your own home, removing the need to visit a hospital or your GP to have blood taken.

An Allergy is described as being
"an allergic reaction takes place when your immune system mistakenly identifies a harmless substance as a threat and takes excessive defensive action. Substances that trigger an allergic reaction are called allergens".
This allergy may affect your family life, work performance, social activities it may also affect your sleep, which in turn can impact your energy levels during the day. Some allergies can also be life-threatening. Having an allergy affects roughly 1 in 4 adults and 1 in 10 children and whilst many of them are easy to diagnose, some go undetected and are often confused with other issues. If you have symptoms such as itching, skin reactions or even a frequent runny nose, it is not necessarily just a cold, it could be an allergy to dust mites, a food product or even pollen.

Klarify.me have an easy to use home testing kit which:
  • Tests 294 different allergens
  • Uses sophisticated technology
  • Detects allergen specific IgE
  • Has precision allergen component testing
  • Gives comprehensive and reliable results within 2 weeks
Everything you need with this test is included within the box, so there is no need to take a trip to your local pharmacy with a shopping list of products you need.

What I find impressive is that there are over 294 allergens checked from one simple prick of your finger and it is worth noting that this test isn't going to look for intolerances, it is looking for allergies - think pollen, dust mites and mites amongst other things. It does also include a list of foods within the allergens, items such as fruit, cereals, seafood and vegetables.

Allergy testing may help you to find answers to questions you have been looking for on Dr Google to answer questions as to why you feel the way you do. Finding out which triggers might be causing your symptoms and un turn ruling out others can not only put your mind at rest, but also arm you with the correct information to help you to better manage that allergy. What an allergy test is not, is a diagnosis, only your Doctor/GP can give you an allergy diagnosis and ideally the tests of any test should be considered with your medical background.

If you think you do have allergies you can try the allergy quiz before ordering one of the testing kits, it will ask a few simple questions to determine what might be causing any issues before telling you whether or not you should purchase the test. You can find a lot more details on allergies on the Klarify.me website.

L’Occitane Almond Milky Bath

This is my 4th bottle of the L’Occitane Almond Milky bath having been lucky enough to have been gifted a bottle, I’ve since ordered more! The Almond range from L’Occitane is my absolute favourite range and whether it is the shower oil, hand cream, body lotion or this Milky Bath, it is one which features a lot in this house. Infact, the only products left to try from the range is the hair care and the scrub!
L’Occitane Almond Milky Bath
Housed in a 500ml silver bottle, two teaspoon sized drops or two capfuls into your running bath water is all you need to take in that most wonderful of scents. On contact with the water, it transforms into a milky veil almost instantly.

Almonds are one of the most commonly used in beauty treatments from the shell and milk to the nut and oil. Packed with antioxidants that help to fight free radicals, it also has a high level of Vitamin E which helps to protect the skin from sun damage and premature ageing.

In products such as this milky bath, the almond oil helps to relieve redness, irritation, inflammation and itching, and as an emollient the skin is left feeling much soother and softer to the touch, all without being greasy. Alongside the almond oil you will find Sunflower oil which is not only rich in antioxidants, it is also packed with vitamins and is both soothing and moisturising for the skin. Then we have Bergamot oil which has an uplifting citrusy scent, perfect for aiding relaxation from stress.
L’Occitane Almond Milky Bath
If you are a fan of the L’Occitane Almond range, then I have no doubt that, like me, you will absolutely love this Milky Bath! It is priced at £26 and is available from L’Occitane and all stores which stock the brand such as John Lewis, Marks & Spencer and FeelUnique to name a few.
