Avon Planet Spa Aromatherapy Beauty Sleep Pillow Mist

I am a huge fan of mists for the home and I have quite a collection of different scents and fragrances depending on my mood. Sleep, is either something that comes or it teases me and I get the odd few hours here and there, you might have noticed that from my Instagram! One kind of Mist I can’t ever be without is a sleep mist, whilst they might not have a super power to send me off to sleep, they do wonders to relax the mind.

The latest addition to my evening routine comes from Avon and their Plant Spa Aromatherapy Range. The range itself features eight products and it has everything from masks and body butters to hand creams and sprays. The Pillow Mist I have is the Planet Spa Aromatherapy Beauty Sleep Pillow Mist with French Lavendar and Chamomile Essential oils and it is delightful and definitely need to become a candle!

Described as being a multi-use spray, it’s job is to deliver an instant hit or calm and it is ideal to be used on your pillow before you lay down to sleep, on your bed covers such as the duvet, on your towels if you shower before bed, on your house coat (dressing gown) or even in the air. My rule is spray on whatever you need to or whatever you think will calm and relax you. Part of my problem is my brain never switches off - I’ve tried reading, not looking at my phone, no TV, listening to a podcast or some whale moaning music, but I end up laying there over-thinking, so I usually keep as active as I can until I just flop.

Mood-enhancing ingredients such as French Lavender and Chamomile are know for their distinct properties. French Lavender for example is there to help you relax, make sleep come easier, relieve body aches, relieve anxiety, nervous exhaustion, insomnia and it may also help to encourage blood flow too. A lot of products which are “sleep” related contain Lavender in one form or another. Then we have Chamomile, it has a whole host of health benefits but in a product such as this, it shares many properties with Lavender in that it can help those who suffer with insomnia, it helps to relax and relieve anxiety as well as to gently calm your mood so you fall into a deeper sleep.

This is a scent I do find incredibly relaxing and after a long and stressful day in the office, I often just want to have a shower, curl up in bed and just forget the day and switch off. So this has helped immeasurably to do just that, the scent isn’t dominated by the Lavender either, so those of you who are not a fan of the scent needn’t worry too much because the Chamomile is much more dominant and gives a more floral scent.

Priced at just £4 for 100ml it is an absolute bargain and well worth a try if you find yourself in the same situation as me!

Whenever there is an incredible deal with By Terry, you can guarantee I am there in seconds to stock up on my favourite lip products - Baume de Rose Lip Scrub, Baume de Rose Flaconette and the product I am sharing with you today, the Baume de Rose Tinted Lip Care Stick.

The Tinted Lip Care Crayons which is available in Candy Rose or the shade I have which is Sunny Nude and they are the colour-enriched version of the brand’s original and iconic Baume de Rose, a product I am sure everyone has heard of, used and either does or has owned. Now, that product has been moved from a little pot to a stick to make it easier to use on the go and of course tinting them with colour.

Brimming with the same ingredients as the original Baume de Rose, this tinted lip balm crayon also has the task of nourishing, repairing, and protecting the lips as it also adds a sheer wash of shimmering colour.

If you have used the original Baume De Rose, then you will know just how delightful that texture is as it is applied to your lips without being greasy or texture and that very same feeling is what you get with these Lip Care Crayons, the almost velvety smoothness and subtle shine really does give your lips a boost of moisture and in this case a slight hint of colour too.

Ingredients

• Shea butter which is known for its moisturising properties
• Ceramides which also helps to repair the lips natural moisture barrier
• Vitamin E which helps to deeply hydrate lips
• Rose flower essential wax offers natural regenerating properties that softens and rejuvenates your lip tissue

Featuring what is referred to as being a precise, ergonomic tip to enable not only a flawless application but it is also great for a bit of touching up on the go too. On the lips, it does feel incredibly smooth, has a fairly glossy finish and most importantly of all, it is never sticky or tacky after application.

As you can see from the swatch above, Sunny Nude has a slight coppery bronze tone to it and honestly, it is just delightful, I wear it both on its own and over lipstick depending on my mood, the latter gives lipstick a really lovely finish.  Ideally if you are to wear this product on its own, I would advise using a lip scrub first because it does tend to cling to those drier lip parts.

This By Terry Baume De Rose Tinted Lip Care Crayon is priced at £26, which is on the pricey side, but it is also worth every single penny as it is such a delight to use and definitely worth looking out for when there is a sale.
