Glossybox Pride Edition

I am loving Glossybox right now, its been quite some time that I have felt able to say that but the Vegan Box, The Mermaid-esque Under The Sea Box and now this month's Pride Edition Box have all been pretty darn good!
Glossybox Pride Edition

This month, we see a bold collection of products that have been put together with Pride in mind and I absolutely love it. The box which features 6 full-size beauty products worth over £58, has a specially designed outer box. To support with the Pride celebrations GLOSSYBOX have teamed up with Defected Records’ GLITTERBOX to offer two lucky winners free guestlists to the Official Manchester Pride Afterparty on Saturday 25th August, alongside a collaboration with influencers Joseph Harwood and Jack Hayes. GLOSSYBOX’s Pride Edition will also see a competition with BOOHOO for a chance to win their Pride clothing collection and support for Manchester Pride throughout the month.

The first item out of the box this month is the Victoria's Secret Pink Sheet Mask (£5). Packaged inside the rainbow sachet is a nourishing sheet mask which is s=designed to feel like a second skin whilst being worn.
Glossybox Pride Edition
Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, it is designed to give you up to 15 minutes of chill time before you get ready to party.

Next out of the box is one of the more regular brands ive been getting to know via Glossybox and that is the Trifle Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Jam (£17.50) - Described as being a multitasking product which gives you a healthy flush for up to 10 hours, it can be used on both your cheeks and on your lips.
Glossybox Pride Edition
It is a colour that can be built up or left as sheer as you want it to be. I have been using it on my lips to add a little bit of colour.

A new brand to me is Kaledio Cosmetics and in this months box is the most amazing highlighter in shade Astrolight (£13).  With a formula that allows you to be subtle or totally get your glow on, what surprised me the most is just how pigmented this shade is.

I have used it as an eyeshadow topper twice now, despite it being a highlighter and you can also add a drop or two into your foundation for that dewy look.

For me, 3INA is one of those underrated brands and it is one I really really like and can never seem to leave the Covent Garden store empty-handed.  Within this months box is the Shadow Paint in 703 (£8.95).
Glossybox Pride Edition
I've never used the Shadow Paints before and whilst this isn't a shade I would choose, I do love how it comes packaged and I do like the shade because it isn't too bright a blue. Waterproof and highly pigmented, it can also be used as a liner!

The final two products within this months box come from Rimmel.  Firstly there are some sticker tattoos (£4.99) which admittedly I feel much too old to find them cool, however, said to be waterproof and last for up to 4 days, if you are festival bound they would come in quite handy.
Glossybox Pride Edition
The final item is the Ink Me Stamp (£4.99) which is in the shape of a Heart.  Perfect for celebrating #LoveisLove, this heart stamp is an intense deep black matte shade and it does have a Kat Von D feel about the design and small enough to fit into your handbag too.

I really like this months box. I love the theme, I love the contents and I love how much thought has gone into making this box what it is.

