ALL The best beauty Easter eggs for 2022

Beauty Easter Eggs are definitely not something new, they’ve been around for quite a few years now and having shared my favourites in 2019, 2020 and last year, I thought I would share some of the options already available for 2022, with more to come.

Without question, beauty Easter eggs are a lot of fun, especially if, like me you are a bit of a beauty buff and absolutely love any excuse to try new brands, like kooky packaging and like a bit of a treat.

Starting with Lookfantastic, for me, the Easter Egg offering gets better and better each year and this one is no exception.

On sale now for just £65, the contents of this Egg are said to be worth £217 and it has, for the past 5 years sold out pretty quickly.  Featuring eight brands and their products, you will find a selection from Eve Lom, Rodial, REN, Medik8, Color WOW, OUAI, Elemis and Rituals.

Up next we have another beauty box Easter Egg offering and this time it is from Glossybox.

Winning the prize for the cutest looking Easter Egg in my opinion, this is the fourth year in a row that Glossybox has put together a beauty Easter egg, and in true Glossybox style, they sell out quickly, the record being in 30 minutes.

Worth over £110 inside you find brands such as Too Faced, Laura Mercier and Frank Body to name just a few and if it sounds like one you need in your life there is a waiting list to sign up to!  It will be on sale for £25 if you are a monthly subscriber and £35 to everyone else.

One brand I hoped would have a Beauty Egg and does is Lush. If there is one thing that Lush does really well, for me it is their seasonal offerings.

The Lush Golden Egg, which is on sale for just £40 is the one which is very extra. The Lush Golden Egg is 100% recycled, everything from the box it comes in to the ribbon which wraps it - a lesson for many brands out there right now.

Inside this Golden Egg Lush state you have everything you need to be truly relaxed and it includes a Dragon’s Egg bath bomb, Easter Bunny bubble bar, What’s Up, Doc? shower gel, honey lip scrub and bath bomb.

Some brands for 2022 are offering more than one Beauty Egg and starting with Rituals who have a total of three different Eggs to choose from, there is something for everyone.

Priced at £39.50, each one of these three eggs features a foaming shower gel, hand balm, travel-sized perfume and repairing lip balm, all you have to do is choose which Rituals scent gets your attention the most - The Rituals of Mehr shown above, The Rituals of Sakura or The Rituals of Karma?

Those are just a few of the Beauty Eggs that have been released for sale or shared and I know there is a few more to come, though the details of one is under embargo, so I will share it as soon as I can.

L'Occitane Rose Jasmin Eau de Toilette

One of my favourite fragrance notes is Jasmine, except in Thierry Mugler Angel (vile), it was in the notes of my wedding fragrance which Bvlagri has sadly discontinued. L’Occitane have released a new Eau de Toilette called Rose Jasmin and I’ve been wearing it for the past few weeks now and I absolutely love it. Rose is one of those scents that I find people either love or hate, for me if it is a fresh scent and by that I mean not manufactured to smell like Rose, then I love it.
L'Occitane Rose Jasmin Eau de Toilette
Described as being a delicate, fresh and floral fragrance that is elegant and feminine, Rose Jasmin Eau de Toilette is a celebration of the modern woman; feminine and floral with an individual twist. It comes packaged in the most beautiful of muted pink bottles which is quite unlike other L’Occitane fragrances that I have used and I love the style.
This delicately crafted floral bouquet combines the noble rose centifolia, evocative of modern femininity and sweet jasmine wrapped in a veil of white musk and woody notes for a feminine and floral fragrance.
So quite the description of the fragrance from L’Occitane and the perfume notes give the impression that it could be anything but floral, but it most definitely sits in the floral family category. Opening with top notes of lemon and peppercorn you get that freshness without the tart citrus note because for me, the heart notes appear very quickly with the Rose Centifolia which is sweet and subtle, Jasmine Absolute which is really uplifting and calming and then Magnolia which pairs really well with Jasmine and is a sweeter floral note. The base notes of Cedarwood, Musk, Oak Moss, Lorenox come together to add that woody effect to work with those florals.

This isn’t an overwhelming fragrance at all, it is delicate and floral and one which lingers all day on the skin or on your chosen clothing. It is just absolutely delightful as a fragrance, definitely one for spring and summer.
L'Occitane Rose Jasmin Eau de Toilette
If you love Rose and Jasmin as fragrances notes, aside from the perfume there is also a shower gel and body lotion, making the perfect trip for laying the scent to really make it stand out. The fragrance is priced at £52 for 50ml, which is a great price point and is up there with one of my favourite L’Occitane Eau de Toilettes.

When Should You Switch Back to Summer Tyres?

Many people in the UK do not bother with winter tyres – or 'snow tyres' as they are sometimes called. This is a little misleading as winter tyres do not necessarily need inches of snow to work well. 'Cold weather tyres' is possibly a better name for them as the temperature is often a factor in their use. Having opted for winter tyres, how do you know when to go back to your summer or regular tyres? Let's take a look.

When the Temperature is Right
Winter/ cold weather/ snow tyres work best in conditions below 7°C. When your car thermometer is regularly showing 7°C or below during your commute, you can probably benefit from fitting cold weather tyres: and exactly the opposite is true too. Once the commute temperature average is above 7°C, you can safely switch back to your summer or all-purpose tyres. In fact, make this change as quickly as you can, because winter tyres are much softer than regular tyres and will begin to wear away rapidly once exposed to warmer conditions.

When the Time is Right
If your vehicle doesn't have a thermometer built into it, or if you are the forgetful type, do not despair about remembering to make the change at an appropriate time, there are a couple of ways to mark the event.

In the UK, daylight savings comes into effect towards the end of October, and ends towards the end of March. Entirely coincidentally, but fortuitously, these dates also mark approximately when average temperatures reach that 7°C threshold, so if you can link changing your tyres with putting the clock forward or back an hour, that will work reasonably well.

Another, even simpler way to remember it, is to check weather records for your area over the last twenty years or so, and pop a reminder in your phone's calendar feature to let you know to book your car in to have the tyres changed over.

When the Road Conditions are Right
Cold weather tyres are sometimes known as 'snow and mud' tyres too. This is because muddy roads are quite similar to snowy roads when it comes to tyres being able to grip the road's surface. This can mean that switching to winter tyres during cold wet conditions is a good solution, changing back to regular tyres once conditions dry up a little and slippery mud is no longer a problem.

Whether you need to invest in your first set of cold weather tyres, renew your summer tyres or are just thinking ahead, we recommend you to buy cheap tyres online from Dartford Tyres and get them delivered to your doorstep. No upfront payment required! Their friendly staff and expert advice will make you a repeat customer for life.