Latest In Beauty - Icons 10 Years Anniversary Box

There has been a lot of hype about this box from Latest In Beauty. I've just watched the live unboxing on Instagram with the lovely Jem and Harrie and it is one cracking box. Launched to celebrate 10 years of making world-class cosmetics accessible to beauty addicts across the UK, the beauty brains behind the LiB team have curated an edition of 13 hand selected beauty heroes that you need to try. This indulgent edit, worth £238 and yours for just £50, is a must-have for any Latest in Beauty addict.
Latest In Beauty - Icons Box
Inside this box, you will find a total of 13 products and there is some pretty incredible brands which include:
  • Omorovicza Illuminating Moisturiser - One of my favourite brands, I was so chuffed to see it featured in this box. Described as being an intensely nourishing cream, it is infused with a host of vitamins, essential oils and natural ingredients sourced from around the world, the moisturiser helps to restore suppleness and radiance back into dry, ageing skin. Rich in Apple Pectin and Plum Almond Oil, it delivers long-lasting hydration, whilst Ruby Crystal blurs the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother, firmer-looking canvas. Infusing skin with beneficial ingredients, the moisturiser utilises a Hydro Mineral Transference™ delivery system that facilitates mineral absorption for maximum benefit within the skin.
  • Starskin Lip Mask - These masks are formulated with naturally fermented, Vitamin-rich Coconut Juice alongside a blend of Sea Fern, Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid which instantly work to visibly plump lips, improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful look
  • Starskin The Master Cleanser Detoxing Sea Kelp Leaf Face Mask - Refresh and purify stressed and fatigued skin with this organic face sheet mask. It contours closely to the face, delivering a boost of hydration and exceptional results. The mask is drenched in a revitalising skincare serum which aims to boosts the skin’s health and visible firmness. Formulated with a blend of Sea Kelp Leaves, Fenugreek Seed extract and Camellia Oil, the cleansing mask works to visibly reduce the appearance of blemishes and imperfections, whilst Cantella Asiatica helps restore youthfulness
  • Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Peel - Formulated with a patented two-step system that combines 5 Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids plus Retinol, Ubiquinone, Resveratrol and a host of antioxidants, vitamins and soothing botanicals, it smoothes and enriches your skin through microexfoliation to leave it looking youthful and radiant.
  • ColourWow Dreamcoat - Described as being a groundbreaking 3-day texture spray that prevents water from frizzing up your hair & destroying your style. Dream Coat gives you sleek, silky texture plus humidity proofing for up to 72 hours. Using advanced technology, this product covers your hair with an invisible waterproofing cloak.
  • SmashBox Photo Finish Primer - A transparent primer gel that smoothes skin and blurs flaws. It was developed to help makeup look better and last longer on set.
  • Masqd Blush brush - Described as being Perfectly soft, medium-packed bristles and a dome-shaped head ensures that colour ‘pops’ in exactly the right place and the brush picks up just the right amount of pigment.
  • OPI Got Myself into a Jam-Balaya - Described as being a yummy mélange of spice and creamy peach
  • Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer - An Iconic brand if ever there was one, it took me a while to find anything to rave about with this product, but it is amazing. The one in this box is the Coconut Breeze option and I want it for the scent alone. Described as being an exotic-scented treatment combines notes of Bergamot, Orange and Soft Peach to mimic coastline freshness, with creamy Coconut, Jasmine and Vanilla to intoxicate the senses. Intensely moisturising, the pre-cleanse formula will improve elasticity, manageability and bounce whilst inspiring mirror-like shine.
  • Eve Lom Cleanser - This exfoliating cleanser includes a unique blend of ingredients which each activate individual cleansing properties. Clove Oil's antiseptic properties encourage clear skin, Eucalyptus Oil drains away toxins, Hops Oil tones, and Egyptian Chamomile and Cocoa Butter soften and soothe the skin.
  • RODIAL XXL Lip Liner in Nude - A matte dusky pink, this lipliner is said to give high coverage and excellent colour payoff with long-lasting, waterproof and anti-feathering wear.  A plumping complex, including Vegetal Filling Spheres and Hyaluronic Acid ensure lips appear smoothed and plumped with long-lasting hydration
  • PAULA’S CHOICE  Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment - I really like this treatment, having tried it on more than a few occasions. Fortified with 1% retinol and a blend of beneficial antioxidants, the treatment gets to work on ageing skin. It absorbs quickly to instantly refine enlarged pores, smooth out deep wrinkles and fine lines, and eliminate brown spots. Its advanced, lightweight formula improves skin elasticity and helps correct pigmentation from old blemishes, whilst added liquorice and oat extract minimise irritation that some people experience with retinol-infused products.
  • BLINKBROWBAR Intense Kajal Eyeliner - This eyeliner contains waxes derived from olive and jojoba oil, this Kajal Pencil is ideal for sensitive eyes and skin due to a formula free of mineral oils and preservatives. The addition of a smudger on one end of the pencil allows you to easily create your desired look.
I would love to know what your thoughts are on this box!

Cult Beauty Brand of the Month – Hourglass

Every single month, Cult Beauty have a different brand as their ‘Brand of the Month‘ where they focus on one particular brand for the whole month. For the month of August, Cult Beauty is focusing on Hourglass. Cult Beauty says that Hourglass is worshipped for incandescent powders, butter-soft blushers and a game-changing range of complexion perfectors, Hourglass combines science, luxury and beauty to create the most magnificent makeup. Blending ground-breaking active ingredients with innovative technology, the products make for surreal skin – and the sleek, chic packaging.
It might surprise you to learn that as a Beauty Blogger there is a whole list of brands I have not yet tried - Tarte, Glossier, Chantecallie and Hourglass. That isn't to say I don't hanker after the products and don't want to try them, I absolutely do and for Hourglass, this is my wishlist.

Girl Lip Stylo (£26) - With its vibrant colour pay off and lipstick, it features a rich, nourishing blend of shea butter, jojoba, mimosa and sunflower seed oils to replenish moisture and minimise dryness for a silky, soft and plumped finish. There is over 20 shades to choose from and ive got my eye on Activist, Inventor and Seeker!

Caution Extreme Lash Mascara (£12) - I am a bit of a mascara fiend and given this is just £12 there is no chance I am not going to be buying this. Described as being the Mascara which gives enviable length, extreme volume and eye-opening definition for your most explosive lash look ever. It is infused with moisturising panthenol, the formula conditions the lashes in order to leave them soft and non-stiff.

No.28 Primer Serum (£24 travel size). Described as being a primer and serum in one, it is infused with 28 beneficial ingredients which are made up of 14 essential oils (including rose, lavender and lemon), 10 lipid-rich plant oils to hydrate skin’s deeper layers (including hazelnut and rose hip) and four nourishing vitamins to condition the complexion (A, B5, C and E). Coming together they all work to nourish skin and prepare it perfectly for make up application.

Ambient Lighting Bronzer (£45) - I am definitely more of a bronzer girl than a blusher girl and there is something about the Hourglass bronzers which have that wow factor.  I adore the look of Luminous Bronzer light which is described as being ideal for fair, light complexions, which is most definitely me. Said to have buildable bronze pigments, the bronzer is also enhanced with ‘Photoluminescent Technology’ to maintain vibrancy, depth and dimension.

Veil Translucent Setting Powder (£14 travel size) - Suitable for all skin tones, this finely milled and weightless, this flawless powder features soft-focus light-reflecting particles, which instantly blur imperfections and minimise the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles.  I love the look of the innovative signature Hourglass sifter which is said to ensure you can use this mess-free powder anywhere.

I would love to know what your favourite Hourglass products are and what you feel I need in my life!
